You say that the Ravens need the chiefs to make mistakes, but the Texans allowed zero sacks and had zero turnovers and never made it past our 28 yard line.
The Chiefs have a better QB and better offensive play caller in Andy Reid. Travis Kelce is better than anyone Houston has.
The last time the chiefs and Texans were similar, the chiefs were based out of Dallas and it was like 1960something
Yea, I think it's the other way around. The Ravens are a deeper, better team who can win a high-scoring or low-scoring game. What they probably can't do is win a game where they beat themselves with negative plays and turnovers.

As A Die Hard Jags fan, I can say this ... The Ravens are a well built team, K C played two teams in Miami and Buffalo who were beat up with some starters out and many backups playing, that wont be the case in Baltimore, Ravens have too many Studs on both sides of the ball to deal with ... This is where the Chiefs run ends ... Calling it rite now ...

Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs are 7-0 against #1 defenses. He is also 3-1 against Lamar Jackson, with the lone loss coming when CEH fumbled after Mahomes led them in range to kick the game winning field goal early in 2021.
I'm not saying the Chiefs will definitely win, I'm just saying they have a better chance than you probably think they do. It's the reason the line is only 3 points.
the Chiefs sole playoff losses have come against good defenses, and the Chiefs offense is much weaker this year. I would also put zero stock into past matchups. both teams are very different (Ravens are much better, Chiefs worse)

@@hamsandwich123 In one of those games, the Chiefs put up 31 against NE and the other one Mahomes had the worst half of his playoff career after putting up 21 in the first half. If you want to count the SB as well, he was playing with a garbage O line and had his WR drop at least 2 TDs. The O Line is still good, their D is the best they've been since Mahomes took over and he still has 2 legit weapons in Kelce and Rice.
@@CQuick30 I don't disagree, and I think the line is pretty reasonable, but there's this narrative going around that is acting like the Chiefs are an unstoppable juggernaut and you can't bet against Mahomes. they have lost to great defenses multiple times in the playoffs and I'm not convinced the Chiefs have suddenly figured out their offensive struggles after moving on the depleted Bills D.

PFF_Sam is right about Mahomes beating up on the Fins and Bills injury-ridden defenses. BUT remember how many sacks the 'vaunted', 4 d-linemen with double digit sacks, most total sacks in the NFL, and in retrospect over-hyped Eagles defense got against the Chiefs in Super Bowl LVII. For those who didn't watch the Super Bowl, that number was zero as in zero sacks on Mahomes. It's still going to be a tough game for the Chiefs because of Lamar Jackson's unique threats and if Willie Gay and Mike Edwards (and Joe Thuney on the offensive side) are out.

Lamar Jackson in the playoffs is 2-3. Mahomes has won the same amount of super bowls as Lamar’s total playoff wins. People mess up when they use regular season stats playing us in the post season
Past game records have no bearing whatsoever on now. It is all about who is going to play and how they do it now. The table has turned. Now Lamar has the roster advantage and the Coaching to win now. No excuses when he wins this game.

Joe Thuney did not finish the game last week and will probably miss next week, Willie Gay out last week same for this week, Mike Edwards OUT, Nnadi OUT, McKinnon OUT, Skyy Moore OUT. All year we heard the Chiefs offense is not that good. Now the gold post moved.. it’s the other team injuries. What is it going to be after they beat the Ravens?

One big test will be KC's pass pro' against Baltimore's 4-man rush. KC's tackles against Baltimore's DEs. Yes, Allegretti will have his hands full at LG against their interior, but that won't decide the outcome like how well they're holding up against the EDGE rush in space.
On the other side, KC doesn't have the flashiest pass rushers. Chris Jones is all-world, and he can play inside or outside, as can most of the rest of that D-Line rotation. I think they'll follow a similar strategy to what they used against the Eagles in the last Super Bowl. Deny the run and take some chances down the field. And like they did against Miami, jam outside, without fear.

That defense gave up 180+ rushing yards last week. I know it's hard for Swifties to fathom, but you're running into a far superior opponent for the first time ever.

Chiefs in a way been tested against miami at home and bufflao on the road and ravens faced only the texans. Ppl thought buffalo was better team last week, ppl also thought philly was better team last year. Context matters. Both the D's you site were injury riddled. Despite that, KC barely beat the Bills. Ravens have been beating up on teams with winning records all year. In fact, Ravens boat Raced both of the NFC teams playing this weekend. People just do not want to recognized that this Ravens team is unquestionably the best in the NFL. It is the reason former multiple SB champion and future HOF great Gronk has said Ravens will win.

Facing him in the playoffs is one of those things where it doesn’t matter where you ranked in the season. He’s that good. Not saying he’s unbeatable, but just because you have a high ranked defense isn’t enough to be this confident vs Mahomes.

If KC can't run the ball and Ravens can get pressure with 4 guys, Mahomes playing a clean game won't be enough because nobody will be open. Stroud played a really clean game and didn't get sacked or turn the ball over, but it didn't matter because he was constantly under pressure and nobody was open.

Ravens give up over 4 yards per carry. Chiefs run the ball with taking deep shots in the passing game. Also, if Mahomes out rushes Jackson, Chiefs win. Everyone is sleeping on the Chiefs defense. Oh in the Bills game Chiefs played a cover 2 Spags didn’t care about the run. He totally baited the Bills with 4th quarter adjustments.
Last, Lamar isn’t Mahomes. Chiefs will do the same gamelan they showed in the 4th quarter against the Bills, 46 bear, and trust their corners to cover.

It's a match-up game, and the Ravens match-up well against all top teams. They will have more trouble with mahomes than with any other QB who made the playoffs, but I don't think the chiefs D can hold them under 20. They match up poorly, and if Gay is out, I don't see how the LBs will at the same time spy on Jackson, block Hill and take care of likely.
The only solution I see is to rush 3 30% of the plays (on 2nd and long especially), and have an extra LB in front.
Texans blitzed 75 % and had a spy too. Lamar is healthy and just playing lights out. He has the roster and the coaching staff this time and I do not see KC being able to stop them.
