- An estimated 41,000 Americans are affected by a neuro-degenerative disorder called Huntington‘s disease, and more than 200,000 are at risk of inheriting the disease according to the Huntington’s Disease Society of America.
There isn’t any treatment for it. My mother and aunt had it. My brother currently has it, and I may or may not have it. I wouldn’t wish this disease on my worst enemy. It’s like your body and mind are rotting away slowly. The messed up part is that you’re still aware of it happening, and there is absolutely nothing you can do about it. Every month gets a little worse, a little harder, a little less like yourself. Until eventually all that remains is a husk of what you used to be.
There is a treatment clioquinol
It's like multiple sclerosis
@@orbitingdecay6797 your head is pooping ma ginger

@@orbitingdecay6797 You should get tested, unless you already know the hallmark signs of it?

@@DeplorableLegendthere will be treatment soon. It's like all neuro diseases you just need to get on with it. It's not strictly true many don't know they have HD they aren't aware of symptoms.
@@orbitingdecay6797 If you have been around people your whole life who have had it, you will certainly know if you have it or not without needing to get tested, unless it’s the very early stages of the disease.
