So I didn't get a chance during my devstream recap to go into more depth with Jade. I just let pablo talk as I was strapped for time so that's what today's video is about. Can you see her being nerfed before release?
One other thing I rarely see mentioned is the fact that kills in zones marked by her 1 also increase duration on her 2 whilst active for even more energy/action economy. She really is feature-stacked!
Nah, people are severely overreacting, and idk why. If Dante was as overpowered as everyone acts, why do I not play him then? Or 80% of the people I see in squads? Just cause a new frame is strong, doesn't mean that there are no alternatives and no frames that are more fun.
I just hope these recent reworks/tweaks hit the other older frames. I really wanna use Equinox but I just don't feel like I'm doing enough with her right now.
I doubt she'll be any more power creep than Citrine and Wisp. Her healing is a limited range and she offers no form of damage reduction. Old supports such as Trinity, Oberon and Equinox suffer more from antiquated designs than bad kits. I just wish Pablo would do more smaller tweaks to bring a lot of older frames in line with modern design rather than the make reworks he's been doing.
Yeah, her healing zone is much more limited than Wisp because she can only have 3 at once (whereas Wisp can have up to 6 of any type) and you need to throw it at enemies for the debuff effect so you won't have it on your team permanently. It also has a much shorter duration than Wisp motes outside of the zone (10s in the dev build as opposed to 30s for motes). Her overshield is nice but doesn't really compare to Protea's shield satellites and seems to have a lower cap than Dante and Styanax's overguard shenanigans. Generally it looks like she'll be much better at debuffing enemies/improving team damage than as a defensive support or healer like Citrine.
I agree. For a lot of Warframes, the kit is good, but not the numbers. For example, Oberon's energy drain of his 3 makes no sense and should be more than halved. His 2 should be more convenient, wider. His 4 should deal much more damages. His 1 too. His passive is ass, that's true. Loki and Limbo are examples of Warframes who need a rework. Limbo is an anomaly in this game : you can't balance him. He relies too much on a gimmick. He is either broken or trash.
@@Bampaloudu64 Some value tuning on Oberon would definitely go a long way. I also think the Hallowed Ground ability synergies with the 3 and 4 need to change. Trying to get allies or enemies to stand in the grass to get the bonus armor or armor shred respectively can be awkward. Maybe make it so only Oberon needs to be on Hallowed Ground to get the benefits?
I absolutely love Jade, she's like my dream frame come true. Not only does she support, something I really enjoy doing in pretty much any game I play, but she also does big damage and to top it off she fucking FLIES ?? AND she's got a dress that unfurls into cool-ass wings ?? I mean, man, it just keeps getting better and better, I'm 100% farming and maining her when she's out.
@@kaijupinkstack a ton of aerial DR like aviator and Aerodynamic with Adaptation and she'll probably become a decent tank. Maybe add Primed Redirection with Arcane Aegis with the shield regen buff on her 2. I'm planning to build Jade as a tank, so that's pretty much my plan xD
I feel that supports kinda end being useful for endgame content if the dps frames or such can do the end gaming support that's needed from support based frames. And it would probably be a bad idea to make it where support frames are needed for certain debuffs or etc
Someone already mentioned deep archimedea, but the SP 60 eyes boss absolutely needs support frames. I couldnt have ran it without the help of a protea.
@@Galactic_15 If you're under geared for content then I suppose a support frame can help you through it. In reality though it's still better to just run a murder frame instead and clear things quickly. The SP 60 murmur boss is easy it's just a giant damage sponge. Fights can take a long time but there's not really any danger to it. 2 DPS frames are going to clear it quicker than a DPS + Support frame The 60 boss is also not relevant content lol. No one is running it
@@pearson674 Sure but DA doesn't really need that to begin with. As long as you have a weapon with a half decent build, you can do DA. Plus you can always just cheese it with a friend or something
Bit of a tangent, but if anyone wants to know more about the different types of angels, there's a video by a guy named Wendigoon that goes over the types (seraphim, cherubim, angels, archangels, etc)
not interested in a christian zealot that is friends with a bunch of right wing people on twitter. wendigoon fans challenge dont be like a christian zealot and force his stuff down everyones troath, difficulty impossible
06:09 her 3rd ability description states that it only reduces armor, from what we've seen it doesn't reduce armor AND shields like Pillage or Tharros Strike
@@shaunwilson3059 That is literally what they showed in the devstream, it decreases armor slowly over time while they're in range instead of removing it in one cast like Tharros, Pillage, etc.
@@shaunwilson3059Yea it looks like it tics away their defenses while you gaze at them, so that’s actually pretty cool cus you won’t really need to build it for 100% strip.
Meanwhile me a Hildryn main seeing Jade's 4 wondering when we getting a fix to Hildryn so her 4 is even anywhere worthwhile or appealing to use instead of just subsuming off for another ability like roar or something.
Just needs to let her cast pillage in it and actually fly over gaps. Balefire could use a buff (I would say remove the ragdoll yeet or weaken it, give it decent status or crit, make it actually double fire in her 4) and then it's good as is.
