  • This magnificent performance by the lovely Kate Taylor was part of the Memorial intimate evening with Mindy's friends, family and the brood of musicians and artists who loved her. When Kate sang this - I cried for the second time that night. The first was when Phoebe Snow sang "Somewhere Over the Rainbow" and just walked off the stage and headed home.

Just seeing this. I was Mindy's music partner for several years. She gave me her mandolin and I see I'm here playing it. This was a wonderful night to celebrate a beautiful person. Miss you Mindy.

Am just now finding this. A wonderful tribute. I was in high school with Mindy and gratefully became reconnected before her passing. Her music is still such a treat. It's wonderful to know that she touched so many through her music and her life.

I was restless and could not sleep tonight thinking about people in my past who are gone. I thought of this song by Ms. Kate at Mindy Jostyn's memorial. If there is a more perfect song coupling for remembering such beautiful people in our lives, I have not heard it.

    Dan,
Thanks for opening your heart and soul in posting this beautiful song. It is perfect for remembering all the loved ones that have passed this past year. God has really put together a sweet band for the heavens this year with so many great musicians parting Earth this past year. My hand is open with nothing to offer except to take some of your pain so you can rest more easily these days. That is what friends are for, I'm here for you. Be good to yourself.
    Blessings, Ron
