The patience required is amazing but I can envision a larger size in a garden with Sweet peas growing in the spindles. What a compliment to the original creator!
I loved your video. I have a wagon wheel that was part of a planter, unfortunally the planter box rotted away. If my husband was alive he would had made a new box. I revarnished it and want to stand it up behind my big rosebush out in the front yard. How do I support it so it doesn't fall over in the winds? And so no one can walk off with it. The wheel is in good shape and I measured it to be 37" across. I love it.
You did a great job. I don`t have all these elektrical tools you are using and so my wheels are looking a little bit easier. But the main thing is FUN in doing this.
Looks nice. Except- - the felloes that make the rim (usually 2 spokes each) had grain that followed the rim. Either make a lot of rings and select, or (as I do) clamp strips together and then turn. You can get ~ four sets from a single clamped circle. -spokes were not circular, especially at the nave (hub). - it looks like your spokes are axial (nave mortices and felloes in the same plane). There was a gap between these planes- often substantial.
thanks for watching, sorry, don't have the wheel any longer, it was given away as a gift, the wheel was scaled, if you can find a 46" wagon wheel picture or dwg on the internet you should be able to scale the hub.
@@fromthewoodpile8248 woww brilliant thanks brother I want to make our royal golden jubilee carriage of Queen Elizabeth that I have already made before using coffee stirrers then covered in epoxy resin first then covered in real gold leaf 24 karat gold
Thanks Kenny, and have fun with the canon, that should be a great project. I have an 24 hole indexer built into my Vicmarc Lathe. I've seen home made indexers on you tube that can do the job if a lathe does come with an indexer
Hi Kenny, the drill attachment is from Oneway Tools, I did a short review of the Oneway Drill Wizard, here's a link to my video and following that is a link to the Oneway Website for their drill wizard. Let me know how you make out with your project. studio.ruclips.net/user/videoBLqamgoL_OQ/edit/basic oneway.ca/index.php?route=product/search&search=drill%20wizard
merhaba yapmış olduğunuz tekerlek tam yapmak istediğim gibi bana çok ilham verdi amatörce elimden geldiği kadarıyla hobi işleriyle zaman geçiriyorum ortadaki göbeğe 12 adet delik delerken çatlıyor çünkü delikler çok sık olduğun dan sizin kullandığınız ahşap özel bir ahşap mı acaba şimdiden yardımlarınızdan dolayı teşekkür ediyorum yeni videolarınızı bekliyorum severek izliyorum TR
Not bad but not authentic. The spokes would never be round on a wheel destined for the wagon it was supposedly made for. You have 3 spokes to a fellow when there are only ever two. No dish.
Good catch on the steel ring!
You saw that! it was lucky
Extraordinario 👏👏👏🤗🇨🇱
This was so intricate. A perfect "Mini me".
Thanks Steph
Beautiful - quite beautiful.
Thank you! Cheers!
Perfect. congratulations.
Thank you very much!
Nice work. Very intricate
Thank you very much!
Estos trabajos son de artistas con paciencia y amor al trabajo artesanal
Very cool project. Love the blend of wood and metal, looks like the real thing! Great job.
Thanks AT!

That wheel is adorable. Now you need a wagon and three more. haha.
Thanks so much, yeah you're right, I'd better get busy

Great work. what are the dimensions of the hub, please?

I want 20 wheels like this,
That is a bigger job than making a real one.
LOL, thanks for watching
Fantastic love it how wide is the wheel across in inches
Hello Reality Artist, thanks for watching, the wheel is about five inches in diameter

Great workmanship, getting ready to make some for a canon. What type of index plate do you use when drilling the spoke holes?
Thanks Kenny, and have fun with the canon, that should be a great project. I have an 24 hole indexer built into my Vicmarc Lathe. I've seen home made indexers on you tube that can do the job if a lathe does come with an indexer
Also, where on earth did you find a drill attachment for the tool rest? I've looked around with no luck. Thanks!

Terrific job! Are you now tempted to make the rest of the wagon?
That would be cool, but a lot of work, I'll have to think about it, thanks so much for watching!
How much would you charge to make me a pair of these about 6inch diameter. I'm making some mini cannons
Hello Core, feel free to send me an email, see About on my you tube channel
Do you sell it? I need 2 big and 2 little for a 1:12 stage coach model .... contact me for budget, please, i am in Spain.
Thanks for watching, sorry, don't sell these items
