Kelly you need some plants 😁 ZZplant and Snake plant are easy to take care of. They don’t need a lot of watering they would be real nice by your lamp in living room. Just a suggestion 😁
I agree! I want to add some plants around my home. I don’t have a green thumb and normally have bad luck with plants but have thought about trying a snake plant. They are so pretty to me
I agree you need some plants. Snake plant ( in the south they are called mother in laws tongue) ha. Also pathos. I remember when you had ferns outside Kelly. Beautiful!
I just wanted to say that I rarely watch anymore homeschooling videos bc I feel many are so unrealistic and mainly promote the “aesthetic” vs reality. However, I am so glad I watched yours bc your rhythm looks almost identical to mine! It’s nice to find relatable content that motivates me and makes me feel like I’m on the same page with other homeschool mamas. Keep up the great work!
Yes. people need to know the laws concerning home schooling and make sure their children are meeting the requirements and that you have the skills to do it.
Hey Friend, Happy Saturday. I love seeing the homemaking and homeschooling morning routine. ❤ I love learning more about how homeschooling works for you and your family as well. ❤🥰 I love how you don’t have a set schedule for homeschooling you do it based on when you are able to. 🦋🦋
Nice waking up to your video this morning. A few sips of coffee and already moving my bedroom furniture around. Lol oops , forgot about the butterflies 🦋 lol ❤
When my oldest done home schooling she succeeded better at home. When youngest try it, it was not for her. My youngest completed at regular school. To me its what ever works do it. You are doing great 😊🦋🦋🦋
🦋 Great video. I homeschooled my son until he was 6 years old and then I sent him to school. Watching you do it and sharing your own experience makes me nostalgic and desiring to homeschool him again. But this mama needs to work also 😢 Really enjoy your videos. They’re so real and relatable ❤
Kelly, I love to watch your videos, you are such a good Mom to your children. I am an empty nester as my sons are 43 and 25. Yep HUGE age gap. Anyway it is so refreshing to see a young lady that loves to take care of the home. Thank You so much for sharing. God Bless. Sending love all the way from Alabama, Chrissie ♥️🙏🦋p.s tell your beautiful sister we need a video!!!!!
Nice job taking care of yourself I still get up early to start my day even though my kids are grown and out of the house have a happy valentines day❤🦋📝
You are doing so well with home schooling! As a retired teacher, I can tell you that you are spot on with preschool age being mostly play-based. The best thing you are doing, whether you put Rae into public or private preschool or keep her at home, is getting her in the “habit” of “it’s time for school”. Well done! Love your videos!
I have been homeschooling for 7 yrs now, one of my daughter is in the 7th and the other daughter is in the 12th . My youngest only went to preschool that was it. My oldest finished 5th grade than I started homeschooling. I do Christian Light Education. We live in NC we don’t have to send anything in either. That have to do the end of grade testing, we don’t have to send them in either. I have a book I keep all there text in just in case that the state come in. 🦋
I love homeschooling. Would not change a thing, just wish I had done it sooner for my 15- and 9-year-old. Thanks for all of your advice and seeing how your schedule goes makes me smile. No hectic mornings and really most of my evenings were so busy before we chose to homeschool. Those busy books are the best!! Keep up the good work Kelly! 🦋
🦋How do you handle the social aspect of their development? Do your children interact with other children, other than family? Thank you for sharing your homeschooling routine.
Well before life threw us the curve ball with my ex husbands diagnosis we were in a co op. Right now we are too busy for the co op traveling etc but have plans of joining again soon when my ex husband is better. 😊
When my kids were little, I taught them in a loose manner- I would put paper, pencils, crayons on the table and begin drawing and writing my name and their names and at 3-4 years old, they would come and sit on my lap and ask me about the letters and how to “make” their names, eventually it grew to learning their letters formally by 4 and they were doing basic reading before 5; when they got bored I let them walk away. Every day, at a certain time (usually after breakfast, clean up from that and getting dressed and making beds) I would put out the paper and pencils and crayons and would sit down and wait until they came to me, by the time they were 5-6 they were getting everything on the table before I could and that is when “formal” teaching began for each of my kids. Once they hit about 10 years old- we began the 4 days a week- 4 weeks on/1 week off schedule year round, but we were flexible about days. We would only do 4 subjects per day, 2 in the morning and 2 in the afternoon (our son is dyslexic and needed more breaks than our 2 daughters so I structured all 3 kids around his focus and attention span- he isn’t ADD or ADHD, many learning disabilities manifest that way but it’s about KNOWING what learning disability they have and adjusting class time and methodology to that LD and the “add/adhd symptoms” generally disappear) to allow for more one-on-one teaching and also daily chores throughout the day, if the day was beautiful outside, sometimes it was declared a free day and when the kids wanted to participate in extra curricular activities we adjusted our school days and times and every other week we got together with other homeschool families for an outing, a field trip or a more in depth tutoring day where a parent who was the strongest in one subject would teach for an hour or two and we would rotate throughout the day. Homeschooling has great rewards and many challenges and it’s not a “natural talent” for many of us but we all learn and adjust as we go and the kids thrive, especially when we stay consistent and mostly structured.
You are blesswd to have the schedule you've made. I see these parents rushing, yelling, total chaos in the morning trying to get out the door to school, daycare and work. Then the night te routine juat as hectic No wonder adults and kids are stressed. You're doing yourself and kids a world of good with the lifestyle your living.
Love seeing this I homeschool too this is.my first year and it been a learning experience I was over whelming self trying copy what a public or even a private school would do I’m finding what works for us . We use good ams Beautiful my kids are familiar with it so stuck with it . I also tried doing pre k with my 4 yr old he just wasn’t ready either . I normal try ms get our school in the morning before lunch and work house work in the afternoon 🦋🦋
