Creates QB controversy if Penix kills it in the preseason or if Cousin's struggles (no clear leader on team) 4. How can they in one segment praise the Bears #9 pick and then in the next say the Falcons didn’t want to reach on someone so they took Penix at #8. You don’t think Kirk Cousins would’ve loved getting Rome Odunze?
Do you honestly think Rome would be the missing piece to a championship team for the falcons, especially when there are other mouths to feed in Pitts, London and Bijan? I think if Penix and Rome both hit their ceiling, Penix opens that championship window much wider than Rome

Good observation regarding Waldron. Most of the media is not talking about Seattle's offensive performance last year. They had weapons and underperformed. Was it his play calling or did Geno take a step back. I don't blame Pete.
Don't understand? A team only has so many resources to build the team with. Atlanta just spent twice on the same position. It would be like me buying two cars. I can only drive one at a time, and now I can't afford that vacation. Atlanta just paid top dollar for a used KIA with a rebuilt engine, then went out and bought a new car. Opportunity cost is the REAL cost.
So you think they should play without a backup QB? And Penix only costs them 9 million per year, which is not expensive for a backup QB. BTW, I have two cars, and it is not stupid to do that.
On the Seattle offense point, the interior of the offensive line was objectively terrible, and could not block for the pass or the running game. Add on playing against Aaron Donald, Armstead and the 49ers dline and a defense that couldn't stop a nose bleed, meant basically we were always throwing the ball...With a bad and injured oline...Waldron didn't help but if he learned some lessons from last season, the Bears offense should be a good one.

Atlanta has plenty of weapons. The top defensive player in the draft was not taken til the teens and probably wont make that big of an impact. Cousins gets hurt guess what you have a first round talent young stud qb who's more athletic and throws the ball better than Cousins and alot of yall want to complain about it... smh
18:21 this stat exists yet people will stll maintain that Herbert is overrated, completely disregarding some of the worst situational playcalling the sport has ever seen, and a horrible defense, both coming from a defensive minded HC with no feel for the game 😮💨 A few punts here and there (instead of going for it on 4th down in your own territory with a horrible defense), and a few well placed field goals (taking the points you can get rather than leaving so many points on the field, only to lose games by a fewer amount of points you could've had in FG tries), and the narrative surrounding Herbert's name would be completely different. If you don't think so, see Joe Burrow's SB run, where his coach knew when to punt and take the points they could get. Then see how Burrow has an absolutely horrendous first half of the season last year after getting paid and people still has no worries about him as a QB.....
Only video I have seen defending the Falcons draft pick. They never had a succession plan post Matt Ryan. They tried to get Deshaun, glad it didn’t work out. Mariota is not a starter and Ridder failed to prove he could be the franchise qb. Heinicke was always just a okay backup, certainly better than Ridder. You see Penix is still there, go and take him while you can if you really believe he’s the guy for the next decade.
As a bears fan, im double glad falcons took penix. I rather vikings get McCarthy and that pick gave the bears, odunze too. Falcons killed 2 birds with one stone for the Bears
Heard Washington fans say Polk was better than Rome. Just playin I’m a pats fan so I’m just hoping he will be lol. I like Rome a lot he’s a great dude with a great attitude. Hopefully Caleb lives up to the hype and just won’t be a normal #1 bust like usual. Personally I don’t trust Caleb but he might prove me wrong
Jaylen made some insane catches and he filled in for McMillan (the #2 wr) perfectly. He has hands for days. It's just his route running needs to be polished buts he still balls out.
Theyre missing the point on the Cousins/Penix situation. Its not that they drafted Penix, its all the $$$$$$$$$$ they gave Cousins, when they couldve traded a 5th for Fields, and had him and Penix battle it out.
The problem is you “passed” on rome…. Like green bay passed on higgins and pitman….. think about the superbowls greenbay would have if they had highins
he wasn't. Allen, Herbert, and Mahomes have great deep balls. Having a great deep ball doesn't mean hitting a wide open guy 25+ yards down the field due to Shanny's scheme. It means making throws nobody else can make on a rope. Purdy sucks and he's the reason they lost the SB. That and Shanny not running the ball
@@paulmartin2348 He led the league in deep balls well into the season. You can spin it however you want but he's an accurate deep ball passer. Denial runs deep though.
