Not a Pompy fan but think you lot could be a dark horse next season.
A lot of work to be done on recruitment, but I hope so 🔵⚽️🔵
Awesome
Love your shows bud as its always good to hear anything pompey f.c are you on Spotify?🙏🏻👍🏻💙
We sure are @robb256 - here's the link open.spotify.com/show/2DGy62FdxqYpsJMNHY5usZ
@@pompeypod yeah I tried the link mate , I didn't realise that I was already subscribed, to it must of been when ,can I ask how did you start doing podcasts and were you bricking it when you first stated as I'm thinking about doing a pompey one but in a better format maybe, that's not serious, but I enjoy your podcast keep up the good work matey 🙏🏻👍🏻💙
@@robb526 🤣🤣 Backhanded compliment - "better format" "Keep up the good work"
All you need is a decent Mic, video studio software (if you're doing vid), or just a sound recorder if not, then sign up to a distributer like Acast or Buzzsprout
@@pompeypod lol, enjoy the banter with you mate , but being honest your podcast is awesome 👌 👍🏻👍🏻💙
He's linked with Millwall as well Matt Ritchie
I'd be very surprised if he comes to Pompey
Should get marcondes, sunjic and jed wallace in
Wallace will be too rich for us and I'm not sure he suits JMs style, unless he is used as a 10. Sunjic would certainly make us more combative, bur at 18k/week he'd be very top end of our wage budget, same with Marcondes, plus I'd rather have Robbo back for less money.
Out of those I think only Evans stands a chance at happening. Some I would be interested in seeing happen
Harrison Burrows - I'd like to see happen but I think we'd be priced out, especially with rumours of PL Brentford being interested.
Rak-Sakyi - I think is possible again not holding breath rumours are Millwall and Leicester are in for him.
Abu Kamara - We can all hope right?
Ethan Laird - If Birmingham are willing to shift him (and we can afford him). I think it's a transfer that makes a lot of sense. He's a young talented RB who did well last season in the championship.
After Rafferty's departure we need a RB and I think he fits the transfer strategy we go for. He joined Birmingham last year with the aim of being in a top half championship team, was quite frustrated by the team performance and relegation. So I think if the offer came in he would be open for it, particularly with the club vision.
Laird could be a good shout, but will he cost more than the £750k that Brum paid for him? If so, that could be a blocker.
@@pompeypod almost certainly I suspect. He's contracted until 2026 I believe and there's also apparently a sell on clause from Man Utd. That said he almost certainly will be wanting to be play championship football again, so there could be a lot of pressure from him to move.
An Alternative unlikely scenario, they could look to loan him up. It keeps him happy and at the club, playing and developing at a high level and they retain control of him to hopefully use in their return to the championship in the 25/26 season (promotion pending ofc).
I want Wallace Back
Jed? I can't see that happening this summer tbh
@@pompeypod he’s not going to be playing much for West Brom
@@pompeypod I think Wallace is realistic we’ve been linked with players on a lot more money, just pay the money and he will come, he’s Pompey through and through and West Brom will be playing the other Right midfielder anyway
@@JoshuaGrunge2000 he's their club captain, played 42 times last season, mostly through the middle. Plus, I can't see us paying him £23k per week, plus a fee.
@@pompeypod Well if they can’t play 23k a week for Wallace mate, why are they going to pay 25k a week for Lowe? I just don’t get it, I guess the plane was right eisners have no ambition, on paper are squad is very mediocre, it’s only because Mousinho’s genuis we won the league, we need to get the signings in to compete with the big boys in the league, I don’t want that system of loads of loans and Free’s I want the real thing.
🤣
You'll be lucky to stay up
Mousinho gone after 10 games 😂😂😂😂😂
Hilarious. What team are you, Mr funny AF Anon?
@@pompeypod just sn opinion, wernt great last year, think you'll struggle as would any team going up,then you'll panic
@lpe1000 which club would sack their manater after 10 games when he has just taken them up? It may be an opinion, but your opinion is either trolling or you are thick AF! I'm going for both.
What do you mean weren't great last year? Do you live on the moon??
@@lpe1000great detail there, wasn’t great last year and wasn’t just an opinion as you ended it with 😂😂😂😂 go away dick head
Only two I would take currently are Evans and Murphy.
Both good shouts. Looks likely that Murphy will stay at Oxford though.
Have you heard any other names rumoured that you'd be keen for us to sign?
@@pompeypodI would personally look at top end league 1 players who fit in our business model.
@@matthills22 I suspect that will be part of the plan. Mostly top end L1, 1 or 2 younger players with potential from L1/L2, a few frees with championship experience, plus 3 or 4 loans.
