Fill up or Top up your Vaillant Combi Boiler. Repressure
Today we're working on heating system in leeds. I'm going to show you how to top up, fill up, or re-pressurize your Vaillant combi boiler.
So this is a Vaillant ecoTEC Plus that we're here with, today. So what we've got on this, we've got low water pressure, so I'll show you the gauge on the front, and then I'll show you underneath, what you need to do to fill it up and get your boiler working again. Let's have a look now.
What you might find is you might find an F.75 fault and low water pressure. That's at 0.6 bar. And then when you look at your gauge, you can see the gauge is down at the bottom. We'll need to top that up. It needs to be about one or just over one bar.
There's two taps. There's one here, and there's one here. What we have to do is, we have to open them to increase the pressure, and by increasing the pressure, that gauge in there will go up, and also the gauge on there. What we've got to be careful is, not to put too much pressure in. So how this works is, if you have a look at this pipe here, this pipe is the cold pipe there, and the cold water from there, when you open that, goes around this flexible pipe here, and it goes into the pipe here for the heating.
What we'll do now is, we'll slowly ... so we've opened the cold there, now. And then what we'll do is we'll slowly open this one. As we open it, you let water go in there. And then if we have a look at the gauge on the front, so we've got F.75 fault code. So we just put a bit more in.
And we'll see the gauge there, it will start going up.
We've still got F.75 on there. And then the pressure now is starting to go up on the gauge. So on this boiler, it doesn't actually have any numbers on the gauge, which is a bit silly, really. So if we do it to about there, what we'll do underneath, we will turn it back off, like that. And then we'll reset this boiler.
There we go, the boiler is back working. So that's the most common cause for an F.75 fault, but there could be various other things, so if that fixed your problem, please add comments below. If it hasn't fixed your problem, please add it in comments below, as well. If it didn't fix the problem, then you'll need to call out a engineer, who will be able to help you further.

Dad told me I'd have to refill the appartment heating unit with pressure every once in a while but he didn't mention that it would throw an error code when I need to (F75) so I defaulted to looking online and found this.
I hate these new devices that don't show the pressure on a simple damn gauge and instead show it on some display that you have no way of controlling. I was basicaly filling it blind after seeing this video because there's no button to make the unit show me the current pressure if it doesn't want to...
The manual doesn't help either...it's as if they want you to call service just so they can fill the damn thing with water from a knob...
Hi Alan,
Mi combi boiler Vaillant eco plus just started giving me problems as there are times that it won't start in the morning, I have it set 3 times during the day; 6:30 am to 8:30am, 3:30pm to 5:30pm and 7:30 pm to 9:30 pm, the issue just started for about 3 weeks ago, as I have it serviced every year, it was working ok till for some reason it didn't start just in some days in the mornings, during the day it works ok but there were some morning when I had to go to the cupboard where the boiler is and press the ignition button to have it working, this morning it was harder to put it to work and even pressing the button it didn't start, then I had to move the thermostat dialer inside the flat till the boiler did three attempts and on the 4th try, it started working ........ the boiler was fitted following the manual in Sept 2005 so it's old but as said since I bought the flat 9 years ago, I've been having it serviced once a year ............. I wonder what it's going on?. any help please mate .........I could be needing probably a new boiler?............ any advice from you would be appreciated. .......... cheers!!!
❤Thanks, children's charities deserve more attention.
We’re a family of 7 with one wage. I was filled with fear at the cost of calling out and engineer to repair our boiler. Thanks to your demonstration our boiler is now work and the heating can go back on. Thank you so much x

This video helped me out for the most important part, i've got warm water again. However, i think i've got a leak, a tiny bit of water has found it's way to the side of the boiler and drops down there. I believe i might have a small leak which reduces the overall pressure of my boiler. I'll call in a technician for that, until then, i've got warm water again thanks to this video. Thank you!
Check out my latest video as it advises on leaks. Thanks.

Bless you. Thank you for your amazing video. Fixed my boiler by myself
Hello Allen hope all is well.
Numerous issues I have with this video:
1. F.75 error code is 9/10 times a blocked water pressure sensor. F.22 typically relates to low water pressure.
2. It sounded like your pressure vessel there may have needed recharging.
3. Always put vaillant combis into P.6 mode when repressurising.
4. The gauge on the right is for engineers use only. It's suppose to give you a rough idea on how the pressure vessel is. On newer models you will always see these on the inside as customers often mistake it for an indication of the water pressure. To get an accurate pressure reading just press the 'minus' button.
Sorry my friend I'm not trying to teach you how to suck eggs and please excuse me if I have said anything wrong. I am only going by what my teachers have shown me and it hasn't let me down.
Thanks for the video :)
I forgot to mention that you could've blown the 3bar prv with this technique you've just shown us.
Thank you very much for taking the time to write all that, You are in fact correct i should of also added F22, Thank you
I work on Vaillant's all the time, I carry "10" water pressure sensors in my van all the time !!!! ...........Needless to say I change them All the bleedin time !!

How far did you have to turn them? I normally don't have an issue but left one has no grip to it and no moving water at all when turned.
