I've said this for a while now. People don't realize that their opinion of NK is based off what they're told by the same people who tell you to hate Russia, China, Iran, Syria, Palestine, Libya etc. Decolonize your minds folks
With the advent of social media, I’m starting to have a lot more understanding and respect for the people I’ve been told to hate by the American media
I grew up in South Korea. While NK supporting Palestine is a good thing, supporting NK isn’t a good idea. Regardless of how NK ended up the way it did, they still oppress and starve their people. They don’t allow any kind of intellectual freedom and the Kim family is literally worshipped there; they’re not just honored. We had a North Korean refugee come to our school and I asked her what religion was like there. She said the churches there are fake just to make it seem like they’re Christians, and that their entire religion is the Kim family. Same with the farms and farm houses that you can see from the other side of the border, all props. It’s not colonized thinking, that’s just how it is. To support NK is to support oppression.
Muslim Central you need to understand this. Just because NK might have ended up the way it did unjustly, doesn’t mean it’s ok to support them. It’s not a narrative by the “colonized mind”, their country starves their people and forces their people to worship the Kim family. Any deviation from that is punished.
@@wuzup789able Yeah. We've all heard this same story again and again. While I don't deny its veracity, I don't have to accept it blindly either. It's time we look into it critically ourselves. Even defectors who have been in the spotlight, such as Yeonmi Park, have been shown to make stuff up and contradict their own stories. But still, she's being given a platform by the people who want us to hate NK. Life is obviously different in NK, especially due to sanctions, but that does not necessarily mean that we need to ostracise them for how they do things over there. And we certainly need no propagandist to tell us what to think. So, no thanks for repeating the same old record from the same lying record artist

The oppression they went through from Israel wouldn’t give them the right to oppress their people. That’s basically what the guy in the video is saying about NK. And like I said, if they support the liberation of Palestine, good. But that doesn’t give them the right to oppress their citizens.
And please, and I mean this honestly, can you please give me a legitimate source that explains and proves that the situation in North Korea is not actually what the world thinks it is.
Also, China is being oppressed by their own people, just like NK. It’s not similar to the Palestine situation at all. You can look up the crazy tech China has implemented to track their people and control everything they do. They don’t even have freedom on the internet. And it’s not propagandists saying that, it’s something that is known.
And from this I ask: are you proposing that China and NK don’t actually oppress their people? Is that the claim you are making? Because if it is, like I said earlier, please give me a genuine, legitimate source for this. But I’ll tell you what, the sources against your argument are stronger and more plentiful than the ones for it.

Two things can be true at once. The North Korean government is despotic, totalitarian, and abusive to its own citizens. Also, the US government is making it harder on the North Korean people economically because the NK government isn’t bowing down to US imperialism. The US should just leave these countries alone.

I want to thank Muslim Central for trying to educate their viewers on other anti-colonial struggles. The colonized people of the World have the common interest of destroying colonial economic relations. Therefore, the Arabs, the North Koreans, and many more, all share the same struggle. We must work together.
It's not like colonialism is an exclusively western phenomena.
@@Guyverman01 no one is saying that. But you have to prioritise dealing with your biggest threats.
Take the contrast between the imperialist powers of China and the US for example. China has not invaded a single country in decades, they barely use sanctions against their enemies, the conditions on their loans are less damaging to the borrower's economy than that of the IMF, and their general strategy to gaining influence over other countries is to build infrastructure in them instead of destroying infrastructure like the US.
Then there's the US. They invade as many of their enemies as possible, they have laws in place that would allow them to invade the Hague if they're sufficiently opposed to its international court rulings, who they can't invade gets crippling sanctions that often also target other countries for trading with the sanctioned country, they're currently sanctions the Hague for the rulings against what's happening in Gaza, they mass arrest black people on s scale that makes the Chinese treatment of Uighurs look humane, and they refuse to develop their own civilian infrastructure like China is doing.
That's just one comparison. Generally speaking, Western countries are far more destructive than their economically comparable counterparts in the East.
So it would be utterly foolish to damage potential alliances against the West with Eastern countries because you're afraid that they might betray you. Obviously each specific case has its own nuance (Ukraine probably shouldn't ally with Russia), but the general rule is that you need stronger friends who will protect you from the even stronger and dangerous bullies.

As long as it doesn’t harm anyone, we can practice our religion how we want. And as Muslims, we have to respect the rules of the country that we live in. Now if they are keeping us from freely practicing Islam that’s one thing, but if there aren’t any issues with that then the laws of the land must be abided by.

The point was how western governments brainwashed rest of the world into thinking that North Korea is satanic poor country. Infact I also started questioning the narrative 5 years ago. Then I found an interview of a North Korean defector on Asian Boss RUclips channel. The defector was a spy for the government (he didn't told it but I think he's a criminal). He told that North Koreans actually have money but no products to spend on since any of the country doing business with them will be sanctioned. Since I confirmed that 60% of North Koreans live in urban areas, many North Koreans work in China and Russia, if they wanted to run away they could.( Yeonmi Park was hiding in China for around 6 months before entering South Korea.) Also some countries have embassy in NK. Also I found out that South Korean and many western medias pay a huge amount of money to the North Korean defectors to lie about NK. While North Korea might not be a perfect country but at least it's way better than what the western media shows us.
