I love how your cats have their own little space. Thumbs up for being a caring owner!
Gabrielle Sivley Thanks so much for your kind comment!
My mom says there's no one as crazy as me to keep 4 cats in an apartment, hence we should get rid of them :( so to prove her that so many people can be as 'crazy' as me I'm searching for as many videos as i can which have 4 cats in an apartment lol
Don’t let people tell you to get rid of your pets! That’s so sad! The only way that is acceptable is if there is neglect or abuse involved….
😂😂 thought u were making a joke. Shows the bed. "This is uhm, where my girlfriends work area is, in case we need to do some work inside this room" then seen the desk top afterwards.
Oh mah god LOL
@@monsieurtn As always great video though! And the cats stuff is helpful! 🙂 I have 3 cats
Resourceful guy, love how the kitties have a wheel and their own little couch, and good stuff.
My husband and I have 4 cats too in an one bedroom apartment. Having cat tower kennel helps us alot.
Wow you treat your cats so well and they love you.
Thanks for your kind reply! I try my best!
I have two kitties in my rented tiny space, so here looking for inspiration. Thanks for the tour...
I am cracking up at how that Bengal is just sitting over your shoulder like that. He loves his daddy
You are a wonferful human. and love your cats and apartment
Never Day "it's not much". You're very lucky to have a nivel place to live in, and you've done a good job with it 😁
This was a super helpful video! I just got two kittens and am trying to make this work in 500 square feet. You gave me some great ideas. Thanks! I love your small space!
Thanks! I'm happy whenever I can help other people! You can definitely do it in that space!
That’s a mansion! I live in Hawaii and a studio is about half the size of your apartment. I love your videos
Thanks for your comment! I agree! This apartment that I'm in is a tad bit larger than most normal studio apartments here in Korea! My past one was only about 20 square meters with my 4 cats. Is that the size in Hawaii as well or is it smaller?
my place is smaller too...i just have one cat)
your videos are so helpful! thank you for making them
I love this video! Been thinking of getting a cat in the future and i just love the studio apartment.
This is litterally my dream apartment
Thank you for providing the life and stimulation they need well thought of and put together.
Beautiful cats!
DCfred ikr
That kitty loves you!
This is a great insight into your lifestyle with your beautiful cats. Thank you for sharing!
You seem to only have three window beds - will you install another bed on the window for your kitten?
Thanks for your comment! From what I've observed, they almost never use the window beds all at the same time. They tend to rotate and take turns. Some days one cat will be sleeping on the couch and then maybe rotate to the shark house underneath the TV and then go back to the Window Bed. However, if I do see that they're all starting to go up there, then yes! I'd probably think about getting another window perch/bed!
@@monsieurtn good to know! I'd be curious to see whether you come up with a good solution for the litter tracking. I live in a small apartment too and am considering getting a cat but am concerned about hygiene, smells and overall cleanliness.. your channel is so helpful! I'll continue to watch your videos.
@@thelittlemisa Funny that you mention litter tracking! It's one of the videos I was planning to make next. I wrote about it in my article here monsieurtn.com/2019/09/28/the-battle-to-control-cat-litter-tracking/ if you want to take a look! But I definitely will be making a video on it soon for clarification of my ideas and solutions
@@thelittlemisa i switched to pine litter and a sifting litter box and was able to eliminate pretty much all of the litter tracking. Before that it used to drive me crazy with the litter tracking on the floor, beds, etc. I have 3 cats and the system works very well for us so far.
Ying H this is super helpful to know, thank you! The shelter I foster for has provided crystals to trap odour but it tracks everywhere >
❤I wanted to get the cat wheel for my younger cat, but didn’t when he was a kitten. Was it hard to get them to use it?🐈🐈⬛
Hello! You guys are really well organised! So efficient! This has given me some ideas 💡 Do you have a video on how to introduce a new cat to your other cats? They all look content together so I think you must have some good advice on this! Thank you 🙏
Great video! Now where did you get your shirt?
So great! Thanks for posting!
There u go , i knew you live in korea! Cuz of the interior design of your flat hahaah glad to know you:) bengal cat owner
Yes I do! Hahaha welcome to my channel! It's good to meet another cat person in Korea!
