  • In this video, Travis will walk you through doing an in-place upgrade of CentOS 7 to AlmaLinux 8.
    Please note that this was done on a CentOS 7 minimal install with NO OTHER SOFTWARE installed! If you have other software install, you will have more steps to walk though. Since each server is different, we can't cover every scenario.
    BEFORE YOU DO ANYTHING, TAKE A SNAPSHOT (on virtual systems) AND BACKUP YOUR DATA! NodeSpace is NOT responsible for lost data. TAKE A BACKUP. VERIFY YOUR BACKUP.
    If you can, clone a production system to a sandbox environment and then work through the upgrade there first.

    After converted, should i put almalinux iso on proxmox?

    How about the apps and all the settings from centos? Will it be still untouched?
