Thank you! This is definitely on my DIY list if/when I get an Ami. I just had an idea: as both doors are the same, is it possible to make the charging cable come out of the driver's door frame instead? I think it would be more convenient not having to go around and open the other door. I guess kerb side connection can be another pro argument in UK. While kerb side connection is an argument against for me in Norway. Maybe it's possible to have a switch to select input on either side (you wouldn't want them just in parallel, with exposed live pins.
A very good idea I think, I have in my amazon basket from your link here, the adaptor - can I ask what size socket is on the extension lead? It's not too clear on here, maybe just a plain 1 gang extension socket is enough? Thanks again, Andy.
i leave the cable in too. I ain't got the strength in my fingers (reuma) to get the thing unconnected so this would be a soltution if i can find something like that for dutch electric. How did you get that box to put in the hole?
Hello great idea and video i have only charged my Ami 3 times and this is a great idea, would i be able to find an EU socket on the output ie EU to EU ? ..... ! if not i will have to buy a UK plug i am going tosearch and order parts now !. i have a 3D printer comming in a couple of days so i am saving this file !!!! Thank you for the video again... !😊
All of your actions are in de far left corner of the picture, which does not show exactly what you are doing. No close-ups of the adaptors 😢 I am interested but cannot understand what you mean (speech also not clear).
This looks really handy! Thanks for the files!
No problem!

I don't see any problem moving the position of the the cable, you would have to move the box and reroute the cable.

it is a single trailing socket amzn.to/3kQvfRc or you can use one already made like this amzn.to/40bjEwl
@@GicaPhp Absolutely spot on, thank you.

The box was a 3d printed 2 piece adapter which just clips in the slot. I will be doing on for the EU plug as well next week and post the files

there must be a eu to eu socket, but you might have to modify the stl file acordingly
Hmm, does the coiled wire inside caouse no issues? Would it not be safer to shorten the cable inside?
over 1000 miles so far, no issue.

I am sorry to disappoint you. You can find the adaptor and 3d printed disappointpart in the description of the video.
