IMO: It's difficult to find any machine that is so graceful looking and soothing to the ears as a steam locomotive. Thank you, JT, for your videos!! May God always bless you and your family
It's cool to see a steam engine again. Back in the late 1930s when they first started producing diesel engines, that was the beginning of the end of the steam engines.
One can virtually smell the Steam and smoke as we go through a rather damp weekend. A true steam buffet with something for everybody both in size and power
Hey JT: super great video! Really enjoyed the steam engines from back in the day. Performance, reliability and safety have always been a part of railway history... Thank you for sharing! 👍
Seeing that train makes me think about the Baldwin 4-4-0's that Queensland Government Railways used to run on suburban trains around Brisbane, and other places in the state. It was long before my time, but I think about those trains going through where I live. I really wish a couple of them had been preserved.
Thank you for bringing this video out of the vault, Jaw Tooth! I enjoyed watching this video that you took on 6 October 2019 while standing in the rain several times. All the steam engines were interesting to see.
Awesome! Thank you! I appreciate your support. My trip to Florida next week is back on. I see the doctor on Tuesday and then leave on Thursday. Hopefully I can get some great content in the sun. lol
Strasburg # 1 Northern Central # 2 Stewartstown # 3 (but they’re really trying to get better. Takes money, people, and time). Love that you visited York County, PA!!!
Actually I like all of the steam locomotives they are always great to see and hear as they pass by you on the tracks and blow the horns very nice to see them again here thanks Jaw Tooth.🚂🚃🚃🚃🚃🇺🇲💨🤠🐶😺🇺🇲
Very cool steam video. I haven't seen the Northern Central yet. If you ever get a chance go see the Reading and Northern 2102. 5500 hp. Steam locomotive. The days they run it aren't out for this year as of now. Williams Grove in Cumberland Co. Pa. has an original 1901 P.R.R. steam locomotive also.
This looks like the steam engine over at Dollywood. Such fun to ride but you’ll be picking cinders out of everything the rest of the day. We also have one here in my neck of the woods called The Great Smoky Mountains Railroad. Cool channel!
Old wood burning locomotives, looks like a 4-4-0 wheel arrangement, some of those were coal fired, sounds like type of hooter whistle, they built industrial 🏭 America, always enjoy seeing the J Class 4-8-4 611 in all Her glory with the 3 chime whistle, been awhile since I've filmed Her,back when NS was still running it on home rails out of Roanoke VA to Radford VA and turning it on the Wye track at Walton!🛤🚂
Thanks 👍 Every time I go to Pennsylvania it rains. Last year I only spent one night in Strasburg because of all the rain. I have video from there of a photo charter that I never posted because of the rain and gloom
I've been there 3 times and each time I go the steam locomotive is either down for maintenance, or breaks down on the previous train before 😂. I must be unlucky. Anyways, new freedom is only about an hour and a half away from where I live. The trip to Howard Tunnel is their longest and my favorite.
That is a replica of a design from the Civil War at latest, identifiable from the inclined cylinders. After that, frames and boilers could be built long enough that the cylinders could be level. The Northern Central previously ran between Baltimore and Harrisburg but was washed out in Maryland in 1972. New Freedom is as far south as the track now runs. Part of the southern end is used by the Baltimore light rail.
It was funny how all the photographers were taking pictures of her from every possible angle. I never did put that full video together but I might soon
It has always burned oil. It was built in 2013 by Kloke Locomotive Works of Elgin, Illinois. I don't know if I put that in the description. It is called York. There is a second one called Leviathan. I have filmed it with the Lincoln Funeral Train in Kentucky
@@JawTooth I rode my bike on that bike trail and it is so refreshing and relaxing. I even rode my bike that rides along side the railroad tracks and there was a bridge to cross and you have to pay attention or you would end up riding off the bridge. Going to get back up in that area very soon. The day I went there the train were not running.
I love listening to steam locomotives. It was ironic. I had never heard of New Freedom PA but we have a town in Wisconsin called New Freedom and it has s train museum. 🚂🚃🚃🚃

Steam Locomotives are cool
You can say that again.
@nimblehealer199 steam locomotives are amazing, despite being the first locos to run since 1804.
@@LisbonRailProductionsandF1 I absolutely agree
@@nimblehealer199 indeed.
@@nimblehealer199 one day, I will travel to the USA and film the steam locomotives.

W hy doesn't these trains have the taillights on of the last car? Isn't that required?
The end of train device is required during times of poor visibility. Its common for small trains not to have one
