my search to find this video was "haunted mansion dad there it is" xD xD xD xD
They were acting like parrots at the end :-)
The Singing Busts were easily my favorite part of this movie.

In the world of the Haunted Mansion movie, I like to imagine these guys were the best of friends when they were alive. Seriously, they are literally spending their after-lives singing improv songs and not caring about anything. Adding that they're just trolling anyone who comes across them? I want some friends like that. XD
At least your afterlife wouldn't be boring . Lol
Honestly if I was cursed to remain on earth, singing with my buddies and trolling people with our singing for all time is hands down what I would do.
Yeah, me too. Now that I think about it, at the end of the movie, they do not go into the light. They would much rather stay on Earth together and be with their new mortal pals. I would love to see Disney do a spin-off series set before the Mansion became haunted with all the ghosts as alive people.
@@sampeacaml9307 like that "then there were none" movie where one by one they get murdered but instead of one murderer its over a period of time and each death adds a ghost to the house, in fact you could make it into a tv show where each episode is certered around one ghost and their death, and then as the series progresses we see the ghosts do their ghost stuff.
"I gotta help my wife, she'll..." "be coming round the mountain when she comes" my favourite one!
Charlotte Meads my favorite part

Four singing heads bringing a little light to a depressing graveyard.
.....rest their souls...er... busts!!!
Well they they're coming out to socialize, after all.
I imagine after 300 years in the same graveyard this probably gets annoying
depressing? is full of ghosts just goofing around doing whatever
"I stepped in a 1950s cartoon sound effect!"

"And as is most bad adaptations, they take one of the coolest parts of the original source and easily make it the most annoying part of the entire movie."

At least its 1950's, I stepped in a 1920's cowpie and still trying to wipe that off!
Hey, I love this movie and the Nostalgia Critic has turned into a jerk even out of character
I remember i used to repeat this scene 100 times and sing with them xD
How can you NOT? xD
It's irresistible xD
Madao let's just say Hasegawa, that those statues really crack me up when they sing
"Dad there it issssss!"
"Daaad there it isssss!"
😂😂😂 that part is hilarious.
Sparrow best part 😂😂
Yaaaas
Agreed
The fact I watched this over a decade ago and can still quote it perfectly is a testiment to this underrated movie!
This is my favorite scene of the movie, from the reference to the Haunted Mansion's actual song and barbershop acapella (one of my musical weaknesses). The best part about barbershop acapella is that it will always have that vintage classical feeling no matter what era.
My grandfather and uncle both were in a barbershop chorus. I've always had a soft spot for barbershop music!
The dapper dans!
Lmao omg
Thnx I was looking for that name
Well if you want the lyrics for the ACTUAL SONG, then here it is.
When the crypt doors creak And the tombstones quake Spooks come out for a singing wake Happy haunts materialize And begin to vocalize Grim grinning ghosts come out to socialize
Now don't close your eyes And don't try to hide Or a silly spook may sit by your side Shrouded in a daft disguise They pretend to terrorize Grim grinning ghosts come out to socialize
As the moon climbs high o'er dead oak tree Spooks arrive for the midnight spree Creepy creeps with eerie eyes Start to shriek and harmonize Grim grinning ghosts come out socialize
When you hear the knell of a requiem bell Weird glows gleam where spirits dwell Restles bones etherealize Rise as spooks of every size
If you would like to join our jamboree,
There's a simple rule that's compulsory. Mortals pay a token fee.
Rest in peace, the haunting's free.
So hurry back, we would like your company.
Love it!!! ^^
Thank you. 😄
Thank you

0:10 Hey kids, watch your step.
Best part of the movie. I could listen to an entire album by this group lol, brilliant harmonies
I always laugh the hardest at the scenes with the statues in it! :D Love this movie, but this part is epic in itself.
Oh man, this scene always makes me laugh because they're just totally random. I've watched this over a billion times :-)
Ah the nostalgia. I remember watching this all the time before bed when I was 7.
This is the BEST part. I like watching older movies to look at the details, like the sound affects, what did they step in. If it was mud it sounds like a spongy muddy puddle type thing. Oh old movies.😆
Old movies? This came out 12 years ago:
StarWarsROTJ1983 He said older movies, not old movies.
Older is relative, if you're talking about movies made in the last 5 years, then yes, this is a much older movie.
This was always my favorite scene 😂
Musically and comically it was amazing.
one does not simply interrupt the quartet of busts
This scene still gives me a big smile
Where's the key bit killed me and my best friend in 8th grade we made a big deal out of it
Childhood rocks
I want the singing busts at my home :D
Me too! They'd always cheer me up on a bad day.

