Being from Los Angeles, CA and born in 1951, gave me the best opportunity imaginable to experience classic cars, the best music ever recorded, and the possibly the best women ever made. Thanks to RUclips it is possible to relive these moments again and again! Thank you David Garfield for sharing your incredible skills as a musician, and for taking the time to edit and post these amazing and historic musical moments. Hats off to Steve Lukather for sharing his life in his recent book, The Gospel According to Luke, this book gave me another opportunity to remember and thank all of those gifted musicians for both working hard to develop their skills as players, and never giving up trying to get contracts to record and publish the best music music heard around our sacred world.
I wish I could’ve seen Los Lobotomies with Jeff, but was fortunate to see them in ‘94? at the Palamino in N Hollywood with Simon on Drums. Amazing might of music ❤❤
Hi David. My name is Kelly. I am Carlos' nephew. I met you a few times at my uncle's house. Thank you for posting all these videos of you guys playing together. I may be geeking out on your channel for the next few days or so! I knew Lenny played drums but didn't know there was video of it. Very cool!!!
Fantastic!!!! RIP Carlos Vega & Jeff Porcaro Los Lobotomys besides Karizma my alltime favorite Fusion Band. Thanks Creatchy....please reconnect with Luke again....

I saw a Los Lobotomy show at the Palomino. Damn good show, Simon Philips on drums, the bass Player was the bassist for the kids TV show Roundhouse, I think was the name. Last name Pena? Luke was on fire with the banter, one of the funniest I have seen him. Plus his playing, always good. Opening band was Billy Mumy's band, had Miguel Ferrer in it, plus the guy from Welcome Back Kotter(?).
Amazing footage of a classic tune - many thanks for the upload! David, what was your keyboard setup at the time, if I may ask? I assume you had a KX88 master keyboard on the bottom tier of your stand, triggering an MKS20? DX7, too? What keyboard did you have on top?
