I have Mechen 3 - M3 V0326.1.7. I would like to try to update firmware because titles of Bach cantatas with German don't display correctly. it can't handle foreign text. Maybe doesn't do unicode? However, when I download the update tool it says that my 20 day trial has expired and that there is no internet connection which is not right.
Hello, have you set the language to German? German titles and lyrics may appear abnormal if the system language is English. May I ask where you downloaded the update tool, we don't have an expiration date set for it.

usb isn't detected. it shows up in Windows but update tool to show. do I have to put it in certain usb mode
please have a try: press the power button and the volume + together, then connect the mp3 player to the USB port of the computer.

I tried to update the firmware, it was successful but wont turn on.
Then i tried to put another one but it fails at 20%. Help
in this case, you're using the wrong firmware.
not all the firmwares work for the device on your hand.
@@MECHENTECH i found the right one , the ones at Google drive are ok. The ones from the page didn't worked.