@@FelisImpurrator She should be able to move faster for starters too on top of casting her other abilities. Its a pointless ability since compared to Jade who'll be able to obtain energy back compared to Hildryn using normal energy. Shields are an awful place because energy orbs give next to nothing for shields.
Which leaves the question will jade's weapons have an incarnon form? (Something that has been lurking my mind but not answered) something that would make sense since the hate despair and torment all have incarnon forms I think So it would only make sense for the counter parts to have an incarnon form as well Or im missing something here
Remember that Incarnon's were created to power up (normally) old and underpowered weapons. So I don't think they'll have them out the gate, no. Do I think they'll have them ready to go much sooner than others might show up? Yeah, totally.
I already have a build planned for her. The angelic seraphim theme is already enough to make me want to main her, but after seeing her kit she’s hands down gonna be my new favorite frame.
I get that some warframes are strongers because new or bcs lore and something Just hope they revisit older support warframes giving them a gimmick worth of playing
Let's be real they have literally been reworking one frame every update basically. Trinity hust has to wait her turn. We going to act like frost didn't get a soft rework.
I wouldn't say it's a better gloom because of line of sight. Just think about Garuda, she can't take damage from the front with her first ability but she still takes damage from all other directions and she can still get killed very fast that way
Damage buff, and pillage armor strip. Great combo. Only thing I worry about is her surviability, and that'll depend on how well she can renegenerate her own shields, and if that'll be enough to shield gate. Which isn't my preferred survial tactic, but it can be usable. Healzone/Debuffzone will likely end up as what's getting replaced depending how well her 4 scales.
From the gameplay we've seen so far, the main thing saving her from the nerf hammer is she's going to be slow in terms of DPS. Where owl was able to nuke a YES in mere seconds. Where she's gotta prep an area first. Which tends to not work well in pubs/normal missions. She's going to be strong in all the right places
we all saw this happening before, a warframe getting a nerf well before even reaching the game because the community exagerated positive reaction (like with qorvex passive)
true. i destry to many keyboards per day... in other heand she make evryone importal so much that any other frame evne that angel can keep you so long imortal, most of thme just help you nto die but trinity spaming 3 and 2 well you just never die, not like my keyboard
Honestly think she could just use a few small buffs on what she already has. Longer duration, longer base range for armor strip, faster animations. Maybe having her augments being added in innately. Her kit on paper is great, shield gating, damage reduction, armor strip, energy regen. She just doesn't have enough slots to fit everything in, including the augments that make her good.
Trinity doesn't need a full scale rework. Oberon does. Trinity is very close to the power level of Citrine, she's just held back by limitations baked into her kit. If they uncap the maximum number of targets on Trinity's link she's suddenly a good frame. If they let her cast link without having a valid target in range, she's even better. If they reverse the duration scaling in energy vampire, suddenly she's putting out more energy than styanax with no nourish required. She's a status immune giga tank that gives out in a huge aoe infinite energy, armor stripping, damage reduction, and instant full health and shield healing with very minimal effort. All she's missing at that point is a cc, and that's what helminth is for. She'd be REALLY powerful if link made linked enemies taunted by her like she was a loki decoy. As someone who has 5 tau forged shards on my Trinity with 3 very different builds for 3 very different roles, that Warframe is literal inches from being great again. Also they could stand to bump her DR up to 90%
@@xyriliawhitestrake7263 where you play oberon last time ? He is archon killer. He is muviri monster He can make infinity radiation xd He is good support have kinda all things, cealr and prevents, starus, heal, armor, help on respawing. Have some dmg, have some support. Buffs he need just buffs . And yes trinity pretty much need some mini rework, she is strong what i alywas say, but she is spam 2-4 frame her 1 is trash and 3 is boring.
I was thinking of a rework for Trinity that makes her a little bit more aggressive. Now instead of needing an enemy to cast her abilities, her abilities now work like an aura, like Lucio from Overwatch and Storm from Marvel Rivals. Her 1st ability now constantly gives healing to nearby allies Her second ability now constantly gives energy to nearby allies Her 3rd ability now works with allies (maybe with lower effect). Her 4th ability now gives overshields/overguard, and now... (buckle up) the auras from the 1st and 2nd abilities, inflict the enemies with status effects, i was thinking maaaaaybe toxin for her 1st, magnetic or ice for her 2nd to slow the enemies, and maybe her 3rd ability could also inflict slash or other status effect.
To who ever is designing those newer frames I FREAKING LOVE YOU! , Dante and Jade are so freaking amazing design wise, and the references they are using are just really wonderful and ones that I always wanted to see in games , that mystical sorcerery with Dante and now a very biblically accurate Angel! , Amazing references and amazing execution Good Job!
I am very excited for Jade for two reasons manly: 1-She looks awesome; 2- Her third ability, if in fact we can subsume the armor strip part, will be perfect for Xaku, swapping The lost off could make a more mobile and powerful Xaku
if you want reliable strong strip put on Styanaxes shield bash, its 100% strip very easly without needing to ramp up, u trade the over time slow for a stun and get some healing for each enemy hit
I dont think they will allow another "dante incident" they know we want powerful warframes and lets be honest support frames are in the background rn because so many just nuke everything. I dont think they will nerf her just because they want us to play more support than nukes!
