I had to study this song for an English assignment, and let me tell you, I was blown away by Bob Dylan’s lyricism. There are so many angles to look at the song from. It’s safe to say that the song now holds a special place in my heart.
He is the greatest song writer of all time and it's not even close.
The first time i heard "Knockin's on Heaven's Door", that one line in the song blew me away that someone could have such depth.
I am thrilled to have lived in the same Era with Bob Dylan

I'm in my 80th year. Graduated high school less than 3 years before this song was released. Haven't heard or thought about it for years? decades? Woke up this morning with the first 4 lines of the second verse running through my head -- In the dime stores and bus stations / People talk of situations / Read books, repeat quotations / Draw conclusions on the wall . . . Which bespeaks both the poetic power of my fave musician, and the utter weirdness of memory, eh.

He is good, but this song is in no way beyond human. Read Homer or Nietzsche and you will find texts that are beyond human, not this song. With other Dylan songs, I might be more easily convinced.
Bob's poetry has impacted my life more than any other artist. I am 20 years old and believe Bob is the best songwriter of all time!
I am 70 yrs. old. A musician. And Dylan is great because he is poet, but most of all because his lyrics are a genuine expression of his sincerity and soul.

You have great instincts but KEEP GOING. Do not stop. Dylan is great but if you like him there are much more profound artists to discover. Shakespeare is the final boss.
Bob Dylan is an absolute lyricist - a perfect poet. What a legend in his own lifetime.. there's nothing since that replicates him.

When Dylan visited Andy Warhol's Factory he was gifted/took an Elvis print by Warhol, which he subsequently tied to the roof of his station wagon and drove off with. Dylan didn't really care for the artwork and traded it for a couch with the Grossmans. Sally later sold it at auction for $750,000

You translated it into Korean. That's great. Don't know if the translation is any good (I don't speak Korean), but you deserve one "Like" from me for the effort. Songs are very hard to translate, especially Dylan's songs.

Dylan's imagery in this song is brilliant and his lyrical ability is astounding for such a young man (at this point). This is the kind of stuff that made other serious songwriters (ie. Lennon, McCartney) prick up their ears and sharpen their pencils.

This song hits me in the feels. I love pretty much everything Dylan did up to the late 70s minus a few missteps. However, in this era you can tell the guy is so confident and untouchable. The kinda song that’s almost your favourite song of all time the first time you hear it.

Bob, I was there in the beginning and I'm still around some 60-plus years later. It was a good folksy tune then and it brings back some wonderful memories what a gift and blessing your music gave to my generation as it goes on to continue to Delight the generations which followed peace and goodwill. I don't understand why i don't have anyone to share and listening to the beautiful music of Bob Dylan. I'm an absolute fan since i was a teenager, his music has affected and make me cry often , i love to play my guitar and any of his songs ... There's something strange in my life , in my generation... I've been threw away by the one i love and thought was the love of my life like i never existed , I'm in my 30's and it seems there's no way out for something better, so much hypocrite friends so much hurts with poor connection in this life , I don't understand what I have done so bad to be ignored like this , but at least thank you Bob Dylan to bring the joy of your music.

Here's something I just found interesting. Back in May 2013 Rolling Stone did a special collector's Bob Dylan issue .They listed their top 100 Bob Dylan songs and Love minus zero was not included .I don't know what they were thinking. But they missed the mark by a mile.

I have several online friends who are Aussies; one who lives outside of Melbourne .she's a writer. yeah I don't know how they came up with this list. what's incredible is that they could come up with a hundred best Bob Dylan songs when most people couldn't even have 10 songs that were really good. unbelievable.

Unfortunately, I never wrote or performed a song, so not even a top 1.
Coincidentally, about a month ago a flood of ideas for an amazing tale came to me from nowhere.
I never ever thought of myself as a writer so it was a shock.
Now I have the very first bedrock of a plot it has dawned on me the past few weeks what a monumental task it is to write a fully fledged book!
I'm a writer myself .I have two books one a short novel one a volume of poetry and I also do Open Mic work-- lots of Dylan covers. I'm no professional just 20 minute sets at a local bar which I haven't been at for the past three months because of the lockdown. I live up here in New Jersey. where in Australia do you live? So do you have a name? As for writing, go for it. My two books have been self-published but at least they're out there; when I'm gone, it's my legacy.
