(28:56) (O Prophet), you cannot grant guidance to whom you please. It is Allah Who guides those whom He will. He knows best who are amenable to guidance. So lets ask Allah to give him hidayah. Dear they are devoted muslims. I myself am an average muslim. I am very bad in 5 time praying. I know the time i started or God gave me the will to pray five times a day i will have the discipline to achieve so much. Then there is Fasting, no outside marriage sex, no drugs, alcohol etc. These all makes a person mentally and physically strong. No doubt a recipie for a great fighter!

As a Muslim, I would not go to the extent to say the Muslim fighters are dominating. But I believe in future this is going to happen. Historically Muslims have been dominant fighters, I hope this gets reflected in modern combat sports as well.
Man, I respect Islam, its philosophy and history. However, It does not seems for me fair to say that Muslims, or Christians or Pagans were dominant fighters. It was never about the fighters religion, but mentality, training, war cultur of the specific state or people and etc. Mongols were not Muslims before they conquered the world, neither huns, neither persians, neither Hoplits, neither Romans, neither Brits and so on. Again, big respect for Islam, but I don't find it as a reason for being dominating fighter, even on a massive numbers.

Dear they are devoted muslims. I myself am an average muslim. I am very bad in 5 time praying. I know the time i started or God gave me the will to pray five times a day i will have the discipline to achieve so much. Then there is Fasting, no outside marriage sex, no drugs, alcohol etc. These all makes a person mentally and physically strong. No doubt a recipie for a great fighter!

As a Muslim, I would not go to the extent to say the Muslim fighters are dominating. But I believe in future this is going to happen. Historically Muslims have been dominant fighters, I hope this gets reflected in modern combat sports as well.
Man, I respect Islam, its philosophy and history. However, It does not seems for me fair to say that Muslims, or Christians or Pagans were dominant fighters. It was never about the fighters religion, but mentality, training, war cultur of the specific state or people and etc. Mongols were not Muslims before they conquered the world, neither huns, neither persians, neither Hoplits, neither Romans, neither Brits and so on. Again, big respect for Islam, but I don't find it as a reason for being dominating fighter, even on a massive numbers.

Dagestan and Chechnya together is abt 0.3% of Muslim world population, but representation in mma is 80%. Representation is wrestling is even higher, as most of them are "hired" by other nations to represent their flags. Last Olympics Dagestanis represented 11 countries. Among the greatest wrestlers ever are a Chechen, Saitiev, and a Dagestani, Sadullaev. In Mma, obviously Khabib, Islam, Ankalaev, Zabit, and many others. Even in boxing, Chechen Biterbiev.
Thus this is also something to do with the region itself, not only religion. Modern day Sparta. In Quran, it says "tribes and nations" "so that you learn from each other". Some nations are good at one thing, others are in other things. Thus, I wouldn't count it as solely Muslim success in Combat sport, even tho, of course there many great Muslim atheltes from around the world. Still, 3 mln Dagestan have more champions and contenders than Pakistan, Indonesia, Turkey, and all Arab countries all together. I'm not a Dagestani, we have to give them props, it is extraordinary.
That being said, Muslims always associate their success with Muslim success, but nobody ever talks that Dagestan and Chechnya are under occupation. Tortures, people are rotten in prisons for the beliefs, genocides. But I never see Muslims say anything abt it. Their situation is no better than Palestine, or Uighurs. But noone cares

Brother do no be pessimistic. Many muslims paid the price of joining the Caucasus wars in 90s and 2000s against Soviets and Russia. My kickboxing trainer in algeria went to Bosnia and Chechenia and had to go through a lot, being labeled a criminal and having his civil freedoms taken away from him.
