In one of your articles you mentioned that Dawson Falls can be reached from Dawson Falls Visitor Center, Stratford Mountain House and Stratford Plateau - can you please add more info about how far the round trip is to and from the falls? Is it shorter than going to the falls frmt he Forgotten Hwy itself? More details please:) Thanks in advance! This recording was amusing! Thanks:)

I grew up there! ❤️❤️❤️ it’s a wonderful little town to grow up in 💫 summers spent swimming in the Patea River, climbing Mt Taranaki, or walking the Carrington Walkway are all amazing memories I hold fondly
Amazing video! I miss Stratford.. well the one in East London actually, where l gre up. I did visit this Stratford close to Taranaki. Little quirky town. There’s also a quaint little heritage site further called Whangamomona where you can get your passport stamped. ☺️
Stratford-upon-Avon...The town is a popular tourist destination owing to its status as the birthplace and gravesite of playwright and poet William Shakespeare
Sadly we did not make it to the Pioneer Village, we wish we had unlimited time everywhere we go so we could do everything! But we'll be bask in Stratford for sure!
I'm from Stratford, Ontario, Canada. We actually have a Shakespearean Theatre Festival. Some streets and schools are named after Shakespearean characters. The river in Stratford is the Avon. So, Stratford, NZ is nothing unique. Except our Stratford doesn't have a glockenspiel. There is also a Stratford in the province of Quebec, and then farther south in Connecticut, U.S. A.
Visitors need to be educated about the crowns colonies...they will be surprised with how many of other countries/nations names are in new zealand and the monarchy ruling of thumb
As a person who currently lives in Stratford nz. It is very safe to walk around it rains a lot, and it is a dump site xd
Oh come on! Stratford is a fun little town!

Haha so Stratford towns around the world are all quirky! Cool! Do you know of any other?
@@NZPocketGuide Just the one in England; the quirkiest of them all.
The English are mastering quirkiness for centuries now haha
Funny need to check that out...street names 👍🇳🇿
I know, I can't believe we forgot to film them. Never mind... The Glockenspiel steals the show anyway.
The streets are named after Shakespearean characters! Clearly you haven’t been to Stratford in Ontario, Canada.
Nope we have not indeed :(

Thanks for the input ;)
@@NZPocketGuide your welcome. You will note now there a more than a few Stratfords around the world now...pride places of the queens and kings men.
Where you purposely trying to sound condescending and belittling?
