The thing that made me love the black toe lows enough to cop them for the toe was how it reminds of my old loves from the new/old love Jordan 1 mid two pack from back in the day. I was driven by nostalgia from the color blocking, and even the black tongue & red laces were reminiscent of the old loves
Got 2 of these, and already put white laces on the one I’m using. Thinking about coloring the tongue white too, but not in a hurry to do that. I also wish they didn’t do the matte red, but I’m not mad at it. I had the retro low from a few years ago, and I’m just glad this colorway finally came out in the OG cut.

My homeboy customized his black toe lows by putting the Angelis Matte Finisher on it. They look DOPE. I agree, the white tongue with the white tag and black text would have been better as well as the OG swoosh.
I’m not gonna lie, I’m late to the 1 low OG party. 1 highs and mids fit me so bad I kinda just stopped checking for any 1s. Then I won a pair of TS lows and they fit great so I’ve been trying to stock up on 1 low OGs because they actually fit me good and are so easy to style.
Yeah the black toes are definitely in my sneaker of the year contender and my dark powder blue is one of the ones that I've been wearing heavily lately especially through the summer but the Mystic Navy, Starfish,Bleached Coral and the neutral gray are ones that I've been wearing a lot also... I had the Chicago's, Shadows and the Royal Blues I bought them from a sneaker store that was going out of business in like 2016 and I got them all for like super cheap I think I paid like $100 a piece for them and I held onto them for like a year or so and got rid of them and then the price just blew up on all of them...I would say its one of my biggest sneaker regrets of all time
I'm kind of hesitant to get j1 lows because I have dunk lows and they're similar enough sillhouettes to me, but I still do like them. I'm not a huge sneaker collector btw so that's just my opinion but I still do want a pair of 1 lows eventually.

I was kind of thinking that this sneaker wasn't going to go up in value even in a couple years cuz of how high the stock numbers were but if you think about it they released more lost and founds then they did this sneaker and that one's still holding steady around $400 so I could see this shoe in a couple years potentially being up over 300
TOTALLY didn’t (hesitate to) triple up 😅🤫 Honestly prefer the black tongue, to my knowledge closer to the actual OG high PE MJ wore before they added the wings logo, and I like the contrast!

The lows look so good with jeans. The black toe are so dope and I agree will go up in value. I think the black tongue looks better than white, OG or not. Only issue with my mystic is one pair was bad QC but those I will rock 1st then keep the better ones for later. I feel the mystic navy goes with more of my fits. When they started releasing those Jordan 1 lows not in the OG cut the ones with the Jumpman on the tongue I was picking up every colorway cuz retail was only 90 bucks and as of right now I have 2 deadstock pairs of the black toes 2 deadstock pairs of the shattered backboards and 2 deadstock pairs of the shadows and all of them are between 250 and 350 dollars buy people dont really like that version but I have a pair of each that I wear on the the regular
I’m new to the 1’s never been a fan my first pair was this yr & they was the wrong color but they looked good so I Kept them & ion see nobody with em they look so good on feet I had to grab these
I believe jb will reserve the og build of this color blocking, with 8 lace holes, slimmer toe box, white tongue, high quality leather and large og swoosh for the “85” low. They will make us pay a premium price and we definitely will. As for this current iteration, they’re good enough for me to triple up, and I will wear all three pairs, eventually. These are my #1 sneakers of the year and I don’t really care what else is releasing I’m good.

I saw these in-store for exactly one day, and the quality was really nice on them. Ultimately passed on them though, because if I'm looking for a low top sneaker, there's other options out there that fit my style better, both within Nike and without.

The 4:34 red leather is more of a matte finish just like the Mystic Navy’s.
