While I appreciate the effort, as a new player I am still puzzled by by the basic idea of micro, e.g. what to achieve with it or how does it tie to macro (eg division composition, terrain, opposing forces or objectives). To me the term micro seems incredibly nebulous and I have never seen a thorough explanation of why should we send some units to some particular locations. I understand the basic combat mechanics but I am yet to find a combat guide that would actually say why should we give some specific units some specific orders. Surely there are different things to do if you are small/medium sized Italian infantry force grinding through Greece mountains, large combined infantry/tank Soviet army trying to contain initial German invasion or UK/Japan grinding each other in the jungles of southeast Asia with potential for small naval invasion behind enemy frontline. I have some ideas about what to do and what not to do (eg not pushing across rivers/into mountains if possible, focusing on unguarded supply depots/airfields if a breakthrough happens and fast divisions are available) but I would love to see a more detailed analysis of what sort of divisions should one have depending on the situation (not the damned div templates, more like eg 60% basic infantry/30% fast tanks/mechanised and the rest heavy breakthrough tanks/infantry) and what should one try to achieve given their force, opponents force, terrain and general world situation
Then you are at the right place, we have more content planned adressing most of your issues the coming weeks. Its a big question so there will be several videos about both objectives and supply and so forth. Until then i recommend our ”How to succeed in MP games”
We have a upcoming game this sunday, ig you want to be able to see it, the game will be live on twitch. www.twitch.tv/therealboppus www.twitch.tv/badgerbed www.twitch.tv/xnistan www.twitch.tv/hyggejaakob www.twitch.tv/falkius Theather stream on www.twitch.tv/hyggehoieuropa
You guys make this look so easy its frustrating, I used to have fun with this game now I cant even beat france as germany. PLEASE SOMEONE MAKE AN UPDATED GUIDE FOR US NOOBS THIS IS SO FRUSTRATING
Is there anything in particular you think is difficult? If you can mention a certain pain point or something you are uncertain of, we can try make a video of that :)
@@hyggegaming I honesty dont know what it is, I follow guides, but somehow all these guides have way more equipment than me, they can tear through France no problem with like basic Infantry templates, meanwhile I try the 21 width unit with artillery and I get stuck in the benelox region.

Bloated, tedious game with dumb and broken 'features'. HOI2 >>> HOI3 >>>>>> HOI4
I agree that HOI3 was much better than HOI4 at release in 2016. But it’s something completely different today :)