Ratchet the Rat96 The correct answer is "Thank you God!"
Can't believe this movie is almost 20 years old already! Man, where did the time go?! The busts will always be my favorite characters besides Madame Leota!
I too can’t believe this is almost 20 years old. And next year, we’ll get a new Haunted Mansion.
@@ryanstauffer119 The new Haunted Mansion can't hold a candle to this.
@@Aurochhunter I thought both movies did something better than the other. For example, the Hatbox Ghost was a better villain than Ramsley. And Jaime Lee Curtis was a better Madame Leota. However, I was disappointed they didn't have the singing busts in that one even though they still include the song. And even though they recycle the idea of Master Gracey depressed over losing his bride and wants her back, the 2003 movie did it better. In that film, we felt Edwards grief. We saw the love he and Elizabeth truly had for each other. Especially in the end when they're reunited. And having him being the man that is hanged like in the ride was better than William dying from poison in the new one. I get they have to do new stuff for a new adaptation, but the 2003 version of Gracey was better. And even though the library had all those busts, we never saw them staring at the characters like how the 2003 film had the two stare at Jim Evers as he walked down he hallway. I do also like how the new movie mentions how there are 999 souls and they use the idea from the comics that 1,000 is needed for the villain. I do like the 2003 film a bit more, but I do appreciate the amount of stuff that was put into both adaptations. And since a sequel is in development for the newer film, I would like them to use more stuff from the ride. People are saying that a Phantom Manor film would be great and I agree, especially since that Fanscription video from Channel Awesome had a good plot idea for it. Funny enough, the new Haunted Mansion movie does have a few elements from that video idea which makes me wonder if Disney stole them.
The heads are SO hilarious! As a musician, nothing makes me feel better than using music for comic effect! SO COOL!!!
Did you know Disneyland's the dapper dans plays the busts
That would explain a lot! XD
Magic3Star yes it would
they were Disney World's Dapper Dan's, not Disneyland's. They did a real good job with it though.
@@alanthierseorn Otherwise known as Cadaver Dans when associated with the Haunted Mansion within the theme parks.
It's only in disney world and busts is the stone heads, the song is Grim Grinning Ghosts
Those singing busts are why Haunted Mansion is one of my favorite movies of all time! They crack me up every time I watch it!
Them harmonies though
Definitely at the part where they sing by the light.
if i watch this once, I watch it a dozen times in a binge
Sadly this was the best part of the movie
Austin Trench how is it sadly? This scene is hilarious!!!!
Because the rest of this movie was terrible
Zachary Evans I loved this movie. But the last time I saw was like when I was 6
yeah thats how nostalgia works. its nice that you enjoy what i can't

The singing about the key is utterly hilarious. 😂😂
Imagine when they went away the busts were like "I thought they would never go. Okay, where were we?" and kept singing as before.

