This video is very helpful! It was made over a year ago, are we allowed to use credit cards and tap and go (similar to London). It's Oct 2024 right now for anyone reading the comments
Yes, tap and go with your bank card and also NFC can be used on all modes of public transportation in Milan. There's a bit more recent video here on the channel to refer to. Also M4 Blue line now serves the full length of it's line

can you talk about the option we saw on the ATM screen: "Io Viaggio Lombardia"? Is it the same as the "Io Viaggio Ovunque in Lombardia" from the Trenord machines? Do we need to pay the extra EUR10,00 for the card?
I will try to dig deeper around the topic, for now as far as I know and read that it's the same thing and you can use all means of public transportation mode inside Lombardia and that covers so many cities with interesting places to visit. Tickets exclude high speed trains, intercity trains and Airport express trains.
@@StrollingAround Thank you for the reply. I also read that on the Trenord website. However, I still have two questions. On the ATM website, it mentions that in order to buy the electronic version of 'Io Viaggio,' you first need to purchase the card for EUR 10.00, but it doesn’t clarify whether this also applies to the ticket sold at the machines. Additionally, the ticket sold by Trenord has a QR code instead of a magnetic stripe. Do you know how to use the QR code at the metro station? Could you clarify these points? I think that if I buy the ticket at the ATM machine it will be easier to use for the metro, but I am afraid if it will cost me the additional 10$
If you want from San Babila you can take metro 1 (red line) and the first station in the direction of "Rho/Fiera" (or "Bisceglie") is the DUOMO stop.🤗😊

Grazie per il video! Sai dirmi se per i bagagli dobbiamo fare il biglieto diverso per la metro partendo da Linate Aeroporto?