You live in Korea?? I’d love to hang out!! Amazing videos thank you
Hi love your videos on how to catify smaller space i was wondering if you had any tips on how to manage their weight and exercise in a smaller space and whats best food what amount etc per cat you mentioned you feed 3 times a day are they big or small portions. i hear jackson galaxy says that kibbles dry food is more fattening and that wet food is better or raw meat but i dont know how give them raw meat what about chicken is better cooked i think bcos salmonila. thank you :)
Hi! If you're using dry kibble, try to use a large puzzle or activity board to feed your cat in during meal times. It not only lets them eat slower, but it's fun for them to obtain their food!
For raw food, cats have been eating raw for centuries and their stomachs and intestines are developed to eat raw. So if you're able to, try it out! For me, I am starting to introduce more raw foods in my cat's diet.
But again, if I feed them dried kibble, I use the cat activity board (you can find the video on my channel!). Thanks for your comment!
where did you get that white cat exercise wheel? it's amazing
For the Drifters Thanks for your comment! This exercise wheel was ordered from a Korean website! I tried to search if it was available from amazon but unfortunately couldn’t find it. However, the wheel works the same as any other cat wheel!
How did you flight to Korea with the 3 cats? Which airplane? Did you carry 3 by yourself or your gf helped you? Did you buy 2 seats for your cats? I can't imagine putting my cats in cargo.... Sorry! I have many questions since I have a similar plan. THank you in advance!
Hi! I adopted my cats in Korea! But if I were to actually move somewhere long term - it will really depend on the airplane company! Some will allow cats to be as be on the plan as a carry-on or else they'll have to be in another part of the plane. Hope this helps!
lovely video and channel! definetely subscribed! do you ever take your cats outside for walks?
Thanks for the kind comment! Yes I do actually! I usually take the really active cats such as Bengal or kitten to the park near here my place and let him explore.
Man!!! i admire you to live in a studio with your girl friend wow. I want to say so many positives things!!!. First ONE MILLION THNAKS I live wit a dog and a cat in a loft studio apartment, she has a lot os space and a ladder so she ( the cat) enjoys going up and down as well she loves to play with the dog, to sleep with us, she is very social and playful. Recently I saw this haacs,GREAT IDEA ill buy lik 3 to put them in different glassy areas. the litter...I think the solution with vacum cleaner is the best!. thanks again for such amazings videos and guidance!!!
Thanks so much for your encouraging comment! I hope my videos have been entertaining!
Great video! I'm currently dreaming about owning a cat or two. I live in an apartment similar size to yours, but I'm not sure if it would be enough space for a cat alltogether. How do you personally feel about having such highly active cat as bengal in an apartment the size of yours? Does it feel cramped? I feel that finding a place for the cats to climb up and finding a good place for the litter boxes would be small challenge in my apartment. And also I don't have a door between the bedroom and the other living space, so I'm wondering if I'd go crazy at some point haha!
Thanks for your comment!
Actually before I was living in an EVEN smaller studio apartment, with no separation from the my cats. I had 3 cats at that time!
It was just a matter of setting a play/eating schedule so that you control their activity levels! By the time it was bedtime, the cats were also ready to sleep as well! So it was really not that bad!
monsieurtn.com/how-to-live-with-3-cats-in-a-studio-apartment/
I got more into detail in my website!
@@monsieurtn Thank you for the reply!
You had some great tips on your website. Maybe I do still have some hope on having two cats in my apartment! One question I had in mind: the window hammocs are a new thing for me, but they seem great at saving space. How well do they stay up with the suction cups alone? Do they ever fall down?
Thank you for making such helpful content! :)
@@TheAnsom Definitely get those window hammock things! The cats love to sunbathe/play on it and yes, it so incredibly efficient on space!
They don't need to be put on windows either, they can be put on any surface that's glossy. When I was in my other apartment, the window area was not that big, so I put it on the glossy closet door! Worked well there too!
To make them stay up well, just wipe the window clean so that there's no dust and stick them on. I've only had them fall once or twice in the year or so that I've owned it and its a simple matter of just putting it back up.
It can support the weight of all 4 of my cats on at once!
@@monsieurtn That sounds great! I definitely have to look into those! I have never noticed them in any pet stores around here. Thanks!
