As a japasene Buffaloes fan I didn’t worried even after his last game. I knew he never makes the same mistake twice. I really hope he has successful seasons in MLB.
It is very sickening to see hate-comments saying that Ohtani is overrated. He is a human being. At this moment, it is even strange that he is mentally okay and playing on the field after being betrayed by an interpreter he trusted for so many years. I believe that in the future he will make plays like Yamamoto did today that will silence the anti's.

NPB schedule is easier than MLB so good pitchers tend to do it sometimes when things are going well.

It was an absolute gem of watching this guy tonight. Season is young but with how good Glasgow miller and now Yamamoto have looked, we might have a trio of aces for the next 5 years
Now if only we had a better bullpen, but I guess we can't have it all.

But when you say he only pitched 5 innings, thats what baseball has turned into, much to my chagrin. But also, after the 4th there was a 45 minute rain delay. Really glad Mookie gave his all to catch those ground balls and got the outs for Yoshinobu, especially with Muncy's lower defense level at third. If he had given up on chasing those balls, with runners on base, Yoshinobu might have given up some runs.
An example of why you shouldn't judge too early. Or simply an example of people finding excuses to hate on the dodgers. Yamamoto just made people hold his beer.

he walked the first guy on pitches that weren’t close. He hit the next batter areando immediately. He should have never been in but at that point I thought the camera were gonna point to the bullpen and I was gonna see someone warming up.. nope it took 5 runs and another 6 batters for Kelly to be out of the game in a game the dodgers were winning 2-0 when the inning started and Kelly came in
When he gave up 2 I was yelling to Doc to take him out!!! But Doc is already in post season form