We loved the freedom and flexibility homeschooling gave our family. We traveled with my husband when he had business trips, and we just took our work with us most times. We used many different programs as the kids got older, and you can absolutely homeschool high school, we did! Any one considering homeschooling needs to learn the laws and requirements in their state because each state is different. Love that you are homeschooling Kelly, this is precious time with your kiddos and such formative years. Good job momma 🦋🦋
🦋🦋🦋🦋 I homeschool as well and it was so exciting to see that someone else other than myself takes it easy with schedules and goes with the flow of the day and just teaches the kids what they need as we see as a mother they need other than the typical public school of pushing things on them. Also we use acellus and love it as well. Been teaching for 6 years now and wouldn’t change a thing I have a 15 year old, 8, & 7. ❤
I strive to have as structured of a routine as this. It is so calming to watch and reminds me to take a step back and enjoy the mornings more. Love your content as always 🦋
I was a single mom of two amazing daughters 💚💚 ( they were 3rd & 6th grade when I became a single mom ) I worked for the school as an educational aide, which worked out really good. I didn’t have to have a babysitter / which I wouldn’t been able to afford. I loved that I got to spend the summers with them 💚 Your a hard working mama 🦋🦋🦋
You're doing a wonderful job homeschooling, Kelly. I homeschooled all 5 of my children but not their entire school years. It was definitely hard but I'm glad we made it through. I love your home and how beautiful you've made it. ❤🦋
I haven't heard of ''dirty eggs", that must be a Georgia saying. I grew up in South Carolina, but now live in middle Ga.. Growing up in SC eggs were cooked this way, but we just called them scrambled in sausage or bacon grease, LOL. I love your videos. Your home is gorgeous! you have inspired me to make changes to ours. We've been in it for 15 years (renting from a friend) and it needs an update BAAAD! Gonna brighten it up with lighter colors to start.
🦋🦋 im loving all the videos on the new house. Im currently living with my mom and im constantly decorating my new place in my head lol. Im also living through you lol
🦋 Kelly, you are doing a wonderful job 👏 love how everything is coming together in your home for you and your children. Much love from your Kentucky gal❤
🦋🦋🦋🦋🦋your children are fortunate to have you as their role model! Such great inspiration you are. Wonderful you figured out what works for your family.
You are a wonder and such an inspiration to others. I see so many mothers with young kiddos running around willy nilly trying to get it all done and squeeze in the way too many activities the little ones are involved in. You're a true blessing to your children and a beautiful example to them. 🦋🦋🦋❤️❤️❤️🙂🙂🙂🙏🙏🙏
Hi Kelly, my son was homeschooled from 7th grade on. Mainly because the school where he was at wouldn't give me my choice of Jr high schools. They decided to sign him up for the roughest school in the city for him to go to so I pulled him out. Joey was a good kid and I wasn't going to put him thru that. When he got older he wanted to go for the Marines his asvab test showed him really, really high in the mechanical field. They really wanted him but at the time he didn't have his GED. Home schooling is great for some kids and they seem to really excell better being at home for schooling. Good job mom. Much loves and many hugs to you all. 🦋🦋🦋🦋🦋🦋🦋🦋🦋🦋🦋🦋
I've homeschooled my daughter for the past two years starting with kindergarten. We homeschool through a Christian online school called Enlightium but you can also do book based learning all the way through middle school. We love it. We also start by doing a slow morning. When I first started homeschooling in 2022, I had just gave birth to my 2nd baby girl so, that year was a little bit hard plus trying to figure out everything. But this year is definitely more relaxed. Love your channel ❤️
I have been going back and forth on homeschooling. My oldest has done it before but he lives full time with his dad in Georgia while I’m here in Florida. My daughter just turned 3 in November so I have some time to figure it out but I love the kinks they are very helpful! 🦋🦋
Great video! I love how chill you and your kids are! I work at a daycare, parents are always in a rush and stressed out! Keep doing what you’re doing because it shows with how well disciplined and kind your children are! Blessings for boys daddy🙏🏻🦋🦋🦋🦋
That was so interesting to see the homeschooling routine! Good job on doing that for your kids! I have never heard of dirty eggs😂😂thats a new one for me!🦋🦋💕💕💕
I do the same for my kids when they are home on weekends with the cereal, poptarts and nutrigrain bars for breakfast until I can get woke up enough to cook eggs or a better breakfast (brunch).
Enjoyed the video great tips for moms I remember how rushed I was getting my two boys out the door for school you are a inspiration for moms and dads 🦋🦋🦋🦋
Loved this Kelly! 🦋 Not having to rush in the morning get started with school is so nice! We do the same! We try to start around 10:30 to be done by lunch. Are they ever going to come finish your baseboards? I bet you are really wanting that finished!
Good video. Is it hard to keep your child's attention with home schooling? What about separating Mom from teacher. I guess I would be worried that the distinction would be difficult to maintain.🦋
Loved the video Kelly, we also use easy peasy curriculum. I have a 11th and 2nd grader, this is our third year in it. We absolutely love the transition to homeschool. Loved the idea of giving them down time before school, currently sitting on my porch enjoying the morning sun and watching your video before tackling the breakfast dishes lol. Prayers for the boys dad! God bless you all 🦋
🦋🦋love this video Kelly. I also homeschool my 9yo daughter,in Ga. Just like you we do until she masters and no rush...also we do try to stay on a schedule ,but that doesn't always pan out and I'm okay with that ,because we get it done and she is learning through out the day. I love the freedom of homeschooling. I was terrible about trying to mimic public school and quickly learned it is not for us. So again thank you for this video. Have a wonderful week!
Hey Kelly Where did you get the table for the kids? I have a table similar for my grandchildren that i am raising but it doesn't have a surface that wipes off easy. I love your videos and your decorating style.
Kelly you need some plants 😁 ZZplant and Snake plant are easy to take care of. They don’t need a lot of watering they would be real nice by your lamp in living room. Just a suggestion 😁
What a wonderful job you're doing with your children! Thanks Kelly Jennifer 🦋

