News flash defense doesnt need the help, why come to walk through have the coaches do that, when we put pads on and the defense isn't there thats a issue not for voluntary camp when you know your not getting any work on defense.
You would think people making millions of dollars could show up for 3 days to get acquainted with the new defensive coordinator and their new teammates.
Why should they? They ran this exact same defense with Vic Fangio when the new DCoordinator was an asst under Fangio. They’re in Zoom Meetings everyday. Daz Newsome got injured on the VERY FIRST DAY. Why risk that when you already have 17 game season plus preseason and playoffs if you’re fortunate and an even smaller offseason to recover because of it. Btw, if you get injured during the off-season outside of their workout facility, they can void your entire contract.

These reporters are sitting there talking about guys not showing up to a volunteer practice. We talking about practice, not a game but practice... 🤦🏾♂️ 😂
Yea but we have a new D.C. i want to be better than 500 and this offense is still going to need big D to show up have a good day
@@richardhusband4584 Bears won 1 playoff game in the last 15 years, they've never had a franchise QB but the defense has always been solid. I'm sure they had plenty of people at those OTA's the last 15 to 20 years and they are still mediocre. The problem is the offense and not having a franchise QB. Now if a bunch of offensive guys didn't show up maybe I could see the point of being at a volunteer workout. Bears problem is not lack of practice in the off-season, it's them not having a franchise QB. Hopefully that problem is solved with Fields.
The QB comp is invalid unless they are talking about the actual snaps between the 2....the dude is projecting.
I forsee the defense coming out of shape weighing 400lb apiece saying put us in coach were ready . Bears lose first season game 45 - 24.
Smh these are two company guys
* from the defense*
he folds like a lawn chair under pressure
Biggs getting healthy great job
So they spent over a third of this post to whine about defensive players not being there... they always had great participation in the past...
quit crying about the Defense the new DC has been with them for what about a decade or close by now?
The defense is fed up with the offense still..I think they just had enough
Coaches should really try everything they can to favor the guys who show up to get field time
11% of people listening to this think content is bad. Those 11% are right you guys harping on who's not present is useless talk to us that are not at practice. I assume you 2 have been at practice so talk about what you are seeing at the practice of players that are present and working hard. We don't care what you think about team culture or it being .500 team just tell us who's looking good/bad/or whatever and why. fp
When the defense doesn't show up, its a clear indication that the "team" is okay with being mediocre. If that is true, the "team" should be sold to an owner that is committed to winning.
I agree it seems like .500 culture. Roquan seems like the only guy who REALLY wants to win, and that describes the Bears defense pretty well for the last 2 years in general. Mack, Hicks and Quinn are showing exactly what it takes to be mediocre, and they’ve shown it on the field.
BEAR DOWN BABY
These guys talk about a “.500” culture. If that’s true then a good amount of that I agree falls on the players. That said the Bears GM drafted those players so just another reason he should be gone. Even if Fields is good taking him was a move of a man or men desperate to keep their jobs. It doesn’t mean they should keep them to sandbag his career.
dalton what no
This is practice Without a large amount of our starters. Just a couple of days and you guys are marveling about Andy Dalton? Slow your roll. Lol
🤣 we still have three more months and this isn't mandatory....
Red Rifle!
Coming from a colts fan.. who's just here because bears drafted my qb in fields.. bears media content is so bad. Thought just the organization was bad but apparently it's all around 🤣
please pass wtf u on
OK YALL, LETS BE HONEST!
The coaches, players, and media, will be able to tell right away who should start. Justin fields will make it easier for Nagy to start him day one! First of all, fields has publicly said that he want the starting job, and second, talent wise....there miles apart!
You're high dude. You really want Fields first NFL game to be him running away from the best pass rusher in the NFL???
@@joeodonnell8800 at least he can avoid him. Dalton can’t out run a turtle.
@@MikeJones-bl6lu I just don't get people who want fields to start week 1. It's not exactly easy to learn a playbook, and idc how fast you are. You shouldn't have to outrun Aaron Donald for your first NFL game. Let Andy take the hits for a few weeks start fields when he seems ready.
@@joeodonnell8800 Dalton and Fields have the exact same experience with that playbook. Dalton has already proved that he can’t win in the NFL. Do we really need to see more of that?
@@MikeJones-bl6lu he doesn't need to be the entire season starter. Maybe not even half the season. But he can be a game manager. Beat up bad teams until fields is actually ready.
he may not know this playbook, but he's seen a few now.
Dalton knows how to read an NFL defense. He knows how to make calls at the line. He's seen multiple NFL playbooks before.
If you think Fields can absorb this information as fast as him you're probably mistaken.
The defense wasn't number 1 last year. As far as I'm concerned it's you're either the best or you show up.(even if it is optional) Considering the defense wasn't even top ten last year I'm not exactly excited for this next year of defense which will probably regress even further.
They were much better than their rating. I mean really how long can the defense hold up when the O would go 3 and out every series.
Brad Biggs needs to retire
?
Are the Bears a hungry team? No no and no
I see Brad Biggs finally took my advice and lost some weight! Smh!
You old beat writers sound privileged. Brad whom has always been overweight w/health problems should understand.
Tear on the body is real. Dan has never played at any pro level. You guys complain about everything.
It’s voluntary! He also said they’re there during zoom VOLUNTARY zoom meetings.
Agreed brother. They make it hard to listen to sports with your team when these 2 just bitch none stop.
@@izzy2802 my point exactly brother
You sound like you are good with the losing culture.
Do what you can afford
Wack take.
It was optional
Bro have you ever played a sport???
Optional means you go anyway.
Especially if you're a millionaire
@@joeodonnell8800 their being millionaires doesn't change the fact that it's optional. Get over it.
This is what a losing culture does to some fans....
ITS VOLUNTARY, RELAX!!!!! YOU GUYS ARE PARANOID
I wanted the Bears to sign Dalton last year instead of Foles. I think it’s great a veteran of Daltons caliber can help Fields learn and develop.
This is what I wanted as well!!!!
Urban Myer had 100% attendance from a 1 win team 90 players. They should fire Nagie now and save the drama later.
You’ll be the dude praising naggy when we’re winning 😂😂
1 win team means everyone is on the hotseat.... of course they all are gonna show up
FFS you 2 are tough to listen to😴💤
That sucks imagine that millionaires not showing up 52 SHOULD BE THIER WOW .
Nagy is soft and scared. He isn’t a coach, he tries to be a players buddy. He has created the 500 culture. No accountability. Good on Roquan Smith! That’s the defensive leader. Not Mack, Hicks and especially not Eddie Jackson.
These 2 are lazy af. Up in arms over nothing. Relax fellas, go outside.
@@TonyThePodBoss Well, it tells you about commitment to the team. I wonder what kind of turnout other teams had at OTAs?
@@jago76 I can’t speak for other teams. I’m focused on the Bears. This defense stayed on the field too damn long because this offense had so many 3andOuts. Let these guys rest their worn down bodies.
This should be a wake up call that Nagy can’t look like a good coach b/c the defense makes him look good. He won Rookie Coach of the Year b/c of Fangio& his defense.
His time for Nagy to focus on his side of the ball and hold his own weight.
A lot of vets on D what if they are out in support of AR??
Brad Biggs is a clown!
If anyone can screw this up, it will be Nagy. Who knows what he really thinks?
Send Nick foles Anthony Miller and Riley Ridley and a 3rd for Quintorris Jones .
And start Justin fields day 1 like his longtime mentor Cam Newton !! 🐻⬇️
Dalton is going to play so well for the Bears that the team will be forced to bring him back as the starter next year.
