Thanks for the shoutout guys! We absolutely loved camping at Lone Rock Beach and our time there was made better with friends as well!😉 And just so you know, all of Corey’s shots from Horseshoe Bend were at sunset, just after the sun went down!😊 Hope we get to see you all very soon!❤️
I thought about that when I was editing the video so I went back to look on IG. I figured I was wrong but left it anyway! Either way the pics totally rock!
Phil, get new knees. I had a full knee replacement on both knees at the same time. Stayed one day in the hospital . The first 10 days are no bueno but after that it's a life changer. If you get both done at the same time you have no choice but to get up and get moving and that is the best way to recover quickly. Most people get 1 done and then they have months of recovery because they baby it so much. I had my done 3 years ago at 65 years old and I'm not kidding, I never even think about them anymore, full range of motion and the pain is completely gone. The only thing my Dr said never to do again was skydive! Like I would do that anyways!!
Phil, i understand your knee situation completely. Mine was from years of sports and abuse. I had it scoped 3 years 5 years ago and it has taken a long time for it to get to the point i can do what i love best....... Walking!!!! I just had to push and ice till it just stopped swelling then started extending the walks. Going down slopes still hurts a little but it keeps getting less and less. I will say what you are doing is well worth the pain..... "No Pain....No Gain". Just don't forget to ice!!!
so refreshing to see a RUclips couple who both contribute to the work on the RV, great channel. I especially like how you’re not always telling people what they should do.
We are using all you mentioned but the book and Dyrt. Thanks again for your continuous support as we figure the RV life out. The accessories we have purchased have been recommended by you guys and they have not disappointed during our cross country trip. Thanks love your channel!!!
There are so many epic places to visit in Utah but right now mirror lake is amazing!! Still cool and green and there’s water If the smoke from the fires blows away it’s absolutely stunning to visit the uintahs
Phil it good to know thst you still try even with a bad knee i know how its both of my knees are shot all to #@#$% and back sometimes at end of day i can hardley move hurts to much but seeing you give it the navy best is a good thing so dont stop keep fighting and winning . OH keep makeing these grate videos love seeing you guys each weekend its always a joy
We have distant cousins who live in Page and work at Glen Canyon Dam. When we visited a number of years ago, there wasn't a charge to go to the lookout at Horseshoe Bend. I took the tour of the dam, very interesting to me because I worked for a power company here in Ohio. The lake is beautiful and very large. So fun to watch your videos and your meet-up with Chad and Tara. We spent a week there staying at Wahweap campground.
All good tips on finding backcountry camping. I’ll add one: Make your own resource! Watch Phil & Stacy and a few other good RUclipsrs - then write down the campsites. When you’re in campgrounds, ask other campers - share information! Write their tips down. Make an opportunity to talk to park rangers - ask about dispersed camping, they know the territory. Write down the info! Chances are, if you go to an area once, you may go back, but want to camp in dispersed camping - make your own guide. WRITE IT DOWN! Take notes on every campsite. We have notes on hundreds of campsites - it’s helpful when you’re old and forgetful!
If your knee(s) is degrading your quality of life and doctor recommends Total Knee Replacement (TKR), don’t wait. I had bone on bone, waited and regretted it. Had both done. Six months apart. Did PT before and after. No issues. No regrets.
If you have bad knees then I don't recommend you walk down to see the Pt. Reyes National Seashore Lighthouse... reason being is it is 300 plus steps and they number them so you can cuss each one of them on the way back up!
We enjoyed the very relaxing river rafting trip that went around Horseshoe Bend we liked it so much we have done the trip twice. We saw wild horses and lots of other things down there it is amazing from the top and bottom. First rafting trip it rained for a bit so there were so many waterfalls, it was truly special.
Hi guys! I hope once in a lifetime I will be so lucky to see you on the road. In the meantime, I'm so lucky to see all the beautiful parts from the USA, even I live in Norway! Thanks again for a great experience.
I came across a few of your videos and then went into binge watching mode. I'm trying to soak all this in. The wife and I will be starting our adventure around the US next winter. We are so excited! Thank you for all the tips and tricks.
Sandra Westley from the UK it’s jolly hard work walking through soft sand, our favourite beach has solid sand near the water but there’s all the soft sand of the sand dunes to get through first, and then back again. Love the RUclips channel, finding our Someday
I love Lone Rock! Such wonderful childhood memories. I keyak and hiked Antelope Canyon in June this past summer. Loved it. If course horseshoe bend is beautiful but just so sad at how low the water is. I'm kayaking around it this summer ☀️ love your videos. My husband and I have only been watching for a month or so and just binge watching. Just bought our first RV. We need all the information we can get. 2022 35ft HR Vacationer. Going full-time next year if I don't chicken out.
Great walks/hikes(?), however you want to label them. Flip-flops & bad knees are my 2 killers. So I never wear flips; it's tennies or hiking boots when I need something sturdier. & for my knees, dr said I needed R knee surgery. That was back in 2017 right before a long planned 3+ mo RV trip. Needless to say I told him it's not happening. & it still hasn't. I know how far I can push my knee & walking, with discretion, has helped it. So still no surgery. Good luck to Phil with his knee & brace. Be patient. Time's on your side. Looking forward to comps review on what you use to find camping sites👍
Used to be an avid beach wheeler back when I lived on Long island . You guys didn’t mention airing down the tires (big pain in the arsh) but makes all the difference in the sand . We use to air down to 15psi and you can go through any soft sand. With the big rig maybe not that low but Chad should def air down to 15-20 psi .. just a thought
There is an app 'Sun Seeker' that you can use to put in location and it will tell you the sun set and rise times for those 'golden hour' photos without having to guess. Its a paid app but it works like a charm. After all... how much do you spend getting to these great locations???? Love y'alls content... just AWESOME. And the editing is great too!
for me flip flops are always a no-go. If I don't wear my orthotics everything from neck down hurts. starting with the feet, then ankles, then knees, them hips, back, then the rest. What an fuddy-duddy I am. LOL
Hi new to your channel you al are Awesome . Take Care Be Safe and God Bless Us All. Gloria Thee 62 year's Young Traveling Nomad In Waiting. Happy Traveling..
Great video, and Phil you’re a trooper with that knee! I follow both of your RUclipss adventures. I was glad to see you both (Phil & Chad) with wide brim hats on… Gals where were yours? I have had so much skin cancer cut out of my face, I am pretty religious at wearing wide brimmed hats if out very long. My go too hat is Tilley’s… Enjoy your adventures & Stay Safe!
I like the ending of the video where Phil puts his face into the camera. Phil, go easy on the knee. You looked like your were in a whole lot of hurt on that short hike.
Yes what a beautiful area, have you been to the North Rim of the Grand Canyon, so beautiful. Also just west is Kanab Utah, a wonderful little town, the company I work for has a bar and restaurant there called The Iron Horse across the street from historic Perry's Lodge.
GREAT VID! Four of our favorite channel celebs that we get so much enjoyment watching. I am not sure if I would have the nerve to pull our 46k lb. coach onto sand. I might if I had a large dually standing by with proper straps. I seen a distressed rv down to the axles buried in the sand and it took a couple tow trucks, 4 hours later and $700 to get it out. I guess if we had your whole gang with us... we be like, let's getter done ! YOU GUYS ROCK! PEACE
Phil and my husband, Rog, must be cut out of the same cloth. Right now, he’s got his foot up after tearing an adhesion on Thursday playing softball. He will be back out there on Tuesday for the next game. Been enjoying watching your travels.
Looks like a fabulous place. Am wondering if the trail down to the dam lookout would be accessible to a person with a walker? Great video and information.
Good to see y’all having fun. Phil, hard not to push that knee too much, huh bud? Not bad at the time but it will remind you later! 😜 Can’t blame ya. Looked like fun. Y’all enjoy. Troy
We either go to campground and pay a few bucks to dump and fill. We have also used the Pilot/Flying J's and Cabelas. We call ahead to the campgrounds to see if they will allow us to come in.
One question I have from all of your adventures is who is the performer singing in your closing? I just love that song. Keep up the adventures it keeps armchair RVer’s dreaming. Thank you
Love it when "You, Me and the RV" meet up with "Changing Lanes"!

