DDay is hard to portray in a media format. Soldiers were crawling around for hours to get off the beach. Do you really want to watch that? If so it would probably require the movie to simply only take place on the beach.

Also the fighters weren't able to strafe because of the amount of flak guns stationed there. Its basically how the americans wanted it to go but didnt

I love your respect for the ones who lost their lives in that tragedy, they all deserve respect, dying for our freedom to this day. If it wasn't for them we'd be under rule of another nation and wouldn't have the rights we do today.
