In this video I show the trail through Ilha do Mel (state of Paraná, South of Brazil), passing through the cave of Encantadas, Conchas Lighthouse and the Fortress.

To get to Ilha do Mel Island, you need to take a ferry. Currently, there are two embarkation points: Paranaguá and Pontal do Sul (which is a town in the municipality of Pontal do Paraná). The departure by Pontal do Sul is faster and the terminal is located at coordinates -25.567277, -48.357798 (or search for "Terminal de Embarque para Ilha do Mel - Pontal do Sul" in google maps). In the vicinity of the terminal, there are several parking lots where you will need to leave the vehicle.
Currently, the boarding fee, via Pontal do Sul, is R$ 44.18. The first boarding (in and out of high season) takes place 8:00. The last happens at 17:00, out of season, and 19:00 in season, which usually begins after Christmas. This information changes over time and can be consulted on the page of ABRALINE (Association of Boatmen of the North Coast of Paraná): www.abaline.com.br/ - here is also possible to buy the ticket in advance.
With the same ticket you can move to two destinations - Encantadas or Brasília. It is possible to get off at one and return from the other. When boarding, always ask the destination of the ferry, as the ticket conference takes place during the trip.
The shipment through Paranaguá takes place at coordinates -25.520114, -48.505103 and currently costs R $ 80.00 for non-residents.
If you prefer, book a lodging for an easier tour.
The Encantadas Cave and the Conchas lighthouse have free visitation and are open 24h. The Fortress of Nossa Senhora dos Prazeres has free visitation and the opening hours are from 7am to 7pm - this time can be changed outside the high season. The opening hours can be consulted by phone (41) 34269172.
* * * ATTENTION TO THE TIDE * * * access to the Encantadas cave or the fortress may be impossible in case of high tide and/or rough sea.
