- Hello friends and welcome back to another video. Today I am showing you how to remove those nasty polished centre links on your watch bracelet, and how to rebrush your bracelet and case to remove scratches and give the watch an all brushed look, using a household scotch brite pad!

Wouldn’t try this on my Christopher Ward quite yet but happy with the results on some of my watches
I had scratched up a Tissot gentleman and used the scotchbrite trick, amazing how well it works.
Yeah I got a good scratch on my Christopher Ward, I did this on the clasp of it and cleaned it up nicely the scratch is on the side of the case as well that has a high polish chamfeur that I don’t want to ruin, so it’s going to be very tricky to get out unfortunately
This is one thing I've never tried before. I might have to try it out

@@GigisCreation it doesn’t do a perfect job but it works pretty good imo, try your best to go in as straight a line as you can
Hot tip to finish off soak the ScothBrite with soap and water soap and water 😊😊😊
So use the soap and water scotch brite pad on the watch again after is that what you mean?

Works good, but try it on a watch you don’t particularly care if you screw it up but it’s pretty easy just make sure to brush in straight line, as I mention in video I’m sure there is a better way but this has worked good for me

Cool information, lots of my watch bands have desk rash since I’m stuck every day doing log books/shift reports/indecent reports/etc just way to many reports 😂

I have used fine sponge sanders from amazon too on my seiko to restore the look I use 1000 to 2000 grit and some times finish with 3000-3500 grit for high polish I use Flitz metal polish, cream now

Learned about products on forums and my own experience
Now I restore even on vacay
Just polish as straight as possible
You will be pleased
One more tip I use Flitz only to restore shine polish and not with sanders with a eye glass cloth
Oof Chris, sorry to hear you scratched your SNZG. I know how much you love that watch. Did you just bang your hand against something while wearing it?
Also, this is interesting. I always thought you would need some kind of paste in conjunction with the pad to do this. I'd guess that if you wanted a more uniform result, especially for the case sides, you'd need to take the watch apart or at least remove the bezel and the crown, to make sure you can apply pressure evenly. But you are right, the end result does look better than the polished version.
I was working on something underneath a Zamboni machine at work when I scuffed up my snzg however, fortunately, I was able to get out the scratch on the bezel, at least to a point where you couldn’t readily identify it. Also, I got a good sized nick on my Zelos you gave me :( not a huge mark you have to look to find it but being its titanium I’m not even trying this on that one
@@MirrlyonTime Heh, I also dinged up the tachymeter bezel on my speedy. I really don't mind scuffing my watches. They are supposed to be worn and that means dings happen:)
@@AnCar88 yeah I hear ya, but I hate them! I gotta good little ding on my CW that broke my heart bugs me every time I wear it. Like a hardwood floor I guess I gotta get more before the “character”’sets in
for scratches on mineral crystal, is there any way to remove them
On a mineral crystal there may be a poly watch for that, that’s what the product is called poly watch, it removes scratches from acrylic crystal but I did recall seeing a RUclips video on a mineral crystal version of it? No 100 percent but something to check out

I don't think I would do this. I have used Cape Cod on a spot or two. But, I would not do this to any of my watches. Cheers!!!
That’s why I started with my paganis lol, what’s the worse that could happen with them haha. I was able to fix that scuff on my Seiko bezel so I am pleased, now I just gotta get a cape cod cloth to buff out the side case or just brush it to match the bracelet
I noticed i had a scratch on my sapphire crystal, so i tried this on it, lol jk