Id like to note that she doesnt have energy generation so your Aura mod slots are going to likely be Bond and Energy Siphion. And the "better gloom" doesnt include any health generation(a huge part of making squishy frames less squishy)
The new devs are giving us powerful stuff to play around with compare to way back then. Now we are going to have Protea with a walking turret and armor strip on the go. Nezha now have an insane new augment. We got powerful supports/dps like Citrine and Dante. All that they have to do now is rework old frames so they can catch up to the new ones like Trinity, Caliban and so on.
Zones - Sure you can probably upscale, but everything in that circle would be dead before the 3rd tick (probably the 2nd) in a normal mission. It actually reminds me of the straight damage from Undertow. Auras is tough to tell. - 30% strength obviously stands out. - Shield regen can… go various ways, see Calibans 3, but often struggles to be relevant in tougher content because you have to be taking no damage to regen and shield tanks will just be running their respites and augurs to bypass the whole regen mechanic. - Damage boost - So yeah this could be incredibly good (Roar) or incredibly mid depending which of the half dozen +Damage they actually are using. Gaze - oh hey that thing everyone complains about with Ash’s 4. Also LoS checks. But yeah holding your crosshairs on each enemy for a whole second is asking to be tossed aside for a Tharros strike instead. Ultimate - Hard to tell without the numbers. See Styanax for how vulnerable (pre augment) that can make you. All things boil down to what we get in the final product but there’s a lot of clunk mixed in here that would show up fast in a non simulated environment. As Trinity goes, Jades not rocking 97.5% dr, passively zapping armour (admittedly an augment), blocking status, instant shield gate ps, and infinite energy (with that niche instakill build for the endurance crew)
Wisp and Citrine will still have a leg up on her in terms of support functionality, as they offer a few things that Jade doesn't. Wisp has a colossal damage booster with Breach Surge and depending on the calculation, may offer the better weapon DPS boost. Also, Wisp can offer multiple at the same time, while Jade can only have one active at a time. Citrine can offer energy sustain with her 1 and again, depending on damage calculations, provide a stronger DPS booster with her 4. Also, the huge DR from Citrine might be more impactful than some healing/shielding. My big issue with Jade is not the powercreep but the designcreep, particularly over Dante. The only interesting thing in Dante's kit is the way he activates most of his abilities through the invocation system, but the abilities he has are all set-it-and-forget-it, with the exception of one boring frontal cone snap-nuke. And then we get Jade who comes in with multi-deployables (You can have up to three wells, possibly allowing them to stack like Gyre and Vauban's), hotswapping auras (Unique), a gaze-directed ability, and an exalted flight. So while Dante gets to sit idle, or just spam 3-3-4 to create incredibly boring gameplay, Jade's kit looks like a total banger to play. I so wish Dante's kit had been better designed, but as it stands, Jade is going to be way better to play.
That Angel reference brought back some great memories... Thank you! It just dawned on me that people are already complaining, and she's not out yet. >_< Chroma players screeched so much they got Dante unjustly nerfed, now it'll be Trinity players. I really like Trinity; don't do this like the other degenerates did. :c
2 things i would change with jade and her weapons after playing her. 1st- Give her 1 a bit more base range. 6m is not enough and it only goes to 8.7m with stretch. 8m feels more like what its base should be. 2nd- Make her melee a polearm. Boreal's mods are really good for making her near unkillable with the 60% DR on top of the DR her 4 gives. I know why its a scythe, but i hate that i have to chose it or 20% free DR for her.
I think that her defence strip will have lots of people wanting, it not being an instant strips and not as fast as optimal greenshard corosive strip, in addition to being FOV CONE and not circular area strip, reducing its reliablity in big rooms, same goes for the slow down part, that Bombard in your back not gonna be slowed and can blast you into next week.
Don't think I've ever been this excited for a new frame, her kit is amazing and she has just the right amount of edginess with the angelic/seraphim theme. June 18th can't come soon enough.
From the looks of it, Jade being the counter to Stalker feels quite accurate. Stalker was a hodgepodge of other frames abilities, and so is Jade. I'm excited to play her and hope they don't change her kit, I just hope they power it appropriately.
Her exalted weapon. That's the big question for me. Is it classified as a primary or secondary. If she has access to secondary mods then Energizing Shot becomes very interesting. I would just forgo Energize with a shard, no vacuum and shoot orbs to get stuff back. Also, this may be the time for Coaction Drift to shine. Those 2 Aura slots. One is universal and the other is a Vazarin. That's totally DE hinting at us. USE AERODYMANIC, and whatever you want in the 2nd. Energy management will be the deciding factor. Having Primed Flow on her with flat DR with the Boreal Set, Aviator, and Aerodynamic. If the shield regen and overshields work in the same way as Protea's Satellites you could go heavy into DR and Shielding without Recharge mods and Aegis.
I am praying we won't get a Dante nerf for her because she is very obviously support focused with healing, damage up and armor strip. Its a very solid looking kit and I hope it doesn't get nerfed or overcorrected.
