As someone who comes from an hsp, is one, and is raising 3 of them, this is so helpful!! Very encouraging. I wish this was taught in education. What a difference this message would have made to my younger self! ❤

I wish these studies & talks existed in my younger years but I'm so glad HSP is discussed a lot more nowadays. I thought I was crazy for feeling so so much; from attuning to people's emotions to feeling for the animals, music, even objects, etc. I'm so glad to learn that if you are an HSP and grew up in a volatile home, the sensory processing increases even more as a survival mechanism (e.g: scanning for next potential danger, feeling overwhelmed easily, etc). I also can't imagine for boys who are taught to swallow their emotions, to "toughen up" and to mask their natural empathy/ sensitivity.

All my life, I haave been told consistently about this trait in me in all possible negative ways. Everybody complained , including me. I started healing only after seeing the mirror image of this. Wired differently and for a reason and THATS a STRENGTH. Inter Generational Genetic Genome Mutations. Embrace , this is a super power. Love to all Empaths and Resilient Beings.

Indeed. It is pretty much only seen in a negative light.

Hearing Andre was inspiring. Thanks for a well prepared and insightful talk. Anything worth having never comes easy, I choose to see this as a gift. All gifts have a price to pay, that’s just the way of life

Good to have this discussion on high sensitivity! As a highly sensitive person, the more this trait becomes incorporated as a 'positive' in common discourse, the more hopeful I feel about our direction as a species. I wondered why you didn't mention Elaine Aaron's foundational research and writing on the trait of high sensitivity?

the less they know the better. one day if they know a lot we will never get any jobs. they will always prefer people with higher stimulation threshold

Such an important book for the mankind, without exagerating. Hope it becomes another NYT bestseller.