I do kinda get that, his contract is wild. But it’s never a bad thing to have a pretty good qb that doesn’t turn the ball over too much that can be a mentor while also not having to do too much with all the other offensive talent. He’s only there for two years and then it’s penix’s time and he’ll be way more improved from where he is. They’ll be fine.
"Paying Kirk to be a B QB" Lol. They paid Kirk because he gives the Falcons the best chance to win the NFC SOUTH. The NFC SOUTH is weak. Baker Mayfield is the epidome of a B QB. He was the best QB in the NFC South and the Bucs won the Division with a 9-8 record. Let that sink in. He's not better than Kirk and that was the Falcons thought process. Who gives them the best chance to win the NFC SOUTH now and who can we draft to succeed him in 2-3 years. Which is why they drafted Penix. It's not rocket science. 🤷🏾♂️
Exactly. Either signing Kirk or drafting Penix is a mistake. They went all in on two separate guys that cannot be on the field at the same time. It reeks of a franchise that doesn't have a real gameplan and it just making stuff up as they go. And pretending that they are copying the Packers model is laughable. For one, Penix is almost as old as Love is right now. The Falcons paid Kirk to make the a Super Bowl contender and then decided instead to prepare for the future. If they wanted Penix to be their guy, don't get Cousins. Maybe sign Russell Wilson as a just in case bridge guy. If the Falcons had done that I think everyone would love the Penix pick.
Cus maybe dude is gonna be 27 in 2yrs?. And if Kirk is what Atlanta hopes he is, then it’s the fact you wasted a top 10 pick that could’ve helped you NOW even more. They should’ve drafted McCarthy if the plan was to sit the qb for 2 yrs
Michael is already 24yrs old can’t wait to long to get him in, wasn’t a smart move if Kirk stays healthy bc besides the achilles injury Kirk is made out of steel hasn’t missed a game since his sophomore year at Michigan State. Colin says nxt yr is a bad QB yr then changes his mind once 3 of them get hyped up just watch

we're fittin to see the
best of Drake London
Atlanta has plenty of weapons. The top defensive player in the draft was not taken til the teens and probably wont make that big of an impact. Cousins gets hurt guess what you have a first round talent young stud qb who's more athletic and throws the ball better than Cousins and alot of yall want to complain about it... smh
@chrismalik1579 and then they're paying a QB over 100 million for no reason. Smart play!
@chrismalik1579 the move made no sense.
🤡🤡🤡
18:21 this stat exists yet people will stll maintain that Herbert is overrated, completely disregarding some of the worst situational playcalling the sport has ever seen, and a horrible defense, both coming from a defensive minded HC with no feel for the game 😮💨
A few punts here and there (instead of going for it on 4th down in your own territory with a horrible defense), and a few well placed field goals (taking the points you can get rather than leaving so many points on the field, only to lose games by a fewer amount of points you could've had in FG tries), and the narrative surrounding Herbert's name would be completely different.
Chicago ⬆️ Bear⬇️
Rome is about to be that dude
bo nix very well could win rookie of the year just cause of his play style and sean payton.
As a bears fan, im double glad falcons took penix. I rather vikings get McCarthy and that pick gave the bears, odunze too. Falcons killed 2 birds with one stone for the Bears
The problem is Penix is already 24 .
“Throw a WR Open” is the biggest myth in football.
That's a nice giant desk
Colin, it's Rome Uh-DUNE-zay
Heard Washington fans say Polk was better than Rome.
Just playin I’m a pats fan so I’m just hoping he will be lol. I like Rome a lot he’s a great dude with a great attitude. Hopefully Caleb lives up to the hype and just won’t be a normal #1 bust like usual. Personally I don’t trust Caleb but he might prove me wrong
Jaylen made some insane catches and he filled in for McMillan (the #2 wr) perfectly. He has hands for days. It's just his route running needs to be polished buts he still balls out.
Teams reaching Krazy for QBs
Love Oduuuuunze!
Can Collin pronounce his damn name right for once
Theyre missing the point on the Cousins/Penix situation. Its not that they drafted Penix, its all the $$$$$$$$$$ they gave Cousins, when they couldve traded a 5th for Fields, and had him and Penix battle it out.