Looking at you & Kane from the side while you were homeschooling he is your mini me! ... Continued Prayers for your boys Dad 🙏❤️🦋
He does favor me… he actually looks more like his dad tho! They are twins lol
Thank you for the prayers!
I think Kane looks like your husband
@@rosemarydavis9347 ummm, she's divorced. No husband. 🤷
It has been so powerful to see you grow and living out your new chapter. Keep blossoming! 🦋
Yes I agree and it’s so inspiring!
I have always done my laundry everyday!! Wash, dry, fold, and put away. Stay on top of it and then you never get behind. You go girl!🦋🦋🦋🦋
I don't put any of my pots, pans or wooden utensils on the dishwasher. You have a busy day!!!🦋

My son had a difficult time with handwriting and I homeschooled . I used Handwriting without tears and loved the program .
🦋 Great video. I homeschooled my son until he was 6 years old and then I sent him to school. Watching you do it and sharing your own experience makes me nostalgic and desiring to homeschool him again. But this mama needs to work also 😢
Really enjoy your videos. They’re so real and relatable ❤
🦋We are a homeschooling family too! ❤ Also to clarify, for Ga you have to test starting at the end of 3rd grade then every 3yrs after.

You've accomplished so much.
I hope you realize how much you empower women.
What are your list of projects for the year?

I know a few parents who used Acellus Academy for homeschooling their high schoolers. They loved it and had no problems with college applications. 🦋
This will be my second year homeschooling my twin 13 year old boys. It’s been the best decision ever.
Your doing the best with your kids ,your a busy mom 🦋🦋❤️
Great video kelly! Love all your content.Your home is so beautiful & you do great at maintaining it & all your projects & homeschooling as well.😊🦋

MO also allows high school homeschooling. 🦋🦋🦋

You are such an awesome momma! Question! Are your kids involved in any homeschool groups or co-ops?
🦋 Always enjoy your videos!
I love the color of your bedding so pretty it's just a nice warm color 🦋🦋🦋🦋🦋🦋
Good video. Is it hard to keep your child's attention with home schooling? What about separating Mom from teacher. I guess I would be worried that the distinction would be difficult to maintain.🦋

Hey Kelly Where did you get the table for the kids? I have a table similar for my grandchildren that i am raising but it doesn't have a surface that wipes off easy. I love your videos and your decorating style.
Good morning Kelly☕️ This brought back so many home schooling memories. 🐛🦋
