The piano, vocals and jazzy percussion hits on this tracks are just * chefs kiss * The late night, penthouse top floor, elegant romancing vibes be REAL! :D
Aqua Regia is an acidic solution used to dissolve metals like gold and ive been racking my brain to figure out all the meta ways they could be using this
@@SteveOGRock Exactly. But did you guys see that the animation started with a "fountain" of gold and that the 1st time Vessel drops the Aqua Regia verse the animation changes and there's no gold anymore, and then the "creature" appears. I thought it was quite neat and well thought.🤓
First. I'll be back with an epilogue after I gather my thoughts... Okay, so... This was one of those rare instances where halfway through the song I found myself thinking, "don't do a breakdown this time." That thought doesn't come often with this band. But they created such exquisite atmosphere here that flipping into a big chonky riff would have ruined all the delicate layers they had carefully crafted in the lead-up. This was a delight. I'm reminded of Portishead again. I'm reminded of Will Swan's guitar tone. I'm reminded of fucking Miles Davis' Bitches Brew when they started throwing around some of those jazzy chords. The piano even evoked some Tori Amos. These past four songs have been a FEAST. So much to dissect. I always think there's no way they can keep up this momentum, but I am always wrong. And that makes me so happy. Worship. 🤘🙌
Yes, good shout Craig. I didn’t realise it during my first listen but I absolutely loved the lounge piano moment instead of a heavy breakdown. Also serves to make heavy breakdowns more rare and appreciated when they happen. There’s nothing token about Sleep Token’s songs 😜
Sleep token intrigues me, they give you a visual to contemplate and take you on a journey in each song. The latest songs do have a sense of sex appeal about them, im not sure how else to explain it haha
i love the jazziness and would absolutely love more of in in mix with more heavy vocals. the great thing about sleep token is that no matter what you're in the mood for, they have a song that will hit that spot
So glad you stayed up! I just finished your reaction to Granite, then I saw that ST dropped this one, so I had to listen to it four times ;) Then I saw you did a reaction. Yay! I absolutely love this one already. Worship
I had never heard of Sleep Token until I watched your "The Summoning" video (thank you my good Sir). I'm digging into this band. I can't shake the feeling this song (along with the video) is merely a volume of a larger story with an overarching message that must be deciphered. But I can't figure it out yet. Nice thorough reaction though, thank you.
Me too! A little gutted it’s not in Brixton anymore, I do like that venue. But the Apollo isn’t all that different I suppose. Also incredibly excited for Northlane 🤘🏻
Good to know I’m not the only one ruining my Friday for a single video🌚🤣
Hahaaa! Yessir! ✅ Ask me in 5 hours time whether I regret my decision after a 3 year old jumps on my head to wake me😅
Same here in Milan, Italy! ;) ahahahaha
Jaysus, good effort Dario!

Nice! Thanks for the knowledge.

Lol!
@@SteveOGRock I edited myself down to a single paragraph this time. Trying to practice self-control, but these guys don't make it easy 😆
its so cool and unique yet melodic!! havent fallen in love with a new band like this in a long time
@@musiclighthouse1913 welcome to the club. We've been waiting for you.

my face was going the same, almost a "stank" jazz face. perfect
There is truly a lot of broad talent in this band.
I am waiting for this stuff to start showing up as movie soundtrack material.
This song is inexplicably beautiful
Its my favorite ST song
And they all are favorites but this one just hits different for me
It’s a beautiful track. Really comes to life in a big way when they play it live as well.
such great music, wow is right

wow i really loved that

absolutely

Honoured to have introduced you to Sleep Token! They are wonderful.
I wonder how many artists Vessel has ghostwritten for 🤔
he did for holding absence I think
@@Jarrah-ep8xj oh really? Interesting
You're the only person I've heard talk about the background noise. It's the sound of tables or chairs closing like the lounge is closing
You're going to have to shift this to the other channel! Gorgeous!
Haha fair!
Loving the vibe. Need to delve into the lyrics too. The album is going to be amazing.
It certainly looks that way! Can't wait for more.

@@SteveOGRock yay! A real shame about the whole Brixton situation. So glad Hammersmith was free that evening . Its going to be a lively! 🙂
Well that was a ridiculously epic show.

Jake Mundy is an amazing bassist... hehe.
Try to guess what the time was here in Finland when they released this. 🤣
Yikes!
