- Orient Electric has launched the Cloud 3, a fan that can bring room temperatures down by 12 degrees!
Dhruv Mohan got an opportunity to experience it. It comes with a water tank that can cool your room for up to 8 hours.

In humid areas like Kerala adding water, at room temperature or warmer, will add to discomfort. Only ice cubes will help.

Those would be ideal for outdoors, and indoors during dry heat, if you keep the windows open. But they’re not ideal indoors during humid weather, and will make the air in your home really wet

Dear sir these water particles will increase the humidity of the room as a result the room temperature will rise. Yes if you sit in front of the fan then you might feel cold due to air flow and water particles spary. I

basic 5 th std physics in humid place introducing water droplets in the air does not cool or bring down temp. This contraption is useless if you are in any costal area. Best for dry region. In dry area addition of water help in cooling as water takes latent heat and evaporates hence cooling the enclosed space.

Well it'll only create more humidity if installed in closed rooms.
This is nothing but a glamorous version of a Desert Cooler which people have been using in their homes for a long time. But these products don't work in places which have high humidity like West Bengal, Kerala, Chennnai, Orissa, etc.
In West Bengal, humidity is around 80%, which increases to 90% after short downpours. So we can't use these. These can only be used at places which have dry heat (like Nagpur)
Environmental friendly should be the priority ❤

Most people run humidifiers anyways 🤷♂️ Seems like an added benefit. High humidity is healthier than dry environments. (40-60% humidity) Electronics heat waste and air flow tend to lower your house humidity compared to outdoors.

Avoid any type of machine(ac/cooler/ fan etc) where water is used...because the water that evaporates and mixes with the air & prolonged use may lead to water accumulation in the lungs.

This is not suitable for any costal state or city like kolkata Mumbai etc where climate is full of moisture or humidity . But in those places where climate is dry , there this type of fan or cooler is suitable for use.

This fan will only work in places where RH is below 50% and also in open spaces only. It cannot be used indoors, as shown because the humidity levels will go up and comfort levels will deteriorate sharply.

Evaporative cooling works only in areas of low humidity. Useless in coastal areas and the water spray will increase humidity making you feel hotter.

So a cooler. Instead of evaporative cooling it sprinkles water. And would cause the room to get more humid. Not a good solution for humid areas
Bhai cooler is cheaper and if you buy local you get more features for less price. I have a cooler that cost ₹7500 it cool 15 x 20 room easily. You can buy coolers starting from ₹ 2000. For ₹3000 you get big cooler good for your bedroom.
