I had never envisioned the Maslanka as a marching show. Worked brilliantly - awesome arrangement! The only thing that would make this better is if it were Boston Crusaders 2022.
The first two and a half minutes of this show makes me so happy. It's beyond tight for this early in the season and the music is precise and balanced. The whole show is awesome but that entry is just exciting.
this program really has some legs underneath it! I love hearing the music of David Maslanka outside. This color guard is serving me everything that I need! very strong showing for the first night out!!! great job cadets... I mean Boston crusaders lol jk
I hope they win this year just to show you don't need all of that to do well and win, hopefully show designers start showing creativity and directors start having faith in their performers again.
@@Gqwad there’s a few, Blue Coats are using a lot of electronics and not the brass line (less than half the show), I think SCV is doing a lot of pre-recorded/electronic stuff. Maybe pre-recorded is hyperbolic, but I timed 3 or 4 shows whose ensemble brass play less than half of the show length.
The visuals and the colorguard are by far my favorite. I have not seen any dci show this year yet where the entire flag line did a roll under a toss or every rifle did a double turnaround under a 7. While crown and blue devils may have good brass, no one’s colorguard even comes close to Boston.

I’d say that this is the best thing I’ve seen Boston do in the few short years I’ve watched dci and that I’m glad they’re one of the four corps that could make a mad dash for the win, but I don’t know why I’d do that on a video that isn’t of them performing.
A very balanced and clean show. Amazing color guard. Love the full, deep sound. A few glitches with the audio. Need to kick up the volume of the baritone solo and the concertina a bit
Truthfully, it wasn't a great run for Boston. I've seen them in rehearsal and they had some awesome run-throughs, but this one fell short. I wasn't surprised by the difference in score.
Well, this dish (for me personally) was quite poorly arranged... however! This was still an incredibly difficult and technical dish. And while the flavor of the macaroons weren't for me, I must say that this was still one perfectly executed dish in every aspect, from the presentation to the taste itself. Hats off to the chefs on this one. I hope they go on to win Hell's Kitchen, and if not, at least be awarded runner-up.
Ngl when I saw Boston Crusaders in the top 3 for 7/17 and 7/18 I was kinda surprised. Now that I've seen the show I can honestly seeing this being a medal contender this year. Looks like bluecoats have something other than the devil's to worry about this year.
This is a great year for BAC. They just keep getting better. Could easily be within top 4. I feel they need to push the envelope and take more risks though to win a championship.
They represent different things throughout the show. I.e when the colorguard are coating it with colors I think it’s meant to be the fallen angels building pandemonium.
I’m so sad this isn’t Boston 2022 I really wanted to see that show
the silver lining is that for the low low price of just 30 dollars a month you can have unlimited access to that show with a flomarching subscription!

Their solo mics were all screwed up. They had to do a factory reset on the board right before they started due to issues
@@DennisOBrien1 that really sucks. It was much better in Quincy, although I still couldn't hear the vocals just before the concertina

They 100% deserved at least general effect over coats, and their guard was the cleanest all night. Interesting choice by the judges for sure.

There was a problem with the audio. Can barely hear the baritone and can't hear the concertina at all. They fixed that in Quincy.
