Sublime. Catherine is, to my sensitivities, perhaps the finest living piper on this planet; and let's not forget her equally wonderful whistle playing. Thanks for this collaborative gem.
So lovely to see a new video from you! You have such a unique and sublime voice that the world needs- keep playing and growing in song, production and video. Such a gift and warm spirit needs to be shared.
@@cheefussmith9380 Good for you.we need to laugh atm.Iused to live with my Sis who like traditional music and their where always parties at our house with people singing and playing all sort of instruments. One night one of her friends started to play the Irish pipes and it blow me away. I am adopted and found out a while latter my natural Mother is Irish. The sound of the pipes were calling me even when I did not know my roots. Keep on joking mate.
@@anthonyhoward4743 wow, that’s wild. I live in the US, but I was born in Ireland. Everybody seems to love irish music but it really does make you homesick. You should visit some day, maybe even connect with relatives, assuming you’d be into that of course (none of my business)😀
From France, thank you Catherine! France is not so interested about its Celtic origins (and French Brittany had always been kind of black sheep from Paris vision). England is so much more opened about that, it's my pleasure to hear your music each time! As we say in Brittany: gant ma gwellañ hetoù a levenez (all my best wishes)...
This is incredible. I watched another of the videos from 7 years ago - first time I saw these pipes could play another chord in another drone(?) using the wrist! That second harmony made my eyes water and sent shivers down my spine first time I heard it. And the playing here is just stellar, what skill. You dont get to this level without loving it. I love hearing bagpipes. But these Uillean pipes are quite amazing. Though it does appear they are bit more complex, and appears to be harder with the extra hardware. Very beautiful music
Absolutely love your music. Needs a proper recording studio. This sounded great but we need the highest quality recordings of everything you can play. Please!
Lovely stuff Catherine who made your pipes? the Taylor/Egan syle keys are intriguing, especially in the North of England. However it is all so wonderful
@@catherineashcroft4528 Aaah, still the G. Galloway set then? I really admire (and also envy) you Catherine. I play too , but not like you. When I was young it was next to impossible to even find a playable set , a decent reed or tuition. I gave up twice and reverted to Celtic guitar and song, but, now , once again, wailing doggedly on and steadfastly heading backwards with my Celtic guitar playing and singing (!) , I do hope to achieve the status of a "gentleman piper" before I pop my clogs. Keep up the good work, Catherine, and fair play to you. :-))

The organ is a good support instrument for the uilleann pipes.

Hi Catherine. Well played and beautifully in tune. Are those a new set?
THANKYOU! No they are around ten years old but newly reeded by Steven Johnston and they are playing great.