When you said "Yin and Yang", it immediately reminded me of how similar Jade and Equinox are on the surface. I don't think Jade looks that op because I've played Equinox for so long, and I believe they provide very similar things in the broad scope of things. I think if any frames will suffer from the release of Jade, it will be Equinox because now we have 2 true 'Jack of all Trades' and Jade is clearly the more fun/less clunky one.
Jade seems INCREDIBLY customizable, and fits a lot of playstyles. She's likely going to be a glass cannon, which would probably balance out the power of her abilities. Either way, this is a frame I'm getting soon as possible, she looks so fun
As I recall, her 3 is called "Ophanem Eyes." Ophanem is the name commonly given to the wheel-in-a-wheel covered in eyes beings that accompanied the Cherubim in the book of Ezekiel.
It is kinda insane to me that we have to guess if Aerial based powers pick and choose if it counts as actually in the Air for Aerial based mods, ie Aviator and such, instead of the very simple basic check to see if the Frame is TOUCHING THE GROUND OR ON THE WALLS IN ANY WAY
There's something about her 3rd ability that makes me a bit apprehensive. It keeps being said that the ability works by her "looking" at things. That's somewhat translating to me as "aiming at". Now I'll say I don't think that's correct as the enemies lost their armour roughly at the same time despite the aim being focused on the left one first, so it probably applies more in a cone rather than a direct aim.. But, I can't see any benefit to having to maintain looking at a downed player to revive them over just going and reviving them. (when I go to revive I'll typically use something to CC nearby enemies, even just a heavy slam can give enough breathing space to revive someone)
I like the concept of a nearly dedicated support class. Of course Warframe is still a game that largely thrives on self-sufficiency and co-opetition. I will say that her Gaze ability isn't as good for console players, because we don't have mouse-precision. So Gloom and Wryd Scythes are still going to be better slow options for us. She's going to be a beast for energy tanking though.
i suspect they will have a dante moment in order to figure out what needs to be changed and what does not as all of her abilities do seem way too powerful at this point. However, we've had frames and ability reworks in the past where it reads like they are overpowered ( or underpowered ) and when we get our hands on them, we discover that it is the opposite. Grouping and setting up tends not to work that well in pubbies nowadays, so if most of her abilities require that in order to be broken then they'll probably leave her alone for a bit longer thanks to be less strong as everyone expected
Seeing this gives me a sneaking suspicion that one day, Warframe will have a giant update that's literally bringing all the old frames up to speed with the newer ones. Equinox still needs at least some tweaks for starters. Ember, Inaros, and now Frost have already gotten tweaks.
I main Equinox, her day form is quite strong with Terrify from the helminth. Her night form really needs to give more oversheilds to be worthwhile, but it could be something as simple as a numbers tweak.
@@austinmiller2170 Oh yeah no, I like her for sure. But I really feel like there's some things that need to be tweaked. Day 4, I feel like the more kills you get while it's active could scale the immediate slash proc, bit by bit, and would also be useful to have it be akin to what Ember's 4 once was in that it is not a proc but continuous DoT (but still only slash damage and still not strong enough to really just walk around and things die, still needing to use the second part of the ability to really do damage). This is mostly for trying to deal damage to higher levels, as at some point, you're not even scratching them, barely even tickling them. Even if you got a high number, Eximus units would still be able to tank the hits unless you unleashed it. Night 4, I feel instead of just healing on release, any leftover healing would convert into overguard, giving a reason to her keeping it up for longer periods of time. High enough and it could hit Dante numbers. Possibly slight healing on kills while active too, but never any overguard from it until unleashed. Day 3, I feel like instead of Ability Strength, it gives a passive damage buff akin to Rhino's Roar, but not as strong and only applies to allies if they are within range. Once out, they lose the buff. Equinox herself gets the boost too. Night 3 can stay, though I would change the augment to instead of relying on damage done, just flat out add the slowdown, which follows along with the base ability; the closer the enemy, the more effective the ability. Their 2 can stay, though truth be told I never really used it much. Their 1, I would love it if instead of only a temporary boost when they switch, the boost they get is permanent until they switch again, so we don't have to switch over and over just to keep the boost of one. If you only need one for the mission, say Night to support or Day to kill, you don't need to swap back and forth and interrupt your 3 (and 4 if you don't have the augment on). That's my thoughts.
it only seems like power creepy because she's new she fits and doesn't take anyone's spot it's just another fun frame, it just has ability that are more powerful on those respective frames but she doesn't over step in what she borrows it's up to the players to break and make frames strong so idk
I actually can't wait for it to drop. The fact that DE releases better and better frames is rewarding for people that stay working. Can't wait to get another 100 hours of content
Did DE properly reveal the effects of Jade's weapons? I thought they said in the last devstream that the bonus effects and descriptions were placeholders from an older dev build, and we shouldn't take any of the weapon descriptions or stats at face value.
Jade seems like a jack of all trades, but without the limitation of being a master of none. She has the ability to work everywhere and doesn't seem to have a SINGLE bad ability.
