+five nights in anime springbonnie FNIA Well, this song is VERY difficult. It combines lots of different bow techniques, plus left hand speed and dexterity, plus slurring and string crossings. GIve it time! It is a HUGE accomplishment to be able to play this.
Katelyn Roseberry It is fun when it's finally learned! I think it belongs in the back of Suzuki Book 2 it is so challenging, but it presents a great challenge for Book 1 graduates!
+MAXIMUSPRIME GAMERR I have all the speeds in my online class! You can find info about my Suzuki Book 1 and Suzuki Book 2 classes at www.RedDesertViolin.com. Sounds like you are doing well!
Hello. How are you. Question please. I love the violin and the sound. I hated reading in school so I consider myself a poor reader. I can read but I learn better and faster just by watching and listening. I took violin lessons for a year. Did very well at it. I finished book 1 and started book two until my instructor father passed away. Then he just quit teaching me. Found another instructor and she did well also only to stop teaching me because of boy friend troubles and having an autistic kid. I want to continue playing the violin but having a very hard time finding the right teacher. I wished that you were near. I love the way you present yourself and instruct. I'm in Rochester,my. They say you can learn online but I think I need hands on teaching. Any advice for an older man at 69 that would love to be at least half as good as you are smiles. I know it's a long shot. But I have been following you for months now. A lot of the songs I learned were from watching you because of teacher failures.
Hi Michael, Wow....you need a permanent teacher! I love that you are able to learn songs by ear, by rote. That is a very important skill to have. (reading music is important too....but if I had to choose only one, I'd choose by ear) So, if you prefer an in person teacher, there is a "find a teacher" tool where you can find good Suzuki teachers by zip cod. Here is that tool: suzukiassociation.org/find-a-suzuki-teacher/ If you would like to try Skype/Zoom lessons, you can email me at lora@reddesertviolin.com. Let's get you a teacher!
It's VERY VERY close to spiccato, but it's not a true spiccato. The hair doesn't truly leave the string, and bounce. What you are seeing, that "almost spiccato" is a really special bow stroke called "leggiero". It's like an "almost spiccato".
This is much more helpful than the CD, because it is nice to be able to kind of keep an eye on the bowing
***** I agree! Will you please call up each of my private students and convince them of that?! ;-)
So glad we found your channel. This is really helpful for my 8 and 10 year olds. I love that you have slow and fast versions :)
+bdelikai Wonderful! I hope to add more. Wish I didn't have to sleep! LOL
Wow I have a trouble with this song thank you soon much I am really struggling so thank you so much.

+MAXIMUSPRIME GAMERR The Book 2 Gavotte......the Lully Gavotte? I LOVE that one! It sounds slightly Gypsy!

A 4 and plucking is more worst ENEMY
It's a HARD piece. I think Suzuki wanted to end with a BANG! LOL.....keep up the good work!
I'm about halfway though the song but my teacher taught me the difficult part first so hopefully I'll finish in another week
+Katelyn Roseberry Katelyn, you must have a very good teacher. The best teachers give you the hardest part first! Make sure you thank her/him.
