I won’t say kompany better he still rookie. Tuchel is more like defensive style coach .. kompany is playing hansi flick style high press and keep attacking..the players seems to adapt to his style and they all look comfortable happy and playing for the coach.
What Tuchel did the seasons before was bad and the League performances were horrible even most of the wins felt poor. Almost not a single confident victory even against small teams.
That’s because he did not have a good #6! His system and style needs a good #6 like Conte in Chelsea. He is as good a coach in a must win game as anyone. He might not be a league coach which Bayern doesn’t need cause they are way above the other teams. Last year was an exception that they did not lose the league rather Leverkusen won it ! Bayern let go of Guadiola because he could not win UCL, and Tuchel is perfect for that if you want to win UCL as your priority over league title. If not, then Tuchel is not an ideal coach for winning the league 11 straight times. But given the new players, Tuchel can win the league this year also. Winning back the league may seem good this year, but I won’t credit to the changed coach, rather Leverkusen come back down to earth. And it will give Bayern boss false impression that Kompany can also do better in UCL. Until he proves it, I will bet he can’t take Bayern past any top teams like Man City, Arsenal, Real, Barcelona, Inter, Liverpool.