Proper analysis inbound. TL;DR, Jade isn't broken, it'll be fine. Passives: Okay, these are pretty strong. But not overwhelming. Her first passive mainly offsets the forma tax of having an exalted weapon nicely, while adding a nice bit of team utility. It does mean four Jades can bring eight auras, but unless they forgot to remove any more stack underflow edge cases, that should be fine. Her second passive is just okay, damage vulnerability isn't game-defining and plenty of new frames have it. It's mainly for marking enemies to use her ult altfire. 1: This one isn't too broken. Percent heal is new and potentially very powerful, but it also has very limited field count (unlike infinite upkeep Wisp dropping heal beacons on every intercept point with spares left over for fire rate) and % is rate limited by a warframe's modded health, which usually isn't too crazy. The damage seems to hurt light enemies and barely tickle special enemies like Hollow Vein... It might be a very low amount of true damage, or it could be heat. Depends on how squishy Albrecht dogs truly are. 2: Powerful but again, still not gamebreaking. It just looks OP because poor Equinox hasn't gotten a rework. The shield aura is much weaker than Protea's grenades and can't grant infinite shieldgating at that rate, especially with no burst shielding. The strength aura is, again, just looking really good because it's on a better frame than Equinox, but Equinox and Nidus can reach higher values, I'm pretty sure. It's Growing Power x7-8 that has the potential to be more busted, if anything. Damage aura is probably nothing too crazy, just a micro Chroma for everyone, but it's not that high a value and it's almost certainly modded damage. 3: Most balanced defense strip in the game (lmao). It's not instant, so it's immediately less balance-overturning than alternatives, but it is powerful. The slow is also useful, but it's LoS based, so it's not as reliable as Gloom. The ranged res is actually its most potent feature in group play and you can't helminth that on. If it works on defense guys it might be actually the strongest part overall, in some missions. The heat procs are nice though. 4: This is where the real spice is, actually. It's an exalted that actually feels powerful and seems to be able to keep up with modern level scales, although it needs the mark to really nuke rooms. Aviator bait for sure. Jade has three main weaknesses that make her not OP, just really good. -Energy economy. We don't know how that's going to look. She has no innate way of getting energy or printing orbs. -Lack of DR. Aviator+the aura solves that in her 4, but it's not the same as having a 90% DR or overguard printer built in. She is mortal, unlike a Dante with energy supplies sufficient to spam 224 over and over. -Not very Helminth friendly. Her kit is designed to have so many interactions or powerful/desirable effects that helminthing something off is a real opportunity cost. Just like most modern warframes, you don't have a dead ability to just throw away for Nourish or Gloom or something. This is good in a sense, but it also means she can't band-aid her lack of energy sustain or survivability at zero cost to herself. Overall, good frame design. I'm wondering if she'll be able to survive harder Steel Path spawn density with no DR source built in and no infinite energy, but we do have the usual stuff (Adaptation, Dethcube, Energize, etc). Those two things alone balance her out. People just got sticker shock from her big nuke numbers and seemingly doing a bunch of different things other frames do, but it doesn't look like she can completely break the game the way Dante could.
Legitimately all Trinity needs is her link's maximum targets to be removed. Then she's a fantastic frame. She has innate staus immunity, multiple self damage reductions making her straight up unkillable with almost zero effort, a long duration aoe armor strip, damage reflex, infinite energy for her whole team, an affinity range instant cast 100% health and (more importantly) shield heal with a free dr attached. Her 1 is a free helminth slot so you don't need to change anything about that. I really don't see what the big deal is, I mean people think citrine is great, I love both, they do basically the same thing in different ways except you trade citrine's status gem (which to be fair is a really strong ability) and her cc ability for a status immunity and armor strip. They're not THAT far off from each other. Jade doesn't give move speed and attack speed like wisp, doesn't give out energy like trinity, citrine, harrow, or styanax, doesn't give out a dr like citrine or trinity, doesn't give out overguard like styanax. She's got healing, shield healing, damage vulnerability, power strength/weapon damage buff, armor strip, heavy slow, cool flying with exalted weapon. I really don't see how jade SO MUCH BETTER than characters like wisp, citrine, styanax for people to freak out about power creep. I mean wisps whole robust support package of healing, max hp increase, aoe electric procs, move speed and attack speed boost, aoe blind, huge damage multiplier is in two abilities and the only stat you care about is ability strength, she has a free helminth slot in sol gate and some tricks and extra survivability in will o wisp, and wisp is fine. Obviously wisp is powerful, one of the best warframes, but nobody is out here expecting nerfs for wisp. We haven't even seen how any of Jade's abilities scale and which parts do, it's possible her damage vulnerability doesn't scale with power strength since it's a passive. Imo people are way over reacting thinking she's broken just by seeing her in a short little test on a dev build. She's totally comparable to other modern support frames, she just has a lot of damage increasing effects that she can stack as an individual.
I am honestly less concerned with Jade eating Trinity's lunch and more concerned with Equinox falling further into obscurity. They can start buffing Equinox by letting us mod each form seperately and letting her Duality augment last 20 seconds at base.
