thanks for this rare vintage video. i just love coming back to it over & over again. minnie just brings back so many great memories of my childhood visits to nfld and brings to life that great newfoundland spirit that is so hard to come by outside nfld.

Saw a production at the Grand Bank Theatre Festival last night based on Minnie and it was great to look this up and see this video of the real thing. God Bless her!!
minnie's story is typical to a lot of nfld women & men who many had an old accordian around when they were kids if they were lucky enough they'd be allowed or able to sneak to from time to time and then forget when they get married but minnie is truly a rareity to have accomplished so much and at 75 do what she's doing. dont kill the poor girl with excitement, ha, ha. its a very heartwarming video & minnie is quite the character too. great video. thanks.
