That looks like a fun class to race. Do the class rules specify using a certain thickness of lead wire? Seems like there might be a weight-saving opportunity by going to a slightly smaller wire.
No rules on lead wires, and you are right about a weight saving with a smaller gauge of wire 👍🏻. These motors don’t draw a lot of current so 22AWG would be fine.