Regarding her slow/armor strip ability, I wouldn't exactly call it a direct upgrade to Gloom (specially considering how Gloom can slow enemies from all angles, goes through walls, and can remain active for as long as you have energy for it) but it is nice to have a new helminth option for slowing enemies. I guess it is the more offensive alternative since Jade's slow sacrifices range and coverage for armorstrip.
Thing is, there are instances where you don't want full AoE slow. In Survival it kills your KPM because enemies stop coming to you. Same with Disruption. This way you can cover a defense target or demolisher without bringing the map to a standstill. Also not being a channel is HUGE. If you run Energy Nexus you have 10 Energy regen/s more than with Gloom. It'll ultimately come down to the numbers though.
I'm excited about this frame myself. A nerf coming for her, I wouldn't be shocked as it's been proven over and over that new frames do crazy stuff to the point the devs need to scale somehow. Evey frame has been nerfed at some point, hell, Limbo was nerfed because of an event.(sorry those few Limbo mains out there) As for me, I'll be spending the plat because my life is too busy. So If you see me, wait a day or two so I have a clue how this frame works myself. :D
i dont see like that, other frames can do what she does but better, her isnt the enemy %hp since the deer murmur was almost dead but the Feet was full life, so % of jade MHP is very limited. buffs are buff, but mag can restore shield way faster than jade, the power is done with mods and weapon damage is so common i think it will be serration and not eclipse type. her gaze takes a long time to remove armor, which pilage/terrify or thrax strike do way fast and larger area, and distant revive just ask nekros with augment. She will be a good support, but hardly replacing specialized frames.
I maybe in the minority here but i feel like Jade's heal will be really weak on release, most warframes who heal have something back up there healing to make health tanking reliable (wisp increases health, citrine has DR, Oberon has armor increase, Trinity has DR) so healing alone is gonna be very unreliable on warframes who aren't already running a health tanking. As for her shield regen this is of course a more reliable way of tanking that doesn't need backing up from something else but it basically has negative synergy with her 1 since healing/health don't really interact with shield. I think people are overestimating her, she can't really powercreep or even be better than wisp imo but we're gonna see.
Does any content in warframe require support frames? Her kit seems fun and updated than older support frames if anything those frames should be reworked for the current state of the game.
Jade cannonically killed Margulis so
Yeah i don't see why she should have two aura slots
I just hope these recent reworks/tweaks hit the other older frames. I really wanna use Equinox but I just don't feel like I'm doing enough with her right now.
I doubt she'll be any more power creep than Citrine and Wisp. Her healing is a limited range and she offers no form of damage reduction. Old supports such as Trinity, Oberon and Equinox suffer more from antiquated designs than bad kits. I just wish Pablo would do more smaller tweaks to bring a lot of older frames in line with modern design rather than the make reworks he's been doing.
I kinda put eyes on the shield regen, an auto Protea squad shields? Enhanced shield gating? Damn. Of course I'm just yapping, it remains to be seen.
@@devar7502 Based on the text description it's just shield regen but doesn't grant enhanced shield gate like Protea
I often play support as well (usually Octavia and Wisp) but jade will officially be my new fave support Frame.
@@steakinbacon8593 I salute you fellow support.
Jade's making me add more Suppoet Frames into my arsenal lol.
I really had my fingers crossed that she'd fit into my support tank builds that I prefer.. Might be doable with some tweaks.
Jade looks like a lot of fun, we just need content where support frames are relevant
I feel that supports kinda end being useful for endgame content if the dps frames or such can do the end gaming support that's needed from support based frames. And it would probably be a bad idea to make it where support frames are needed for certain debuffs or etc
they are amazing in deep archmeida. your teams will stay near you if you can heal them and give them energy.
2 DPS frames are going to clear it quicker than a DPS + Support frame
The 60 boss is also not relevant content lol. No one is running it
@@pearson674 Sure but DA doesn't really need that to begin with. As long as you have a weapon with a half decent build, you can do DA. Plus you can always just cheese it with a friend or something
I love modern DE. "Feck it, let's just make the game REALLY fun now."
unless fun = challenging, then not so much
Unless its so much fun that it gets nerfed to the ground
fun for DPS players 🥲
Bit of a tangent, but if anyone wants to know more about the different types of angels, there's a video by a guy named Wendigoon that goes over the types (seraphim, cherubim, angels, archangels, etc)
I quite like Wendi, and I really liked that video.
But I heard he's friends with that gun tuber, Brendan Buckingham. 😂

06:09 her 3rd ability description states that it only reduces armor, from what we've seen it doesn't reduce armor AND shields like Pillage or Tharros Strike
Pablo did explicitly say Armor AND shields, but maybe he misspoke.
its likely a reduce per second, than an instant strip/slow
@@shaunwilson3059 That is literally what they showed in the devstream, it decreases armor slowly over time while they're in range instead of removing it in one cast like Tharros, Pillage, etc.
Didn't Crush also do that? Sure, the stripping was augmented, but didn't it also take some shields..?
@@shaunwilson3059Yea it looks like it tics away their defenses while you gaze at them, so that’s actually pretty cool cus you won’t really need to build it for 100% strip.
Your intros and commentary are always comedic gold, Tater. 🤣Thank you for the short but informative video. Great work.