Crap they stepped in old school cartoon sounds!
Kids will do whatever they saw what adults do.
I hate that sound actually.
The statues busts singing is ALWAYS my favorite part of the movie. Them singing is so damn pretty. I just wish I had full versions of them singing all those songs.
The "down in Dixie" really solidifies this Barbershop cameo
these scene gets stuck in my head at least once a month
Have this in vhs and now it was in disney + epic memories
Fun Fact: The busts are voiced by THE barbershop quartet of Disneyland (or WDW, I don't quite remember). They are called the Dapper Dans.
'yea is by the...by the light by the light by the light of the salury moon of the salury moon' that my favorite
"Daaaaaaaaaad there iiiiiiiiiiiiiit iiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiis."
LOL!
I’d take these guys home in a heartbeat
I’d use them as my own personal singing teachers and master harmonies.
Then I’d get drunk and show them modern stuff.
To quote Slappy Squirrel: "Well, that was pointless."
NOW THAT'S COMEDY
Princess Fiona (Shrek): Man, that was annoying!
Dr. Scratchensniff: Stop playing with my bust!
Yakko: *looks at the camera amd kisses* Goodnight everybody!
HenryvKeiper that was the best part of the ride and for them to screw it up that bad is terrible
Still one of the better parts of this movie
These guys are lucky to have eachother in the after life, that itself makes me happy.
These Busts are hilarious! They're like someone who when asked for help they say "Sure! We'll help you!" and then doesn't help at all or says something like a smartass. I'd die laughing and then they'd have to put *me* in the mausoleum!
This is just hilarious. I love this scene. I even laughed. 😂😂
Dad there it iiiiiiiiisssssssssss
thanks for nothin
The singing busts are my favorite part of this movie.
Even after so long, this scene still makes me laugh.
The bust on the far right has the face of Thurl Ravenscroft, who actually is a bust on the ride (face and voice). The one right next to him has the face of Paul Frees (voice of the Ghost Host). Originally, the other two were going to look like Marc Davis (Disney animator,co-designer of the Mansion) and Blaine Gibson (animator, sculptor, also worked on the Mansion)
The ride that inspired this is a masterpiece.
I always loved Master Edward Gracey! He's the handsomest ghost of all the 999 Happy Haunts! I love him!
- Where's the key, where's the key, where's the beautiful key? Find the key, find the key; oh, how happy you'll be!

I love this!!! Thanks for posting!
Here are the lyrics for the song
M this thing never works
Oh, when the crypt doors creek and the tombstones quake
Spooks come out for a swinging wake
Happy haunts, materialize
And begin to vocalize
Grim Grinning Ghosts, come out to socialize
When the moon climes high on the dead oak tree
Spooks are awake for the midnight spree
Creepy creeps with eerie eyes
Start to shriek and harmonize
Grim Grinning Ghosts, come out to-to-to socialize
Now don't, close your eyes and don't try to hide
For a silly spook may sit by your side
Shrouded in the daft disguise
They pretend to terrorize
Grim Grinning Ghosts, come out to socialize
Well, the ghouls begin to shed there skin
And demons shake their bones
A banshee sails into the night
And sing their frieghtful tone
A-when you hear the knell of a requiem bell
Weird glows gleam where spirits dwell
Restless bones etherealize
Raise of spooks of every size
Grim Grinning Ghosts
Grim Grinning Ghosts come out to socialize
When the crypt doors creek and the tombstones quake
(Ahhhh!)
Grim grinning ghosts come out to socialize
(Mwhahahahaha!)
1:29 walt disney
Thurl Ravenscroft actually.
Right on
It’s not actually Walt Disney, it just looks like him. This movie came out many years after Walt passed away.
Caden Chin that bust is also supposed to resemble the actual bust in the ride that also looked a little bit like Walt Disney

0:10 I stepped in a 40's cartoon sound effect.

This is my favorite part of the entire movie!
Does anyone else feel like singing Billy Joel’s “ For the Longest Time” with them or is that just me? I actually want to do that if I could.

I like the movie for few things: The Victorian opening, the beautiful painting of Elizabeth, Nathaniel Parker (and him in the bloopers of this movie: You are my life, my world, my cheeseburger!) and the singing heads.
0:42, this snatch of the song is the best scene in the entire movie.
I don't remember the Huanted Mansion being Disney at all! But this scene is super funny! "Now he's broke dead and cursed. Nice move." That line kills me and I break up laughing.
Me too😂
This clip turned me to the song "By the Light if the Silvery Moon." Thanks, that's a great song!
I love how in the teaser trailer they sing "Coooom - ing soooon! Coming soon!”
From what I remember there was a TV commercial when they sang "Now Playing".
Wait they did that?

The singing heads were always my favorite of this movie! I used to watch this movie 24/7 to where I would annoy my mom 😂 but my mom didn’t get to use her laptop much because I was always watching this movie on her laptop. After watching it like 4 times before falling asleep I would wake up and I wouldn’t know how many times the movie repeated itself because it was on repeat. But I remember growing up always watching this movie over and over and always replaying the singing head parts and singing with them
I fucking love this moment xD