@@kevincameron8437 We Love those guys, we’ve met up before , it just never made it to RUclips😃
They are the best! We would love to meet up with them again!

We need to fix that!
I love seeing two of my favorite RUclips channels having fun together!
Thanks a ton! We love hanging out with them!!!
We love seeing the camping with friends theme. We watched Chad and Tara's video and now this one.

That "You are Good" is a significant stress eliminator. Good teamwork!

That was great I follow both you couples and this was a two for got both with one watch.
Man that sand driving was nerve racking. We loved visiting Horseshoe Bend. Beautiful area for sure 👍
Yes it was! I was so nervous!
I can't wait to visit all these places. I love the southwest. Love your posts.

Four of my favorite RVers. Love watching you all
Enjoyed the views of Horseshoe Bend and wow, what an amazing camping location. "No butt shots" Stacy 😆 keeping it real!!
Love it, your driving on the beach and someone says "look at all the sand!" You can't imagine how that sounds to a Floridian.
Nice to see both of you together. Enjoy both of your videos..
Thanks 👍

It's awesome time Thank you for a beautiful journey we'll be out there soon 7 years in counting
Phil, I feel your pain brother... I had three surgeries, right knee, and when I do lots of walking... its not so good.
As always it's fun to follow the Navy Family discovering all the little out of the way places in the great US of A!
It is a great time! Thanks for hanging out with us today!
