I love that Sheldon has synesthesia! I didn't know what it was called until I was in undergrad. I was taking a bio-psych course, and the prof was talking about perception. After class, I went up to the board, drew an A, and said, "That's red. What does that mean?" He was pretty excited, which was fun. One of his colleagues was actually studying it, so I got to join the study and learn a lot about it.
@ItApproaches please educate yourself before calling someone crazy. It's not overpowering, I'm perfectly fine. It is like a rainbow sometimes, but it's perception, not actual sight. I can see if text is black, I just also perceive the colours, kinda like they're layered underneath. I've never seen any different so it's normal for me.
