  • aliko dangote refinery - Billionaire Aliko Dangote Chilling Revelation - "Says Oil Industry Mafia Stronger Than Drug Cartels" -It's easy to assume that everyone in Africa would champion the continent's self-reliance and support local production and manufacturing. However, reality paints a different picture. Aliko Dangote, founder of the Dangote Group, has exposed startling obstacles faced while constructing his $19 billion refinery project in Lagos. He accused powerful local and international criminal syndicates of trying to sabotage the ambitious endeavor. Speaking at the Afreximbank Annual Meetings, Dangote likened these challenges to fighting a formidable mafia, one he asserted is even more powerful than infamous drug cartels.
Africa's wealthiest industrial tycoon, renowned for his unyielding determination, recounted the relentless tactics deployed by these "oil mafia" organizations to thwart his refinery project.
Aliko Dangote compared oil cartels to a mafia stronger than drug cartels, determined to maintain control over the industry. He revealed that these groups used various tactics to try to stop his refinery project. Despite these challenges and attempts by some international banks to push his project into loan default during the COVID pandemic, support from banks like Afreximbank helped him persevere. Dangote, describing himself as a lifelong fighter, emphasized his resilience in overcoming these obstacles.
Dangote revealed he has already repaid $2.4 billion of the $5.5 billion borrowed for his ambitious Lagos-based refinery. He also announced plans to diversify into the steel sector, aiming to achieve self-sufficiency with Nigerian-produced steel.

He spilled it. The problems is not coming from outside. It’s coming from within. Our politicians are in cahoots with these interest groups so after the dwindling the resources of Nigeria from the west to impoverish Nigerian and African as a whole, but thank God some African are waking up to this reality. Dangote doesn’t know the power he’s got. If I were him I’ll take care of this opposition, trust me.

The manufacturing sector in the U.S. was dismantled in the 1970s-1980s. Our Congress helped our manufacturing companies shut down factories in the U.S. and relocate them in Mexico and other Central American countries. Also China was opening up and American companies used their workers because of the low wages they were able to pay them. The U.S. hasn’t had a manufacturing sector in decades. Our leaders made sure of it. They sold out the American workers for their own greed and to help the corporations that give them campaign contributions.

And of course you watched all these happening, enjoyed the 'easy money' repeatedly voted them back to power and gave them titles like "Hawks" and listened to them when they tell you The Chinese lave taken your jobs. In short, you enjoyed the show, which is all what your politics is about!

Will he still remain the richest in Africa if nigeria breaks up? Ntoooooo. The fulani cabals in the government gave him the monopoly of everything and used him to loot. Now that the Biafrans are breaking away, and the yorubas too wants to break away, what will be his faith in nigeria?

Are you in your right mind? Countries are coming together to protect one another, and you are planning to break up yours because of petty tribal mindsets? That is the worst 'internal disease', That makes us Africans so easy to manipulate! What do you think those Secrete Services like CIA, MI6 etc do before they launch an 'invasion' on us (try to read how Patrice Limumba of DRC was assassinated)? They look for the 'cracks'! And the most obvious one is the 'enmity' between the Tribes! Does it surprise you that Islamic terrorist like Boko Haram are associated with certain ethnic groups and that their sponsors come from abroad? Where do they get their arms, when they obviously cannot make them themselves? If we in Africa could transfer this dumb allegiance we have for the Tribe to the country, we will be truly great!