Which litter do you use to keep the bad smell away if you live in a studio that doesnt have the separated door for bedroom? Im thinking adopt a cat too but Im afraid of the bad smell 😖
How manh sqm is your place?
How many rooms does your "studio" have?
How often do you clean the litter boxes? Only having two and 4 cats I would though they must get territorial and doing their business in other parts of the studio
When I was living in an even smaller studio apartment, I was only using one litter box! However, it's because they were all introduced well and have a good relationship with each other. If they were complete strangers (or unfriendly towards each other), I would have more litter boxes!
For more information: monsieurtn.com/how-many-litter-boxes-in-apartment/
My cats take turns using the litter box and rarely ever do their business outside their litterboxes (i.e. sneakily walking into the bathroom without me knowing and me closing the door and thus unable to reach the litter box)
I have 3 cats in a two bedroom and i reallllllllllllllly want one more
Wow
Any damage to the wires/ power cords on the floor from the electronics? I have a few and want to get a kitten but not sure how I would hide them?
Hi! Thanks for the comment. To answer your question, my cats rarely ever attack my electronics or cables. However, try your best to keep them out of the way. It doesn't have to be completely hidden.
Just have a lot of toys around so that the kitten doesn't care about the wires. If you have nothing for the kitten to bite or play with - they will look for other things to bite.
I love buying matatabi sticks - wooden natural sticks (similar to catnip) for the cats to bite instead of other objects around the apartment or house!
How many sqm do the apartment have? =)
Your cats act like a baby when carried, just like mines lol
Hahaha! Yes I use to carry them a lot when they were kittens. I guess they're quite use to it by now!
"So come in"
.... "takes a step and a half forward"
"So because things are pretty small here...."
.... "Continues recording"
😂😂🤣
😂 I'm not very good at this Vlog stuff
It was great! & very helpful as a cat owner who live in apartment. I am realizing a lot thanks to your video.
I have four cats in a one bedroom apartment and I feel like the one bedroom is too small. Let alone a studio apartment
do they scratch the wall?
They don't scratch the walls - the wallpaper has been peeling 😂 so I covered it with...more wallpaper!
How many feet is your apartment? Just wondering because I and getting a 3rd cat in a one bedroom
Hi! My current apartment is about 320 Square feet with 4 cats. I use to live in an even smaller apartment (215 square feet) with 3 cats!
@@monsieurtn wow!!
You didn't show the bathroom, but in all other spaces the flat does not look cramped: I think that this is an achievement of human "butlers".
I like how Asian hallways are organized: it is the best possible way from my point of view. And the worst will be American ones: you just step right into the living room.
Have they experienced the outside world like touching the grass or seeing birds?
From the window hammocks they often watch the world outside (birds, cars, rain, snow etc.). Most of my cats HAVE had experience outside but only with my supervision when I train them for walks (not these days though, unfortunately, due to the world situation :( ).
The only one that truly enjoys the park or walks is probably my Bengal cat!
I see... How can I deal with my male neutered cat wanting to go outside the house? He keeps on meowing/crying so loud..Walking cats on a leash is so uncommon here in our country that you would be laughed at. My other female cat is very okay being inside the house.
My cat used to have the privelege to go outside the house a 2 months ago but now they are both jailed inside the house.. the female cat grew up being jailed inside the gated house anyway but she sneeks up once in a while and I always end up climbing on top of the roof for real that I almost broke my left arm because I fell!
@@louiep432 I totally understand! I think the best way is to try your best to bring as much of the outside in - plants, places to climb, hiding places, etc. Turn on the TV for nature sounds/birds flying. More indoor environmental stimulation might be the answer here!
Other than that, try your best at ignoring your male cat because if you give him any attention when he cries, it will reinforce that behavior. If you have to, use tools to ignore him (earplugs, noise-canceling headphones). My Bengal is very talkative and when he wants something he'll meow really loud - the best way is to ignore (if he wants something that is unreasonable).
Thnx for the advice but I wouldn't want to put plants inside because they will only dig the soil.. I'll try playing the birds sounds though..
You are hot and have perfect English
why are the apartments so sterile looking? like hospital overhead lights..idonno would make me depression worse I think, love ur cats tho.