Trinity has needed a rework for a while anyway. She should be able to overguard at the same level Dante can, and have some sort of damage reflection.
“Glory on High” is a baller 4th ability name
Which leaves the question
will jade's weapons have an incarnon form?
(Something that has been lurking my mind but not answered)
something that would make sense since the hate despair and torment all have incarnon forms I think
So it would only make sense for the counter parts to have an incarnon form as well
Or im missing something here
Remember that Incarnon's were created to power up (normally) old and underpowered weapons.
Support yet 4th ability is hidlryn on steroids lmao.
I’m not usually hyped for support frames but I’m hyped for jade
I get that some warframes are strongers because new or bcs lore and something
Just hope they revisit older support warframes giving them a gimmick worth of playing
Well 2 auras with basicly double the mod capacity how can this not be strong
Not to mention the heals, shields, armor strip, shield strip, damage buffs, nuke potential 😊
@@TacticalPotatodid I hear aura switching? Or are they both active at once?
@@NotoriousNickNorris Auras are her 2nd ability, not the Aura mod slots, those will be active at all times.
This means she'll require very little forma to invest
and that the only thing that make her and trinity similar, she probady dont need much if any forma. like trinity.
Nerfed in 1 week after release
Bet she will be nerfed but nothing will be changed for Trinity.. buuut nice to See Something Else good as a Support then wisp.
Yeah I was gonna say she is gonna get done like Dante.
Let's be real they have literally been reworking one frame every update basically. Trinity hust has to wait her turn. We going to act like frost didn't get a soft rework.
@@jaketheman1577 yeah okey that would make sense, i would love a trinity update
There's Citrine as well
I wouldn't say it's a better gloom because of line of sight.
Trinity needs a rework
true. i destry to many keyboards per day... in other heand she make evryone importal so much that any other frame evne that angel can keep you so long imortal, most of thme just help you nto die but trinity spaming 3 and 2 well you just never die, not like my keyboard
He is muviri monster
He can make infinity radiation xd
He is good support have kinda all things, cealr and prevents, starus, heal, armor, help on respawing. Have some dmg, have some support.
Buffs he need just buffs .
And yes trinity pretty much need some mini rework, she is strong what i alywas say, but she is spam 2-4 frame her 1 is trash and 3 is boring.
They said in the devstream that the passives for her weapons have already been changed to something different
Love the quick flick of Angel from Buffy. Nice touch there 🤘
God bless and keep you and yours.
I didn't see anything about these weapons yet! That cantare passive sounds incredible, speaking as a Xayah main
I was thinking of a rework for Trinity that makes her a little bit more aggressive. Now instead of needing an enemy to cast her abilities, her abilities now work like an aura, like Lucio from Overwatch and Storm from Marvel Rivals.
Her 1st ability now constantly gives healing to nearby allies
Her second ability now constantly gives energy to nearby allies
Her 3rd ability now works with allies (maybe with lower effect).
Ally: dies
Jade: *staring intensifies*
I dont think they will allow another "dante incident" they know we want powerful warframes and lets be honest support frames are in the background rn because so many just nuke everything. I dont think they will nerf her just because they want us to play more support than nukes!
Nah day 2 nerf incoming
Meanwhile, Nova's over here struggling with regular Star Chart.
Bro Nova is strong I use her often@@TehCakeIzALie1
She's not even OP, because she can't have infinite energy or survivability, which are the two biggest sources of cheese. It'll be fine.
@@TehCakeIzALie1 Dang Nova out here catching strays
Never looked so forward to a frame since Wisp and Gauss
Id like to note that she doesnt have energy generation so your Aura mod slots are going to likely be Bond and Energy Siphion. And the "better gloom" doesnt include any health generation(a huge part of making squishy frames less squishy)
The new devs are giving us powerful stuff to play around with compare to way back then. Now we are going to have Protea with a walking turret and armor strip on the go. Nezha now have an insane new augment. We got powerful supports/dps like Citrine and Dante. All that they have to do now is rework old frames so they can catch up to the new ones like Trinity, Caliban and so on.
Hunhow: i will make you stronger with sentient power
Stalker: Give me my fking BOW back!
Halfway through the video I realized that my brain was telling me Potato's voice was coming from Pablo's mouth and it almost broke me.
But it was!
That Angel reference brought back some great memories... Thank you!
It just dawned on me that people are already complaining, and she's not out yet. >_<
Chroma players screeched so much they got Dante unjustly nerfed, now it'll be Trinity players. I really like Trinity; don't do this like the other degenerates did. :c
She does everything 😂 the start of the new Gen frames?
Feels bad for the old frames 😂
Equinox , wisp , trinity , and sevagoth in one frame. But expect her to get nerfed once the community starts using her full potential.
@@thund3r682 That would be two hours after the update, and DE is most likely to "over blance" her like Dante.
@@thund3r682 Wait, she steals health..?
2 things i would change with jade and her weapons after playing her.
1st- Give her 1 a bit more base range. 6m is not enough and it only goes to 8.7m with stretch. 8m feels more like what its base should be.
