Watching it done by someone doing it the way the rest of us would, is much more useful than some video edited to make it look good which misses out the struggle. It's so important to see the difficult parts, then it makes it easy for us ordinary folk to tackle. Well done that man, and thank you.
I only do mine on a tyre machine to avoid the damage you did to the rim finish which would cost more to fix than paying a shop to mount the tyre in the first place. If I didnt have a machine I would pay.
Yep, it's getting the old tyre off that's the real problem, the rim protectors don't help here. Quite like the idea of getting a lever with nylon rollers / ball and a frame.
Its really nice to make it by yourself, but scratching the rims inside is not so nice, maybe deinstalling the the tires and bringing them to a workshop is not so expensive? They make it much more professional without scratches. Just my 2Cents.