The problem is you “passed” on rome…. Like green bay passed on higgins and pitman….. think about the superbowls greenbay would have if they had highins
I think it was smart also for the Falcons to take Penix. It’s not like they were away from winning in the Super Bowl if they took someone else.😂
Acting like the Falcons roster, specifically the defense is built to go deep in the playoffs.
Colin: Purdy can't throw the deep ball.
Reality: Purdy was one of the better deep ball passers last year.
@spearofconquest Actually, it generally means just that. People need to stop making stuff up. Most times he's leading a receiver down the field.
Purdy is not a great deep ball threat. He is mediocre at best throwing deep. (to guys that are wide open and he has a clean pocket)
@@paulmartin2348 He led the league in deep balls well into the season. You can spin it however you want but he's an accurate deep ball passer.
Denial runs deep though.
Terrible analysis. Penix isn’t the issue. It’s paying Kirk to be a B QB is the issue.
100%
@@VerbalDecuir33 so Baker is paid the same as Kirk ?
colin saying penix throws a better deep ball then kirk is wild!!!! lets me know he doesnt watch football
TJ could be mini me for the great khali for Halloween….😂😂😂
Gotta hand it to the bears man, they said if Caleb doesnt work out it’s on him lol
We won't be a wild card team "we taking the north and never giving it back" 🐻
You yhe best 👌
Love tj
Michael is already 24yrs old can’t wait to long to get him in, wasn’t a smart move if Kirk stays healthy bc besides the achilles injury Kirk is made out of steel hasn’t missed a game since his sophomore year at Michigan State. Colin says nxt yr is a bad QB yr then changes his mind once 3 of them get hyped up just watch
All CHICAGO BEARS FANS ARE HOPING FOR IS. THAT CALEB WILLIAMS DOES NOT TURN OUT LIKE FORMER STANDOUT COLLEGE USC QBS'. GREAT IN COLLEGE, BUSTS IN NFL.
GET THE YOUNG MAN SO OFFENSIVE LINEMAN.
AND A COUPLE ON THE DEFENSE LINE. AND THE BEAR SHOULD BE OKAY.
I hope ppl aren’t shocked and try to slight Caleb if they aren’t quiet as good as ppl want to believe first yr in. I do think he’ll live up to the hype. But all this “they’re gonna win 10 game” from nick wright and some others is kinda crazy to me. They all swear CJ stroud situation is just easy to recreate but if it was every time would do it lol. I like everything the bears did i just think ppl need to slow down.
All these upgrades and won 7 last year …..3 more win’s doesn’t seem a stretch at all to me …. we will see 🐻🔽
Oregon State beavers baller in the house baby
C'mon best WR draft? Better than Julio and A.J Green draft?
Playoffs?,,,,, PLAYOFFS?,,,,, gotta win in the division first!....
Penix will be starting before the 2024 season is over.
“Purdy isn’t really a downfield thrower.”
My guy literally led the league in down field passing and mid field passing, including accuracy / efficiency.
Cringe
The audio sucks
I wouldn't be surprised if Minnesota won the Superbowl in JJ McCarthy's rookie season.
I like JJ … Chicago guy won a state title at Nazareth Academy. NFC north going to be a dogfight… probably best division in league… but it’s Bears time 🐻🔽
@@kevinruff1451 No sir. Caleb couldn't even win a PAC 12 championship in college. Every Heisman winning QB except for Roger Staubach has been a bust in the NFL. That's not gonna change with Caleb or Jayden.
I think the bears will challenge the packers for 2nd in division and thats coming from a lions fan
Division going to be a dogfight… i think Lions will challenge Packers for 2 nd 🤷🏻♂️😊 …. but not writing Vikings off either 🐻🔽
Why is Colin sitting 2 feet above TJ while behind a monolith. Looks weird
Throwing up, don’t mean nothing always talking about who throws the ball😂😂😂😂
I hate hearing this as a packers fan lol. I’m glad the dude is good though.
Stupid decision to draft penix.. watched plenty of people say they talked to multiple GM's and all of them said they were shocked and dumfounded
Marvin will eat that dude up😂😂😂😂
Tj🔥
CLeb Williams is little he’s not 6”1. Should be worried about him taking a big hit
Tj is smart but today he makes alot of dumb statements ,the reason they shouldn't draft penix his because he is 24 almost 25 years old by the time he starts he'll be 27 years old makes no sense, he's ready to go now
