The reason I love your vlogs so much is because it feels like I'm watching a friend's travel journey and everything you do seems so attainable and authentic! Hope you're having the best time! 🌴
That was excellent how colorful it all is there and the light is different there. ..Also when you opened the door in the morning it looked like paradise abosultly beautiful the waterfalls and the walk were really nice it was definitely worth the effort! Well done Christine very lovely thank you. I've also learnt don't go to Columb for a good coffee like the hat!!
Please don’t miss out “reserva natural rio claro” in you way in or out Medellin. This natural reserve is one of my favorite places in Colombia. It’s gorgeous!!
That was the best Salento video I have seen. Great job and thanks for all the info. I will be traveling there in 2 weeks and this makes me more excited!!!
Just found your channel bc I was searching videos of Salento! I was in Salento from nov 2019-March 2020 and man it was the best! I love you documented it! I miss Jesús Martín coffee 😩😩

Hola!! I'm loving your content! We met in Palomino a few weeks ago at the hostel and never got to say goodbye properly. It was great to meet you and dance with you!
@@BackpackingBananas barely made it on time. I was stressed the whole way, but staying that extra night in Palomino was totally worth it. Didn't know you were going to Ecuador next, my favourite country to visit!! I'm following you on Instagram now as well. Good luck on your adventures and hopefully our paths will cross again.
I was just in Colombia this week (Bogota) and your videos were so much fun to watch as inspo! I lowkey thought it would be so cool to run into you there! Hope you're having a lovely trip.
i've just come back from Colombia and i'm living my trip again thanks to your videos! would love if you could talk more in depth about the budgeting for this kind of trip, mine was one a month long. Hope you continue enjoying this beautiful country!
Yayy ❤️ yess I will deffo try to talk about budgeting more in the visa but rest assured I'll be making a big video ALL about money and how much I've been spending when I get back home 😊
Mel honeyBee me too 😂😂 and as a German my only thought was: “this is definitely not TÜV-certified!” (TÜV is the technical control board / inspection agency in Germany)
Love your vlogs lovely and beautiful Christie!!! ❤ Visiting that waterfall and going to the coffee farm looks amazing!!! 😊 Also you look amazing in your hat!!! ❤
I’ll be adding this to my bucket list! Also, your channel inspired me to create my own channel and head out for my first backpacking trip June 2021! You’re such an inspiration, keep it up & safe travels ❤️
The cheap colombian coffee is called "tinto" here. It became part of our culture and it is usually offered to anyone when visiting a house. High quality Coffee like Juan Valdez is still a market on the rise here but you can find lots of organic coffee here in Colombia which taste delicious 😋
Looks like fun! Beer and gunpowder game...still surprising it's not here in the States. I've been to Columbia too and did not get a decent cup of coffee the whole time. (1 month) glad you found the good stuff!
South America seems so pretty and so nice. I really want to go backpacking after A-levels but I don’t want to go alone so how do I convince someone to go with me?
You can find good quality of Coffee in Colombia of course in fine places such Juan Valdez But not in those cheap places. The expectation is to find the best coffee everywhere in Colombia it’s a shame that isn’t the case.
Love your videos so much! Where did you spend your New Year's? I don't know if I've missed it but I'd love to know where you'd recommend for NYE celebrations
Another great video! This is the first time I follow you in real time so I'm very excited for every new video and it makes me want to travel more and more :D . I wanted to ask you - at the coffee making place I saw some flags and they had a flag of my country - the Czech Republic, do you know why they had those flags there? Thank you X
Hey, something I didn't find on any Colombian coffee region is what are the general payment methods accepted? Do we need to go to ATM to have pesos? Or we can use credit card? Thanks
It all looks amazing, would love to travel there myself. But I am wondering, are there enough vegetarian/vegan food options? 😅 Enjoy the rest of your trip xoxo
I made it home from Asia safely! Thanks for the well wishes on my backpacking trip... I live in Maui, Hawaii. If you'd like to plan a trip here or stop by on your way home from one of your journeys let me know! Would love to host you and show you the beauty of my island 🏝
Crazy how you get an itch to go home and as soon as you're home you have an itch to travel further. This world is so beautiful. Cannot wait to do Columbia in the future 😍

Thank you for your videos. Couldn't deside between Colombia and Guatamala+yucatan (mexico). Now seeing your videos it will be Colombia. Love it
Hat tip: if there's a ribbon or tag on it somewhere, you can loop a caribiner through and hang it off the top of your bag
Just stayed at the same hostel, so cool!
That place is so beautiful, easy to see why you extended staying there. 👍😎
Yess, and it's neverending!

Tinto es black coffee ☕served in a small cup. Demitasse, that is, regardless what brand of coffee it is
Watching thise while sitting in a 7 hour bus back home from a little weekend trip ☺️

Cocora Valley in Colombia is famous for having the world's tallest palm trees. It's more commonly known in Spanish as “Valle Del Cocora”.
I love Salento!
Might be the most beautiful place so far ;) ❤️
😍😍🌴🌴 like a fairytale!
Wonderful 🇨🇴 😍
Love your videos so much! Where did you spend your New Year's? I don't know if I've missed it but I'd love to know where you'd recommend for NYE celebrations

Ah, looks like your great fun! Great video! More please :-0
I am from Cali! 😍

I'm sorry I have no idea, perhaps it's the countries they export to?? 🤷🏻♀️
Glad you're enjoying the series! ❤️❤️
3:50 Your hat looks very nice.
JAJAJAJAJAJAJAJAJAJA YOU PLAYED TEJO! the best!!
Why is that so funny? 😅
I am Colombian personally I don't like Tejo it's not funny for me, but some people enjoy playing that because of the drinks hehehehe
Good job learning Spanish 👍
what camera did you use for this blog? I love the images.
Your videos are so nice! I agree with the comment about dating and hook ups, i've always wondered that. Would be nice to know :)
Will try and talk about that when I get home 😊
Estoy listo para regresar a colombia.

I love this! Also Merlijn is dutch right? Im dutch too so its funny
Yesss he is Dutch 😅
There are other mountainous little towns that are more beautiful than Salento and offer more to the tourists
thank you!!
It all looks amazing, would love to travel there myself. But I am wondering, are there enough vegetarian/vegan food options? 😅
Enjoy the rest of your trip xoxo
Lots of vegetables, fruits, just avoid the meat
dis you go to the thermal waters nearby (Santa Rosa de Osos)? it pays.
Ever visited Leh Ladakh?
Yo i'm travelling to Colombia in a few weeks... any problems travelling with corona virus hype yet?
You'll be absolutely fine. It has not affected anything here.😊
Very entertaining blog,
Very entertaining vlog, hope you have a great time in my birth city.
That’s actually really sad but the case in so many other countries. Can’t even enjoy the delicacies (coffee) from your own country ☹️
I agree it’s sad they don’t get the good stuff as standard!
I made it home from Asia safely! Thanks for the well wishes on my backpacking trip...
