  • Welcome to our TechTalk series, where we'll show you how to supercharge your video streaming experience using the incredible capabilities of Raspberry Pi. In this episode, we bring you the ultimate setup guide for Restreamer and Speedify on Raspberry Pi. Discover the power of multi-network bonding and multi-destination streaming, unlocking seamless and reliable streaming potential. Whether you're a content creator, live streamer, or just eager to share your adventures with the world, this all-in-one solution will elevate your streaming game. Don't miss out on this cutting-edge setup!
In our previous videos, we covered the detailed installation and setup of Raspberry Pi and Restreamer separately. Now, we take it a step further by integrating both technologies into one seamless streaming solution. Whether you're a content creator, live streamer, or simply passionate about sharing your adventures with the world, this guide is for you.
To get started, make sure you have a Raspberry Pi board with Raspbian or a compatible operating system installed. If you haven't set up your Raspberry Pi yet, don't worry! Check out our previous video for a step-by-step guide and find all the necessary download links and instructions in the video description.
Next, install Restreamer by visiting the official website or our previous video guide. Follow the instructions carefully to set up Restreamer on your Raspberry Pi. Similarly, for Speedify, refer to our previous video guide for detailed instructions. Once both Restreamer and Speedify are up and running, your Raspberry Pi is now fully equipped for the ultimate streaming setup.
Remember, the actual setup steps may vary depending on specific versions and configurations, so visit the official Restreamer and Speedify websites or repositories in case of any issues.
Now, let's get started with the demonstration! After booting up your Raspberry Pi, access the Restreamer dashboard by entering the IP address followed by ":8080" in your web browser. This user-friendly dashboard allows you to manage and configure Restreamer easily.
For distribution, connect the Raspberry Pi's Ethernet port to a network switch. This expands your streaming capabilities, allowing multiple devices, such as encoders, to share the same network for seamless communication.
With the setup in place, open OBS (Open Broadcaster Software) and start streaming to your Restreamer on Raspberry Pi. Ensure that you have updated the RTMP streaming URL of the Restreamer for smooth streaming.
The best part is that Restreamer allows you to simultaneously send the live stream to multiple social media networks and custom stream servers. This enhances your reach and maximizes your streaming potential.

How about using the Orange Pi 5 Plus with:
    -Belabox: as the encoder
-2x Waveshare 5G DONGLE Module, quad antennas: for great connection per sim
    -Speedify: to combine the sim-cards
-Restream: to add overlays & publish on several platforms
With this you wouldn’t need an external encoder.
What do you think about it?

I haven’t tried Belabox yet, but surely an interesting project to work on. But all on one Orange Pi make me think about redundancy and performance.

What is the cpu usage when both the bonding and restreaming is happening .

    • @gadgetspod
      @gadgetspod  Год назад

25-35% . Ensure that you restream with the Video Passthrough option enabled to save unnecessary resources on reencoding. Restreamer receives the encoded feed directly from the hardware or software encoder, which sends the audio/video signals. By utilizing Video Passthrough, you bypass reencoding and preserve the original quality, optimizing your streaming process efficiently.
