Came here from Donut, and i have to say this actually helped me understand my braking system so much better. I helped a guy change my brakes last year, and he went so fast that I didn't pick up on a lot of things. The way you broke this down made it very easy to understand. Thank you!
Am impressed with your knowledge. I have to work on my trucks out of necessity but am getting interested in the process. Watching your videos make me enjoy and develop love and passion about cars.
Brake fade is no joke. I was coming down a winding mountain road and trying to be judicious with my brakes but got distracted talking with my friends in the car and when we got to the bottom my brakes disappeared, fortunately between the parking brake and downshifting I got it back under control, scary stuff.
I have queries about vacuum booster there some measurement of the push rod to the master cylinder which needed to be accurate.clarification of rasted pin rods for calipers which can move flexible while braking including bleeding procedures
Great video, however you forgot to mention how the slide pins attaching the caliper to the brake hanger allow equal force to be applied to both pads. It is very important to service the pins with grease and replace torn boots so the pads wear evenly. Also I love watching you on Real Mechanic Stuff.
