Dam Hakeem Butler is a freak show of an athlete. 6’5.3/8” 227lbs with 35.25 inch arms has almost 11 inch hands ran a 4.48 and a 1.51 10 yard split. He is a WR not a TE.

True, I'm pulling for him considering some people just develop differently and or need some confidence. But, it's always been a dangerous game to fall in love with measurables.

Auden Tate for example was like that but he was quite a bit slower with a crazy catch radius. Butler sounds like Calvin Johnson but a step or two slower. If the bengals can coach him up we might have something their. We have too many receivers that can play so many roles it’s gonna be a fun year if we stay healthy.

    Happy "WHO DEY" Sunday,
Looking forward to another Bengals season....this is the time of the year when I get dirty looks for crosschecking all the family schedules with the Bengals schedule and let them know I am unavailable during Bengal games 😂

Trent Brown is a dawg!! He is an elite pass protector and a near elite run blocker. He has played over 1000 snaps 3 times in his career. I think this is one of those years so it will be 4. Last year he played around 750 snaps and in true pass sets 1 on 1 on an island the 2 best offensive tackle last year where #1 Tyron Smith and #2 Trent Brown. That’s where he is the best and most comfortable in an island. Guys can’t get around him. Same thing with Orlando but Brown is even better at it. And his run blocking grade last year was 80.3. So Trent is at home in a power run scheme a wide zone sceme or a drop back passing scheme which is what we want to be. I think they will still do the gap run scheme though it seems like these linemen are better at the than wide zone. Armies Mims and Trent Brown would be great in a wide zone scheme.

OMG guys Dax Hill played NICKEL CORNERBACK FOR MICHIGAN!! He played a little SS too I think but he was primarily a nickel! Of course he looks more comfortable at CB. And I don’t think DJ Turner is undersized. He is 6’ 185. That’s not undersized for a CB. I hope Turner works out at CB because I wasn’t Dax to be the starting nickel next year when Hilton is gone because Hilton has played his way into a lot bigger contract. But outside CB is new for Dax. I really feel bad for the kid. Last year he played a position he has never played and this year they have him trying out at something else he hasn’t really done before. I think he is going to be CB4 this year and Jalen Davis is cut and maybe signed to the practice squad. Mike Hilton is a very instinctive player. Dax is a better athlete than he is. Quite a bit better actually. I think DJ Turner should get his weight up to 190 lbs.

Don't count Dax out for starting outside CB he's bigger, an athletic freak who's more aggressive at the line of scrimmage than DJ but DJ has been making plays to so I'm ok with whoever starts there both dawgs

As I recall, Bob Trumpy was a wide receiver that converted to tight end. According to his book, he had a 10 pound weight hidden in a towel when they weighed him in so that they would consider him at tight end.

I don't think it's smart that the team is against bringing in a vet corner that can atleast push Turner and Hill and preferably start at the CB2 spot. And those corners are still available.

Corners get beat sometimes. That is just a normal part of being a corner. My question is, which player is not going to get abused if they are in certain matchups against stars on the biggest stage? Or, which player is at going to be able to at least work with help (double coverage) to limit one of those stars?

Sam Hubbard is in the best shape of his life. Going to have a career year. I’m predicting at least 9.5 sacks for same and 70 tackles with 2 forced fumbles. Trey will have 18 this year Murphy will have 8.5 and Ossai will have 8. Sheldon Rankins will have 7 and BJ Hill will match his career high of 5.5. Jenkins will get a couple too and so will Jackson.

No Mims seems like a great kid. His favorite things to do are 1) play football and 2) hunt hogs lol. Hey hunting hogs is pretty dam fun and wild pork tastes different than store bought. It taste more well wild. It’s great. Sort of like dear meat reallly really good stuff. Mims is a country boy. Seems like he was raised right and he was had I think a 3.5 gpa at Georgia so he is smart too. That’s important for an offensive tackle. Orlando is obviously smart so is Mims and Trent.

Vonn Bell is 29 and was arguably the better safety the last couple years he played with us. When he signed there was never a question that he would be one of the starter. Wish Carolina cut him sooner so we could have used the Geno stone money elsewhere

We can't win a superbowl with the amount of explosive plays per game like last year. We must have been around 10 20+ yard plays given up per game last year on defense.

Butler is a WR. The Bengals never have any luck when they switch people’s position. This guy Butler played WR In college not TE. His Jr year at Iowa state he had 936 yards and 12 tds. His senior year he had 59 catches 1167 yards 14 tds at 19.8 average per catch. That is a WR. He was an All American in college too

Butler belongs in the ufl. Don't act like the dude has ever done anything in the actual league. He's clearly a 5th stringer on most teams and should stay away from the nfl b4 he gets exposed for being trash

I do t see why you are trying to make Butler a TE because of his size. He is faster than Tee Higgins. He is more explosive than Tee Higgins. He is a huge WR at 6’5’’ 227 lbs and he ran a 4.48 and has a 36 inch vertical and he has over 35” arms and almost 11 inch hands. Tee is 6’4’’ 219 lbs snd ran a 4.59 has 34 inch arms and has a 31” vertical. I think Tee can jump higher than that now and probably run faster than that too but these are the number we have. And this guy Butler was UFL offensive player of the year. So he was the best in the UFL. That’s not insignificant. There are some good players there. And he just turned 28 so he is experienced and knows how to play ball. I would at least keep this guy on the practice squad.
