flying coasters are usually kind of tame but this one looks epic! steep drops,fast whipping inversions and transitions and even some airtime! graceful coasters are nice and all but I think the out of control ones are the best!! 😁

I feel like this is more a concept than a prediction, a Flying Coaster could be something CP is willing to build some day but I don't think it'll be WT's replacement due to the size. I think they'll just build something that's a filler ride first (could be a coaster) and renovate some older places in the park like they did recently before they make another large coaster.
I made sure this would fit in that area of the park, the station, lift and brakes would fit where WT was and the drop plus first element's main purpose would be to skirt around windseeker (I made sure it fit correctly)
Also did you take into consideration that the area where the all wheels extreme arena was right next to it so it should fit at least I hope! I would ride this

Looks like a neat concept. Long ride, good amount of intensity, some neat inversions. If they move the Ferris wheel and Troika, they could have room for something similar to this, and it’d be neat to have wing and flying coasters right next to each other
They do have the flying coaster void, but if they wanted a flying coaster, wouldn't they have gotten it by now. The model has been out for 20 years. I would think capacity is a big concern for them as these take a long time to dispatch

I really like how this has a near vertical first drop, so that people in the front row are dangling upside down before plummeting. This is super great, though I still wish there could be a flying coaster that has some elongated sections where you’re on your back instead of stomach. I feel like that is something that hasn’t yet been used to it’s potential yet
Considering the most crazy far as intensity goes Flying Coaster in the USA is Tatsu at SFMM-the next being what somehow actually feels less intense despite increased height+speed than Superman: Ultimate Flight clones being Manta. If Cedar Point built akin to this, or as wild as "Flying Dinosaur" it'd easily have the most wild/intense ever needed. It'd make solid sense for the line-up too. Just wish we knew where Wicked Twister was going. Would be amusing if it got sold to a six flags (or a leased one like Darien Lake) considering after years of removal/relocation rumors both they have are repainted+reopening with new names.
@@Emerald_OW I think that could be a good choice, but given it's closest competition has one, I'd only bet on it if Cedar Fair decides the investment is worth it+launch coaster for a park that deserves it. It is also very different from "The Flash" since that model at SFDK had to be altered heavily due to height restrictions.

It would fit, the station brakes and lift are all in the wc plot, the layout goes around windseeker and up towards breakers so nothing would need to be removed
I only put a tunnel on this one for the reason of supports getting in the way, at the time of building this I was just experimenting with supports so I did that to fix the support problem
@@Emerald_OW while I myself do enjoy a good flying coaster concept, I have to wonder whether or not Nighthawk might make cedarfair a bit hesitant with the model. It's not really all that popular and has a low throughput and I think it's pricy with It's maintenance (granted they don't even make parts for flying vekoma's anymore.) and I think it will be the next coaster to be removed there. I see you have a dual loading station, but one thing to keep in mind is staffing dual loading stations need extra and last time I recalled CP had some staffing issues (unsure of credibility). Still, it would be cool seeing a flying coaster. For some reason though I can only picture it in one of their other parks and not CP. I feel as though they would want to go in a more innovative direction for their premier park. Granted, I'm just now getting into this whole coaster world so I won't be shocked when I'm dead wrong haha.

surprisingly not, it does pull a few too many for a b&M tho (like 4.3g) and I think there might be a split second where it touches 4.6 but that was just due to weird shaping
And to be honest they don't have a lot of space to work with unless if they get rid of the big wheel or the rest of that other stuff that's toward the beach. Wicked Twister has a very small plot of land so fitting a big b&m flying coaster like this in its space wouldn't probably be possible.
The only thing I'd see not being realistic is it going underground... if it was a man-made above ground tunnel this would be an amazing coaster at Cedar Point.

As cool as this would be, it will never happen. You can't replace a shuttle coaster that takes up half the land of a vekoma boomerang with a large scale B&M flyer

They are generally small footprints, usually cheaper in comparison to large scale rides. Personally I think since CP is 100% developed and they are gonna rip out dragster quietly over the winter, they are gonna pass on that twister area for now and focus on the land they have with dragster and the pond on the brake run side for a new coaster. I just went to kings island since first timethis summer since the 90s and I got the feeling that that's actually gonna be where they shift their attention

Doubt this would happen, CP is likely staying away from a flying coastet bc its cost way too much to outdo Tatsu. Tatsu cost $21M in 2006. A bigger one would cost well over $35-40M
No way they put a flying coaster in. The maintenance cost alone on them make them unattractive to parks. Plus CP is notorious for long (1hr+ up to 3-4hrs) line times and the load times for flying coasters is considerably longer than all the other types of coasters out there. If CP seriously wanted a flying coaster I assume they would’ve just shipped the one from geauga lake up there instead of sending it to Kings Island. Look how long that lasted at KI and that was all due to maintenance costs and load times. Don’t get me wrong I’d be happy to see a flyer up there but don’t think that’s what CP has in mind I see them putting in a gershlauer (can’t spell it) with about 20 inversions lol that’s something that would get major attention from enthusiasts worldwide

I had to edit the terrain because the supports were getting in the way, so it would be easy to make it an above-ground tunnel.
