Phil McKnight, so true! Seems like so many metal drummers nowadays want to show their djent and jazz fills with tons of unneeded and somewhat obnoxious fills. That stuff is sweet, but drummers that can keep a solid timing and beat are way better in my opinion
@@EthanRom they all use in ear monitoring on stage in metal bands these days. So no amplified vocals or guitar monitors at all.. They also use simulated guitar amps like "kemper" or "axe-fx" so there is actually not much bleed on the drum mics. Just drums, the unamplified voice of the singer and the distant PA that blasts in the opposite direction. But nonetheless they use triggered samples to enhance the sound because it fricking sounds thicker and more massive! :)
@@buenmin799 depends I know Trivium does this. All Kemper, but not sure for this band or they can be using live amps, but the in ear feed is a kemper or some other amp sim-this method i know a lot do, not everyone has totally ditch live amps.
Jakob Mogenson I got there right after they preformed. I literally missed them by a hair and it makes me so sad. I was able to catch Kublai Khan though so it wasn’t all that bad
The visuals are so well put together, beautiful takes, and the audio 10/10 as always, also props to the band cause they sound great too, perfect video guys!

Man they are such great musicians, I had to keep reminding myself this was in fact the live audio, because the playing is so tight and clean that it DEFINITELY sounds like this could have been the studio recording.
