if an artist mixes genres as much as this, no matter how well they do it, they are unlikely to get mass appreciation, sadly. ween is another band that mixes genres but has never had a breakout mainstream moment. which is sad because it takes more talent to genre-mix than stay in a box. many such cases

I lost my dad this year. This is really hitting me hard. I miss him so much. He was on hospice I helped care for him until the very end. It was the hardest thing I’ve ever done in my life. I’m a terrible drug addict, 8 rehabs never did fix anything. But going through all of that with my father and seeing what the drugs did to him finally gave me the prospective I needed. I’m not sober. But I’m using safe substances and not overusing them. I just want him to be proud of me. Anyway I should stop the rant, this is a fucking RUclips comment. Thanks for the music Yela. Been bumping you for a long, long time. Your catalog was perfect for my strung out days, and has progressed to being perfect for my better ones.

To write that song and video that he did I think it was called dear slim. Depression & pain were once my darkest demons
My heart was freezin - treason against myself in a frozen season
Drugs were once my band aid, but the blood still poured out the sides
And it only worsened as I cried over my friends that died
Now I climb Back to the bottle, that devilish whiskey
Now I’m called Back to that sharp love, the needles that kiss me
The swamp deepens, light decreases, while the urge for the end increases
Daily more pieces of me deceases-
That was 13 years ago or so, sobriety since then
Depression still attacks the pain remains, now I’m able to cope with them
The difference is the clear eyes & mind, able to see without blurred obstructions
Keeping on because those I’ve lost would want me to, do it all in remembrance of em.

I lost My Brother a few years ago, hadn't seen him in 30 years and we were about to connect and he was gonna come stay with My Wife and I with her family. Sadly he had a motorcycle accident and just never got better. I did get a chance to see him on his death bed in hospice. I told him if he thought he could pull through then fight like hell and if he felt like he couldn't pull through then I told him to go be with our Mother, He passed the day after I left... I am so thankful that I got to see him and I throw rocks at his window almost everyday!!! Thanks Yelawolf you helped me cope and You will always have My Respect!!!!! I meet Yelawolf at a bottle signing in Jacksonville fl. My 6 yr old son absolutely loves Yelawolf so I wanted to take him to meet the man. It does help that I’m a huge fan also but it was mainly for my son. We were in line and the manager told us to take my son outside since he was just a kid. I told Yelawolf when I got to him and he said bring him in. My son talks about it to everyone. That meant so much to me. He signed my sons jacket, asked him his favorite song, my son started rapping opie Taylor to him.

Life has never been the same without you, somehow I will find a way, because that’s my only choice. Miss my kids, my family and my friends. But I know better now then too ever let loneliness or the fear of it, be how to make my life better, only God can do that, or he sends the right people to help us in our hard times. That’s how I was raised and I want to keep the Faith. ❤
