I played this game a little bit myself, but it's actually somewhat scary. Mainly because the rake literally appears out of anywhere and his screech is so loud it plays throughout the entire city you live in and then some (plus the remade music when it's daytime is so amazing, especially it transitioning to nighttime)

tips if you are going to play the rake another time: remember, never make noise. thats why the rake chased after you when you took out the map. also, the safehouse door doesn't hold forever, thats why the person was opening it. lights attract the rake as well. the rake can insta kill you if it attacks you from behind, so make sure to look around you every few seconds. the rake has 20 walkspeed when passive. he has 30 walkspeed when chasing after a player. your average player walked speed is 16, when you run its 35. you can outrun the rake, but stamina isn't forever. the rake also goes after the player with the most HP. if you are downed, crawl away from the action. every few seconds, you MUST look behind you. you never know when the rake can sneak up on you and insta kill you. if he is creeping up on you to insta you, and you look at him, he goes into chase mode. your welcome for the tips and hope you find this helpful!!! :d
Another tip is when no action is happening in the server, there's a high chance that the Rake is following you.
The rake does not hear, that is hard af yo script, he slowly follows te nearest Player around, walking in zig zag, until you are at his range.
He can Sneak behind you, Look behind You frequently.
He can also see inside the safe house so stick to the corner.

everybody says light attracts the rake but thats a big false in my book
tips for new players: if you find the safe house, don't just shut the door. It will only hold for so long, so close it when the rake is near. Don't open the lights or it will waste power. get the radio to communicate if you have to. The rake's passive walkspeed is about 20 (i think), and is 30 when provoked. And i think you run 35. So you can outrun the rake, but you might run out of stamina. The rake goes for the player with the highest health, so if you are damaged while another player isn't, book it and let him die. Get the tracker, it's op. (but has a very short range so beware of that)

Truly the remaster is incredible. It was very simple to figure out if the rake is near you through a radius but how the devs added a sneaking mechanic for the rake is amazing. It adds that neat effect and it makes you want to constantly check your back if there's anything. You can't even hide around in the corner of the map either, it's incredible.
Wait how do you know where the rake is and how do you survive it? I have been dying in remastered a lot and would love some advice lol
@@marstheknife7396 From what I know, the only way to know if the Rake is near you or stalking you is listening for rustling nearby, footsteps, or its glowing white eyes. You can also use the tracker too to at least have a guess as to where it is.
Only real way to survive the Rake is to run as far as you can and break line of sight. Your faster then it, but you have limited stamina.
As someone else said, if theres little action going on in the server, its highly likely its following you.
He really used that sneaking technique behind my team mates and I got scared
I hate how flashlights are useless tho, I turn em on and I see nothing for like 99% of the map.

I’ve never played the rake but I always hear about it, it looks like a pretty cool horror game.
I played the old version, was pretty dope, now the new version is way more scarier, considering you can't see 3 feet Infront of you, and light and loud noises attracts it so you gotta walk in the dark

Tips about the remaster
In the safe house, keep your lights off as the rake can see you and break in, also if you start hearing sniffing noises in the safe house, stop moving or else the rake will hear you and break in.
When running away from the rake, don't look back and turn your lights off, the rake won't follow you anymore if you run far enough.
If you are in a group inside of the safe house, it's always the best to die/get downed first or second as the rake will be to busy killing the other people instead of finishing you off.
You'll just barely be able to get out of his line of sight when u have full stamina running away from the rake
And u gotta run the opposite direction of the rake when being pursued

He does not follow Sounds or light, he follows the nearest Player walking in zig zag.
Thats hard to script
The Rake will sneak behind you without triggering the music if you do not look behind your back, and if he catches you while in this sneak state, he on shots you. You should look behind you every 2-3 seconds to not get epik one shotted.

If u don't know the rake will sneak on u after he chased u. He will make no sounds and his eyes won't glowing when sneaking. So always watch ur back every 1-2 second since he's pretty fast when sneaking. He will also go to power plant if someone tried to fix it. He will also directly go to flare gun sound source. He also prioritize high health player so when ur down he will chase someone else that's healthy. He also has a chance to trigger a blood hour by itself with 3% chance when failed chasing someone. So moving in a group is great since u have more percentage to survive even if u became a meat shield. The rake can also sneak no matter ur in group, even if others look at his eyes he will still be on sneaky mode until the person that he's sneaking on died or look at him. And he will also stalk u before sneaking to u. Try to listened to his sniffing sound since he will sniff when sneaking. If ur moving in a group then tell ur group to move to the tower since even if u downed someone else will run and got chased.

the reason you survived the rake attack on the safe house is….
The rake tries to down everybody, then kill. If you are alone, he just kills you. If you’re in a group, split up so if one person gets downed the others dont. Being downed is awful because if people leave you, the AI decides to kill you.
K I actually know that I survived 20 times in a safe house well long story I was in a group of players and I found a safe house there so we went to check it out then some teammates were missing there because they wanted to get out so I followed him so then I got knocked down and some of my teammates were in the house and they healed me so then we did it again but we survived in their so yea that's the story how we survived

The Safehouse and the Observation Tower in the Rake remastered is a "Death Trap"
Honestly the safehouse is pretty ok, you just need to listen for when the rake jumps on the roof and *sprint* the hell out of there. Though the observation tower is just immediate death
You can survive the safe house, But as for the observation tower, Your best option is to just not go up there as a whole, unless you successfully juke the rake and climb down the ladder safely running away, which the chances are pretty slim, I've died atleast 50 times now since I've played this game and chose to go up the observation tower.
just go on the railing right behind the ladder and the rake's ai is just going make it run and fall down the ladder over and over again, i've seen someone did this once. Tho you will have to listen to the chase music the entire night, but it's a worthy sacrifice for everyone else.
@@Midwayy10 When the rake starts climbing up, jump off and run. You will lose a ton of health but you will survive. (from experience)

which stuns you disabling you from running or doing anything
the rake will then target you then kill you

Bro im never scared by any jump scares usually because theyre predictable. But the rake remastered has taught me that I am terrified of this game. There is an ambient noise when he is close and that ambience is TERRIFYING OK? And to see other people who dont get scared easily get jump scared is amazing to watch.

Tip: always watch your back cause the rake can stroll behind you in stealth mode without letting you know hes behind you. Tip 2: The Rake Always targets the people who have more health than the other people who are downed/injured.
