Carol and Lydia sharing this catharsis moment was touching. Amazing cinematography with Alpha's mask falling amongst the freefalling horde great symbolism to conclude the Whisperer arc
That’s what I was going to say, the mask falling was one of the most beautiful shots in the show.
Of the entire crew, I feel they had suffered the most. And Carol had saved Lydia from killing herself during that winter, and Lydia saved Carol from a sacrifice she didn’t need to do. So well done.
All of S10 has been has been symbolic. They've done this season way better than most in the past.

@SuperMarioTrevor this was the season 10 finale then it was announced twd would be ending on the 11th season so them made season 10 a c story and same with season 11 so yes this isn't the finale for season 10 it was at first before more episodes were filmed and added to the season
TWD gets an A+ for music again. This show seriously has the best soundtracks for every episode
I could watch this clip several times over just to listen to the music that plays as the walkers go over. It is such a beautiful piece
Carol has experienced so much pain especially in terms of losing her children (Sophia and Henry). I really do hope that Lydia won't suffer the same fate and will always be with Carol.
Not to mention Lizzie and Mika who she also saw as her daughters

These three minutes were probably why they had to delay the finale so long and I am glad they did. This was an amazing ending to the arc!
It is why they had to delay but they could’ve aired it months earlier. The long cliff hangar took tension away from this scene.
One thing that crossed my mind with this acene is how every single one of those walkers was once someone's family and they were all a person once.
Wow, deep! And here, I was just thinking: " thank God zombies are stupid!"

Nah honestly tho, sometimes I forget that the walkers were once human too. Hell sometimes I think that some of the walkers we see after the time skip in season 9 were probably still alive during the time Rick was still with everyone.
And just think one of them probably use to be a serial killer or a child rapist

I cried so hard at Carol finally being able to allow herself to love Lydia and Lydia's absolute compassion and love for Carol despite being rebuffed. Carol suffered soooo many losses throughout her life. What it took for her to finally love Lydia (I loved Lydia from DAY ONE) took an enormous amount of trust, faith and bravery. This show and it's character development!!!
Does Carol love Lydia still? I saw the last chapter of season 11 I didn't see that
I swear I was beginning to cry for Carol, I really thought this was the end for her
I can see this being one of the scenes that required a LOT of post production...
Apart from having an amazing score to accompany this staggering, emotional end to the whisperer war, this was also the moment that got me understanding why they will end the series after season 11. If the human survivors can do this to the walkers, having learned the whisperer methods without embracing their philosophy, it means that the walker herds no longer hold any threat level to the communities. They are now ready to rebuild a civilization that is not afraid of the walker menace but merely sees it as what it has always been... the scenery rather than the antagonist.
the whisperer war was as close to perfect as possible. just when everyone thought walkers weren't the threat anymore, alpha and beta come along to show the coalition they were dead wrong
This is so beautiful! What great acting by Melissa and Cassady! The music was beautiful as with any of the number of soundtracks throughout. That close up of them and seeing Carol so emotional makes this all the more powerful. Them holding each other like that, it was all so perfect!
Carols been mama bear to everyone and lost her faith because she's lost so many people. It's great to see her get her edge back
A beautiful scene with beautiful music. Alexandria never again need fear an approaching herd. They can just lead them away - Lydia can teach them. Although, just imagine some other survivor fishing at the base of that cliff when suddenly 10,000 walkers come raining down.

When I first watched this season you don’t know how scared I was cause comic carol died committing suicide by walker.
I felt so relieved when Lydia came back for her.

Captain Swagma I loved this episode too, but I have a really unpopular opinion, I think that 10x4, silence the whisperers is the best of this season. The Walking Dead sure has been saved by Angela Kang and her imagination

That music was damn spot on had me on the edge, unfortunately i think it could have been even better if we had not known of the daryl and carol spin-off, could've added to the suspense.

Haven’t seen season 11 yet after taking break from TWD for a couple years. This scene was one of the best scenes from the show period, the music really helped make it as well.
2:26. That is epic moment for it symbolizing the total End of the Whisperers and their ideology and legacy, permanently.

Wow just wow. Words fall me really. Probably one of the most emotive and melancholic scenes in the history of TV. I know a lot of people checked out of the walking dead after series 7 but they missed out because that was absolutely fantastic TV.

@Mon Desire Not for me! Only 2 great scenes. Lydia and Carol (wonderful moment) and the end of Beta. But unfortunately there was no fight between Beta and Daryl Negan. No main character died and Maggie's return was known and boring

I have got to get caught up with season 10 since I lost cable I have lost all the the rest of the seasons the past year. I hate it. But this scene is just so beautiful and the music I love.
Season 10 all around is super underrated and overhated. Back when it came out a lot of people didn’t like it. I think it’s a much better season than 11 was. The themes, performances, soundtrack, and character arcs are some of the best in the series.
Best way to end a horde, hook the speakers to the edge of the cliff and blast loud music and watch them fall to their deaths.
That was their plan until The Whisperers caught up to their sound system and destroyed it.