2nd- Make her melee a polearm. Boreal's mods are really good for making her near unkillable with the 60% DR on top of the DR her 4 gives. I know why its a scythe, but i hate that i have to chose it or 20% free DR for her.
I feel that spontaneous combust statement
I think that her defence strip will have lots of people wanting, it not being an instant strips and not as fast as optimal greenshard corosive strip, in addition to being FOV CONE and not circular area strip, reducing its reliablity in big rooms, same goes for the slow down part, that Bombard in your back not gonna be slowed and can blast you into next week.

People said the same thing with Harrow came out too, but I still see Trinity more than Harrow when people demand support (especially lfg tridolons).
Don't think I've ever been this excited for a new frame, her kit is amazing and she has just the right amount of edginess with the angelic/seraphim theme. June 18th can't come soon enough.
I don’t think she’s edgy at all, quite the opposite in my opinion.
Oooh~ Thanks for the info.
Love the new jiggy intro music 😅
As I recall, her 3 is called "Ophanem Eyes." Ophanem is the name commonly given to the wheel-in-a-wheel covered in eyes beings that accompanied the Cherubim in the book of Ezekiel.
Oh that's awesome. I love her theme
We've seen this before....spoiler alert: She's getting nerfed.
So so nerfed already. DE hate there players having any type of fun.
Just looking at the videos on her makes me think this will be my main warframe
I didn't care about her abilities all i herd was seraphim themed warframe and i was sold lmao but now that we know what she can do she sounds fun asf
(when I go to revive I'll typically use something to CC nearby enemies, even just a heavy slam can give enough breathing space to revive someone)
she is definitely an interesting frame, and if i had to guess, shes gonna get some changes before she comes out
As a trinity main myself I am very sad...but equally excited for Jade by my namesake.
We out here giving the enemies the Care Bear Stare
Im hoping they dont nerf her into the ground just because they other frames are lackluster.
idk about nerfs buffs, she looks amazing and i'm just going to fly around with her. Titania is not fun to fly with since its just archwing
Tato that's 2 videos in a row my ears have burst thx

Serious about feedback. Maybe my audio needs tweaking?
@TacticalPotato The outro is louder than the rest of the video. It caught me by surprise, too! 😅
Must have watched the same video then because i also remember being jumped scared by suddenly loud outro music a fewdays ago
Hope all is feckin well with your family.
it only seems like power creepy because she's new she fits and doesn't take anyone's spot it's just another fun frame, it just has ability that are more powerful on those respective frames but she doesn't over step in what she borrows it's up to the players to break and make frames strong so idk
I actually can't wait for it to drop. The fact that DE releases better and better frames is rewarding for people that stay working. Can't wait to get another 100 hours of content
That first ability that has enemies involuntarily twerking is pretty overpowered tbh
Hildryn (Steve's answer to Anthem's javelines) punching the air rn after seeing Jade's 4
Definitely buying her bundle day 1, I have like a shit ton of platinum
This time I'm gonna wait a few weeks before I get her.
Gotta "love" how they forgot about Trinity, everything she does can be found in arcanes or better frames :(
Proper analysis inbound.
Finally i can be the very frame i model wisp and rhino after i love angels
Let hildryn shoot her guns besides Balefire while in her 4
Legitimately all Trinity needs is her link's maximum targets to be removed.
Tbf, not to say your completely wrong bu I'm pretty sure her shield healing over heals your shield, aka, overgaurd
I stepped in a church once the building burnned down
I am honestly less concerned with Jade eating Trinity's lunch and more concerned with Equinox falling further into obscurity. They can start buffing Equinox by letting us mod each form seperately and letting her Duality augment last 20 seconds at base.
Equinox.
Support frame.
*Screams in visible confusion while dealing 7.5 million slash damage ticks.*
If anything, i think it would powercreep Nekros' Terrify. Though we still need to wait and see how expensive it is to cast.
For sure Jade will have the Dante treatment after her release. What i meant with that is after few days NERFS will go right away at her.
I kinda hope this will eventually make them remake Hildryn's 4, it's so pathetically slow it's just painful to use.
Tbh they should have made her stamdard stance a floating stance like wisp and titania since she flys
i dont see like that, other frames can do what she does but better, her isnt the enemy %hp since the deer murmur was almost dead but the Feet was full life, so % of jade MHP is very limited.
buffs are buff, but mag can restore shield way faster than jade, the power is done with mods and weapon damage is so common i think it will be serration and not eclipse type.
her gaze takes a long time to remove armor, which pilage/terrify or thrax strike do way fast and larger area, and distant revive just ask nekros with augment.
Honestly now I wanna see equinox with twin aura mods
Does any content in warframe require support frames? Her kit seems fun and updated than older support frames if anything those frames should be reworked for the current state of the game.
I mean she's support but the damage she puts out looks pretty high.
I wonder how her 4th will be to use in corridors. Did they mention if there is vertical movement like Hildryn?
Potato, her 2 is called “Power of the Seven. In Jewish transcripts there are 7 Seraphims. Pretty cool Easter egg
The thirst of power on this game is so strong.
listen Jade is bring me back
